- Lyrique has started our third watch, Heure Zoulou (Zulu Hour)-a watch with two retrograde hands in addition to standard centered hours and minutes. It is DTZ in that it deals with both Zulu time-pilot talk for GMT/UTC time and local time.
Another master piece in the making :D Thanks Bill.
You're on deck Abdul. Take care, Bill
I enjoy the Lyrique video series, especially learning more about the Swiss watch industry. The watches look great and I’m getting interested enough that I might just join in eventually.
Hi Ced, you can join the 4th Lyrique Group-just looking at the minute. facebook.com/groups/2834947146654502 Take care, Bill
I can already see another successful project! Congratulations Dr.!
Thank you very much, Javi! Hope you're right! Take care, Bill
Incredible idea, Bill. It hurts to see you guys releasing banger after banger and unable to be part of your group because of financial limitations. Best wishes!
Tarasankar, why not start a group of your own with something more affordable? Take care, Bill
Love it Bill! Looking forward to all the projects coming from Lyrique
Hey Rolf, thanks man! Take care, Bill
Retrograde 24hr is a very cool idea
Our Zulu Hour watch, HRM. Take care, Bill
Thanks for giving back to the community ❤
My pleasure Ǒguz. Take care, Bill
Great video, thank you Bill!
The first glimpses of the design for Lyrique #3 look terrific, both in terms of style and function.
It is also very interesting to get some insight into the behind the scenes goings on and what is involved with designing a watch and getting it made.
I really look forward to seeing the #2 once they start being delivered.
Glad it was helpfu, Mercurial -Take care, Bill
Everything about it is amazing… including the amount of work! I’d love to have your take on your first expectation before E1 and now! So much learning
Once we get #2 in our mitts Cesar, that would be an interesting take on the whole project. Take care, Bill
Great video Bill. What a great idea to give everyone a peek inside what it takes to take on a project like Lyrique, as well as a glimpse into the beginning design of Etude No.3.
Best regards, Brian
Got a huge response, Brian. Getting everything balanced out is going to be 'interesting.' Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci I'm confident you will lead us to designing a third beautiful one of a kind watch.
Regards, Brian
@@xpdchief7698 Lots of little things going on. Back to Cat Herding 101.😁
Maybe it isn't too late to add a power reserve indicator? 😀 This looks really nice! Great and original design.
I love PRIs on hand-wound watches, but not with this current watch, Lex. Take care, Bill
Nice video mate 🥃
Thanks 👍Tim! Take care, Bill
Big congrats.. Can't wait to see the real life render
Me too, Aldo! Take care, Bill
Definitely an enjoyable passion project. Can you give an idea of the budget that you’re looking to stay within? Also, to what extent would you allow individuals to customize things? Obviously, the movement, case and probably dial color would all need to be the same for cost reasons. But perhaps things like the strap could be different from different people. thanks and best of luck.
It's pretty well covered in the video. Essence. Go to Lyrique.ch and click the contact button for more info. Take care, Bill
I wonder if E1 was launched later on, more or less when E2 was launched if we could actually get it going since demand peaked so much.
Remember, we're not a business Cesar, just a bunch of watch collectors... an all volunteer enterprise. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci I know, Bill. I meant if they would help us since they would be too busy with bigger clients
Hi Bill.
Is it possible to join and order with u?
Just send a note through the link at Lyrique.ch Shaq...like the video suggest. Take care, Bill
It seems like art deco is having a bit of a revival lately, at least in watchmaking. Does it seem that way to anyone else, or am I overthinking it? Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing what Lyrique comes up with for #3.
It seems designs are all over the map lately, CT. I do like Art Deco though. Take care, Bill
This sounds amazing. All the best w this endeavor. Are the watches supposed to be for the group only or can people outside the group purchase them?
Since we're funding it by ourselves and not selling for profit, everyone who signs up for a watch is "in the group," J. Take care, Bill
Bummer. Appreciate the response Bill @@watchartsci
Great vid, Bill
Hey Paul, thanks man! Take care, Bill
Why not build more for sale that will drive the cost per unit down for everyone? I want one but didnt get a reply for an invite to the group awhile back.
You'd need a sales organization for that.
It's not easy coordinating 100 people, and we've cut down on unit costs somewhat by planning our next watch with parts ordered from the previous one, Albert. With just 100 people we're dealing with $1 million. There's no reason that others couldn't get together with a larger group and do the same thing we are but ordering more watches. Why not give it a try yourself? Take care, Bill
Bill, the question I asked is a problem the group has because of its own success. Lyrique is gaining a lot in popularity and I think there is a growing demand. Why not have another tier of people not involved in any decision making/responsibilities but will be required prepay for the watch...aka a customer of Lyrique? The problem being addressed is cost of high horology but availability is also an issue. Having Lyrique strive to accomplish both issues would be even a bigger accomplishment than it has already done. Others can make another group but there is not another Bill.
@@albertl-ce2kz Albert, any group can do what you suggest. You could as well. Lyrique is completely reliant on volunteers who are learning the business as we go along ... what you suggest would add a level of complexity we just don't want to deal with. There's no reason that you can some other collectors cannot do what you suggest.
Hi Bill, the problem is trust. We trust you. And you have trusted relationships. Many of us are collectors but don't have the trusted relationships you do. I, too, expressed interest back during project No.1. But many of us feel like cannot do our own project due to lack of trusted relationships.
Will there be a website where we can make a deposit ?
They're working on it Daniel. Check out Lyrique.ch. Take care, Bill
Good evening Bill. I really liked your project. Is it possible to purchase model 2 and participate in project number 3? Please don't refuse me right away🙏
There may be some slots for Project #3 ... go to Lyrique.ch and click the contact button. Take care, Bill
Bill - will this be similar to the Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight Heure d’Ici & Heure d’Ailleurs?
Adam, I think #4 will be more like the VC&A. Take care, Bill
Is the aim to launch one watch a year?
Not exactly, but that seems what we're doing Cesar. Take care, Bill
I could be your charity Bill I'd gladly accept 😉
I went to the website & inquired about Lyrique #3 hopefully there is a space for me. I didn't have enough money on the first two projects , my mother passed recently & left me some money it would be great to put it into a watch Everytime i looked at the watch it'll remind me of her.
Junior, you were sent an email how to connect-did you get it? Take care, Bill
I'll check now.@@watchartsci
I've thought it over it's out of my price range but i appreciate the chance to be involved. Thanks Bill 🙏@@watchartsci
I would love to join this project if possible.
Chris, go to Lyrique.ch and contact me through the link there. Take care, Bill
Possible to join the group too? Would like to get a watch too
