Still kinda disappointed that the Benchsitting skillcape didn't come with an emote. And it would've been hilarious if entry to the Max Guild was blocked until you got 99 Benchsitting.
Don't forget the RC cape for helping with the daily Vis wax or for example the WC cape + sentinel outfit for daily runs of elder trees (nice money), crystal trees (nice xp) and the Evil Tree locations for the daily 'free bank teleport' given by the Leprechaun 🙂
I think he's saying It's underwhelming because of the reward vs. effort. Dung and slayer can literally be obtained by daily/event lamping without ever doing the skill. Quest cape on the other hand requires hundreds of hours.
99 cooking cape can be useful, but my question is why do I need a cape to stop burning food? If I trained the skill to the max, shouldn't I always cook food successfully? Same thing with agility cape. I've mastered the skill, so how can I still fail an obstacle? The cape would be more likely to cause me to fail an obstacle, by getting stuck or something, than to succeed. I like the perks of both of these capes, but I don't think they should be on the capes. I think they should be a natural result of mastering a skill. The max cape should also be able to store every perk in my opinion. That may be greedy, but I've mastered every skill, why shouldn't I be able to use every perk at once? The looks of the capes are also outdated. They were cool when they came out, but not so much now. I'm sure there are people that can think of much cooler designs than me, but maybe something like a bunch of different kinds of bones connected together to make a prayer cape, or planks to make a construction cape, logs for a woodcutting cape or maybe even a tree with roots that sit over your shoulder with the leaves towards the ground. That might be a bit ridiculous, but just make something unique for each skill instead of the same cape with a different symbol slapped on each one.
Fun fact I guess. Melvore Idle (a runescape inspired idle published by Jagex) has the Maximum Skillcape as such. "inherits all skillcape perks. Requires level 99 in all base game skills." The Cape of completion which requires 100% base game completion says this. "Inherits all skillcape perks. +25% Mastery pool cap. 5% Damage reduction."
I strongly disagree with the defence skillcape placement. Having a free sign of life to give you the chance to salvage a kill on top of ROD, WHILE freeing up your pocket slot is way too good for it to just be "useful", its a must have. My personal set up for max cape/anachronia cape stand is Invention master cape on anachronia, defence and attack cape in max cape, and swap out either strength, ranged, or necro master capes depending on whether or not I plan on using a certain style for a while. Every other cape is situational enough to warrant wearing them individually when their situation presents itself.
11:05 the aura has a daily guaranteed boss pick. The cape will give you a random chance to boss pick and to my knowledge it's not limited to once a day
For Ironman the Runecrafting cape gets used every day. Your runes don't really have a monetary value, only the value of using it, so getting that 100 vis wax every day is more important than saving some runes
Prayer cape functions as the first age cape - so if you put it in your max cape/anachronia stand you get a 1% global buff to prayer training (I use it for Vyres). It's not much and doesn't make it a great cape but by definition not useless!
Before watching the video, all combat except Necro. Thieving and Herb are my favourites. Not too sure what the others do, never had a use for them. As a Pvmer, defence cape perk is hands down the best in the game.
cooking cape is useful only when training cooking (for mainscaper) :p blue blubber at range with modify cooking headgear and brooch = slight profit while training cooking at decent speed. but only with cooking cape so you don't burn it
dont forget that you can place the 99 dung and slayer capes in your support cape to combine the absolutely absurd amount of teleports from both capes into 1 single item. 100000% must have for clue scrolls
the atk cape pratically useless for augmented gear irrc and the invention cape works out to be ~30kgph saved or something.its been a while since i saw someone break down the math on rs3 reddit when i went to look up what to slot in my max cape myself along time ago. i mean if you're not hurting for slots then might as well put it on there so i can see how the invention cape would be top tier when put in a list since it doesn't have alot of competition, but its not that good when looking at it outside of a tier list.
My take as a maxed ironman S Tier mining/fishing cape, for extra resource. DG/Slayer/QP for teleports. Slayer master helps to chase item collection Herblore master provides 25% more overload for same resource as before. The normal cape lost it values due to change to herb drop on monster so I'm not cleaning herbs that much anymore. Necromancy gives one extra alteration, boost in efficiency is always welcomed. Thieving, maximise afk Strength, adds dpm and synergise well with bleed related abilities/equipment. Ranged, better bolt proc chances means more hydrix proc more adrenaline. A Tier, convenience more than anything Magic(changing activities)/Archaeology(changing activities)/Runecrafting(save few ticks per day)/HP(speed bossing)/Defence(saves one slot)/Farming(saves time)/Firemaking(for clue) B Tier, Niche Agility/Construction/Fletching/Crafting/Cooking/Hunter/Smithing/Summoning. Doesn't see much use for me. But nice to have when spending the resource available for its skill. C Tier, Garbage Invention cape, 2% charge drain is very very minimal, we're saying for one hour of divination you are saving one minute worth of energy. Invention master cape, Scav4 gets all uncommon comps you'll ever need, and all rare comps (except undead from barrows) has 100% drop rate anyway, so 20%+ is useless. Attack cape, again 2% degrade is too low to make any difference. Divination, we always harvest from enriched incandescent wisp in W79, its timer is always maxed out by everyone touching it. Prayer, like you said. Woodcutting, actually useful for imcando hatchet but lose its value after obtaining it. Maybe if bird nest drops clue like osrs it can reattain its value. Anyway, scrimshaw already multiply 400% chance I doubt the cape add anything significant if at all, it's as old as the rabbit necklace
Fletching cape note: perk works for bakriminel bolt making, I average around 2000 bolts from all 8 trees combined, which averages 1.5 fletch perk activations
Best best thing about skillcapes is buying them while asking for a discount wearing the ring of charos. You get them priced half off for a mere 92000 gp. I just love that factoid.
The Daemonheim Aura 1 lets you choose what boss you want to face on the first dungeon too. I read up on the wiki the 120 dungeon cape only has a percent-chance to activate and let you pick the boss. Does it stack with the aura/activate inside Daemonheim, letting you choose a boss between floors? If not, what's the point? The Easy Daemonheim task set is much- well, easier and comes with a bunch of other benefits too. 13:32 Why are you holding the spear like that? That's the halberd stance, not the spear stance.
One thing the slayer cape also does is ushabti filling Acts as if on a slayer task while wearing the cape I think this is double the chance of getting the souls but I’d 100% put def cape as a must have it’s been on cape stand for years now super nice to have passive
Having attack above some of those other capes is wild to me. Also, constitution is a must have for higher level pvmers (which i know this video isn't catered to) as it can grant you another kph or 2 at certain bosses just because of being able to bank much faster
It would be amazing if they add a perk to the Prayer cape that halves the cooldown of devotion! or a passive effect that give a flat 10% chance on hit that your reflect prayer will do full damage back to a Boss/NPC.
I just use dungeoneering, slayer and quest capes on my max cape and swap out anachronia for my passives. Honestly most of the capes are borderline useless or there’s no reason to have access to them all the time, so I just pull out the relevant capes when using that skill, so the qol from the teles is one of the most useful things to have in my opinion
hating on the quest cape is wild. They swapped the mqc effect to the normal because the teleports are massive for a single invent slot for clues. Its genuinely a T2 cape The attack cape is basically pray cape tier because the cost saving is wildly low and doesnt apply to augmented items
Putting Runecrafting in a worse tier than Div tier is such a weird choice, if you're already 99 you are doing Incandescent on w79, where the springs already have max duration due to all the players

