Dude, just wait until people learn how to edit the firmware. Rhythm heaven will play on it after that.
The flash chip is 1MB so you'd have to make a very compact version yourself.
Not only is there only 1MB of flash memory, but the USB-C jack doesn't have the data lines connected to anything.
It is already hacked, but you need to open up the device to do so (like already mentioned here, USB has no data lines connected). And you need specific hardware to reprogram the thing.

@@cavifax you can only charge with usb c. There is no way to use it for data.

@@dano7835 That wouldn't work without also adding in custom chips. It may be possible to replace the chip with a larger size, but it's not likely that it would work.
I haven't charged my gameboy micro in about 14 years and it still has power.

It's a Mario 20th Anniversary Edition and it's in pristine condition. But, I wouldn't sell it.
At least not for another few years.

The secret to the game and watch sounding so loud is that the speaker is placed in sort of like a chamber that echos the sound making it louder.
Pretty smart.
I saw it in one of the videos on youtube where someone is taking one apart and to see whats inside and how he can hack it.

You know something? Nintendo kinda missed an opportunity to do a Game & Watch Classic Edition that features over 50 of their G&W games and has a digital screen! This Super Mario Bros one that can play actual NES games and a digital recreation of Ball is a step in the right direction.

One thing that people need to understand is this Game and watch is true to the Original dimension wise. It is designed to recreate that nostalgia. It's not supposed to be a GB micro by any stretch. This is a piece of high quality collectable nintendo art with updated internals, a treat for those who actually played them when they first came out.
The "how fast can you start playing" test was not fair because the g&w was in sleep mode, and you started the gbm from power off. also the gba mario had a "save high score" feature that actually does not save high score but saves the last world you played on, so you can A+start even after you power off...
but then at the end gbm won anyways so i rest my case

This is the Game & Watch video I've been waiting for. I'll disagree on one point however: They kind of screwed up the D-Pad on the NES Classic, though the ones on the Switch Online controllers is perfect.

People are always complaining about scanlines, big pixels in handheld consoles and keep comparing with LCD screens. When you play a game MADE for these screens, the game looks amazing! When you play this games on LCD screens, without any sort of artificial scanlines, it looks awful!
The best way to play GBA games is using nintendo DS 'cause you can play pixel perfect with a really great screen. When you play GBA games on LCD, it just looks bad.
People should appreciate more the pixel art, the TRUE pixel art.

Actually can’t survive a drop already seen a cracked one from a guys daughter dropping it. The micro has a thick metal body and replaceable plastic shields so even if you get a crack you can replace the front.
The Game and Watch is better than the Game Boy Micro, in my opinion

I saw the New Fame and Watch version at Walmart, but never heard of the smaller. Game boy Micro version. Are these smaller Micro games available in the U.S. ?
The Gameboy Micro came out in September 2005.
The Mario Game&Watch is nice and all, but I still wish that they did a bit more with it. Like allow us to play more Game&Watch games instead of just ball.

The Game & Watch certainly can play Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels, and Ball.
The Game Boy micro can play Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2, Fire, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario’s Cement Factory, Boxing, Donkey Kong 3 and Rain Shower, as well as Chef, Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Octopus and Fire Attack.
I’d say the Game Boy Micro is built better. It has an aluminum case after all.

The original Super Mario Bros wasn’t widescreen so why even bring it up?
@@TEDdotcom Fair point, but Fire was. It was also part of the gold series as well, and I guess this kind of resembles that. Besides most people, when they think of Game and Watch, usually think of the stage from smash bros, because it says "Wide Screen". But I get what your saying.

It's because it's emulating the NES game except the resolution ain't enough to match so the image is a bit squashed on the game boy
Well, if you actually instal a cfw on the game & watch you might be able to play rhythm heaven
Fun fact: the battery in the Game & Watch is the same battery, they used in the joy cons. Also Fun fact: The battery of the Switch Pro controller is the same as the one in the 3DS.

The gameboy micro is better because it has a swappible cartride feature to play different games,you cannot play different games on a modern gsme & watch handheld without unofficially hacking it.

Not much of a side by side when one plays 4 games and the other plays every gba cart.
I Will Stick With Game And Watch.
I mean as much as the Game and Watch looks cooler, the Micro wins simply for being able to run Doom and Doom 2 ports. Yes, the GBA has official ones, but it's pretty much law that everything runs Doom 1/2 at this point.
