I just got the GA-010. 1) It's bigger than I assumed, but extremely legible. The positive screen appears brighter than other G-Shocks I've had. The analog hands and indexes also gleam. 2) The pictures made it look more like a Walmart casio, but it's definitely a G-Shock in person. 3) Party trick - You can start the stopwatch by pressing the start button while it's in time mode. I know some other G-Shocks do this.
That "gap" as you call it, has a purpose... it's to allow airflow better so your wrist doesn't sweat under the dial... I don't like a watch that is too snug because then I sweat profusely
It looks like a great g shock for sports for its lightweight, well ventilated band, stop watch quick access and a big display. The orange GD-010-4 with its negative display is my choice 💯
Regarding strap gap, I have a G-shock GR-8900 solar model with similar designed band with even wider fit than GD-010.GD-010 fits fine on my smaller wrist. Not sure of my exact wrist size.
Jim, Casio is always experimenting with some different hardness of the rubber (resin, plastic) mixture for a bands, for almost every model, so I think it's about a different mixture for a different part of a band, by the way, I'm sure that's extremely hard to produce no matter how it looks. Genuine band is usually important part of the G-shock ''shockproofness''....for me, it was the same situation with the King and with the Mudmaster War Machine so I had to put it at the adapters, but at the same time I didn't have any trouble with the GPR-B1000 and GPW-2000 which are the monsters compared even with GWG-1000. Also, no problem with the Frog too...every single one is coming with the carbon fiber insert band which is numero uno but at the same time every single band is different hardness. To get a real, almost old school G shock which doesn't requires any type of connection in order to use all features for 100 USD is a real rarity in today's world. Absolutely independent bulletproof time measuring tool....that's a big thing....how buying of that thing can be a bad deal? It's a difference between your King and a non solar King, since there's a couple of tiny springs, they are contact between the glass and the module ....if you lose it, believe me you will not find it again, and also, there's nowhere to buy it....there's a video somewhere how to do it properly but that guy is the expert....I don't know, I think Watch 'n carry is the name of the channel or something like that.
You have two bones in your forearm. The radius and the ulna. Between this and the king I would have the king but the one with the positive display. It certainly does appear to wear large but I think its should still be fine... Certainly one to look out for! Take care and God bless Jim!
Good video! I have 6,7 inch wrist, and have had Rangeman 9400. Great watch otherwise but it was pretty big holes on side of the wrist. Then I bought Mudman 9500. What a difference! The wings makes it very well embracing my wrist. I measured only 35mm flat backside, while 9400 has ~55mm. I actually think Mudman 9500 works good from 6 inch wrists. I draw the conclusion from this video that GD-010 will fit very much like Rangeman 9400. So I think it's not good for
Ngl I can't stand it when they don't have wings you can just simply wash the watch what you should do anyway so it doesn't really matter if it picks up dirt
I just got mine today. And I love it. Thanks again for the reviews.

Good info! A lot of people are going to like that stopwatch feature.
are you referring to GA-010 or GD-010?

What is your wrist size? Planning to get one, looks beautiful.

It does allow more airflow than my other ones!
Another great video. Also with the different time screens, you can set whether daylights saving time is on or off for each timezone.

In my experience, the space is normal. I have a GA-110MF and a GA-100 and that gap is there. I also have a big wrist.
I was waiting for a review of this particular model Bro, thank you very much for your work ❤️👍
No problem! Any questions lmk.
My first thought is, it's designed that way to let sweat evaporate? But i own other with that "bend" and they don't rise of my wrist.

Can you please compare it to the casio ae1500wh
Yes, sir. Check back next week.
Ten zegarek się zrzyga tak nim ruszasz . Daj przypatrzec się .
Can you not shake the watch so much so we can get a look at it?
No właśnie, też to miałem napisać. Człowiek tu zagląda, by w spokoju zobaczyć walory zegarka, a nie przewracać oczami.
Does it have a hour chime?
Yes
Does a Casio F91 fit your wrist?
Should be extra long strap
I don’t know. Surprisingly some Casios have longer bands than gshocks.
Charge the King Jim! It deserves better!
Looks like a great watch at an affordable price. Great review.
The price is right!
Amen 🙏🏻
It reminds me of the ship from the Interstellar docking scene 😆

😅 what are you on this morning? There's nothing wrong with the watch😂😂😂
Thank you for the review though good job
I'm on a lot of caffeine!

Big wrist bro 😂
How many watches do you have haha 😂
I would not buy a watch with “wings”. More plastic to contact the skin - collecting sweat and dirt.

Ten zegarek zaraz zwymiotuje tak nim trzęsiesz. Nawet nie można sie jemu przypatrzec.
That is too much for this watch. Its very basic