yeah you could guess your 3rd slot in vis wax machine but at the end of the day you're just wasting runes stacking up attempts. just use the cape and go from there, if it's a combi use whatever makes the combi and gives most vis (or profit, whatever you want). youre never making a loss on vis unless it's expensive asf runes that are best for 1 & 2 slots (in which case wiki has alternates). basically: as long as youre using cheapest slot 1 & 2 you should be free to use whatever your 99 cape says. better 1 or 2 attempts than 10 that stacks on runes making it ultimately as profitable as if youd just used the cape.

If you have 120 Firemaking you won't need to bring a light source, 120 Cooking you won't have to worry about burning food, 120 Agility you won't have to worry about failing obstacles, etc) The regular version of said capes should in addition to that also have weaker perks, for an example, the regular Firemaking skillcape would only light your way sometimes, Cooking would only allow you to sometimes not burn your food, and Agility would have a chance of not making you fail a given obstacle. Lastly, skilling pets should only be obtainable (and be automatically unlocked) upon reaching the maximum amount of XP in a given skill (which would then make the title "Master of All" make more sense)

a lot of these skillcapes are kinda disappointing. Probably because i don't play rs3 anywhere near as much. But a lot of the perks just allow you to get more exp faster with the skill, but at that point, unless you want 200m. It's kinda pointless at that point. Teleport capes will always be nice though but yea.

What do you need to swap prayer books for?
@@Tristanrlarkin the only reason would be if you had to be on standard prayer book for a quest

Funny how the best skiller capes are from skills that involve combat
As a maxed skiller I was heart broken when I found out you need combat lvl to tele places now.
I have mine in the support skill cape to free up slots on max
Your massively undervaluing the quest cape. You understand the value of the dung/slayer cape teleports. Its JUST as useful.

When you have to create your own content because they won't release any
a lot of these skillcapes are kinda disappointing. Probably because i don't play rs3 anywhere near as much. But a lot of the perks just allow you to get more exp faster with the skill, but at that point, unless you want 200m. It's kinda pointless at that point. Teleport capes will always be nice though but yea.
