Me and a couple of mates organized a show night and watched both seasons of Huntik recently. This show is everything and even more than what I remembered, one word, amazing!!!
The thing i remember the most about this series (aside from the intro song) is how good of a creative decision it was to have the "outsider thrown into an urban fantasy setting" protagonist's first power be a set of wings. It lets him shine and show his personality without needing him to be some prodigy at combat or the magic system.

I showed this series to my boyfriend, and we kept joking about how it was just Persona with extra steps. But genuinely, this is one of the cartoons I fondly remember from my childhood. An age of Saturday morning cartoons we'll unfortunately never get back.

I absolutely loved Huntik. I remember they would release codes during the episodes that let you unlock titans on their website. That had me so hooked when I was younger. Made me feel like a seeker

Huntik was THE cartoon here in Portugal when I was younger, me and my pals loved it so much. I fondly remember roleplaying Huntik with some friends, I'd always play as Dante cuz he was my favorite :P
This was my SHIT when I was younger. Here in Italy it got quite popular, since a project this ambitious coming out of italian animation is a once-in-a-decade, sometimes once-in-two-decades occurrance. It was fun, cool and it definitely scratched that shounen itch my younger self desperately craved. I can see how on the surface it would seem very derivative, and that is probably the main factor behind its downfall. But honestly, there are many small details about its world, story and characters which, when combined, really make it quite unlike anything else I've ever seen. Absolutely awesome. I hope Mr Straffi can give us at least one more show as incredible as Huntik before he retires.
That show was my jam. Everything I love is in there, urban fantasy : adventure, history/myths and ancient civilizations, summoning beings from another realm to fight for/with you, adorable slow burn love stories, mysteries, puzzles and traps...

Sadly even though it was running in the middle of the day here in Germany at either nickelodeon or toggo no one else knew it which always confused me and made me really sad
One of the most memorable cartoon scenes I’ve ever seen is from this show, the episode where the main underling of the bad guys returns home and basically assumes control of the whole small country and the good guys go there to try to stop him basically but they’re shocked that the locals don’t want them to because the people of this small country have been suffering through war for so long that they don’t care who rules them anymore they just want the fighting to stop, it’s just a really powerful and deep topic for a cartoon and it’s executed beautifully
Omg, for some reason my brain had literally wiped this show from my memory until I saw the thumbnail and something just clicked deep inside my subconscious. This video explained why it was wiped from my memory tho; Huntik was among the shows that I watched in my preteens right when my interests were shifting and also when my life was at its most tumultuous, and when the second season came I didn't watch cartoons anymore (I had moved on into anime). No wonder this show that I only watched one season of didn't stay in my mind.
Huntik was such a great show, which during my childhood was definitely one of my favourite series.. I'd watch it over and over and over. I'd wanted it to continue sooo bad.
I really liked this show when I was younger. I watched it with my best friend back in middle school. I had to move to another place after middle school, and when I visited him a couple years later, he had forgotten all about the show. He moved on and I couldn't, because I didn't make new friends as well as he did.
I was really young when Huntik aired. I remembered the characters really well but not the show's name. When I got hold of internet I had to search a lot to remember the old cartoons that aired on Jetix to finally get the name. The art style was really cool and the characters were really pretty and handsome. I might have been 8 ,9 or 10 can't exactly point out the year but I had a huge crush on Dante Vale. I am sad this didn't have enough fanbase and many people didn't watch this so whenever I see someone being a fan I feel really excited to see them talk or comment on it.
This video unlocked so many memories from my childhood!!! From the card game to the show itself to jamming out to the theme song, there was so much with this show that I have fond memories of. I was also always jealous of all the merch that Italy was getting that we weren’t as well, like they had collectible amulets and stuff. Writing wise I don’t know if I could confidently say it’s aged well or necessarily something I could still enjoy just as much at the age I am now, but one day I’d want to revisit it for sure
This show was the whole reason I got into D&D, I had completely forget about it, but I'm so glad to see it brought up, because I can enjoy your take and some nostalgia!
Wow! You covered so much informations about Huntik into 13 minutes (You even learn me some things I didn't know about the creation of the series) I think I can say this is probably one of the best Huntik review video I've ever seen on UA-cam! Congrats! I subcribed to your channel and I already watched some of your other videos. Can't wait to discover your next cartoons reviews!
I have had this on the edge of brain for a while but could not put a name to it. Then Jordan just backhands me with the answer and nostalgia. Thank you for that, it was driving me nuts
Salve, da italiano posso dire che Huntik e stato si apprezzato in italia, ma rapidamente sconfitto in popolarità da altri cartoni (esteri e italiani) ma confermo che la fan base è sempre stata molto legata alla serie. Thank you for talking about the series. Italian cartoons from the early 2000s are... weird. they bring the nineties behind them wanting to experiment with oriental aesthetics, many people in italy do not look at them favorably. Thank you for taking the time to watch this short but enjoyable series. Only advice on the winx, after the third series have suffered a protto collapse
I honestly miss Huntik: Secrets & Seekers. It was a good show. I honestly wish they continued it more, but it's sad that they didn't and thanks for posting a video on it not many people do 👍

This show was so good. I would love to see some kind of reboot or re-airing of the show for a new audience to see because I genuinely think it had so much potential as an IP. Definitely putting Huntik on my list of shows to show my future kids alongside transformers animated and the last airbender.

I want Iginio to continue with season 3, or make something to continue the saga. The thing that i want to know is why in the end of the last episode, we see the Red Comet still working as well as the Spiral symbol. This could be a continue to the story and I hope that can happen.I have loved Huntik since I was 5 yrs old,due today. I have hope in Iginio even if it is impossible to return to Huntik!
man, seeing this & remembering huntik has me remembering another show about collecting monsters… this one was more cartoony in its stylizations & it took place in some kind of more fantastical alternate world… i feel like it might’ve been based on an old card game or something? man! only vague memories but i can’t get glimpses of it out of my head now!
Thank you for finally explaining the bit about the animation in the second season. Honestly I did lose interest after the first season but I never knew why
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES, recently rewatched for nostalgia, and realized that season two looked great....for like the four episodes that WEREN'T flash animated. I was so disappointed they dropped the ball on that. But it was exactly what I wanted to watch at the time. Summoning monsters and fighting ALONGSIDE those monsters instead of them just doing everything. Love this show

You have no idea how LONG if have searched for the name of that show, it felled almost like a dream, THANK YOU
I really liked this show when I was younger. I watched it with my best friend back in middle school. I had to move to another place after middle school, and when I visited him a couple years later, he had forgotten all about the show. He moved on and I couldn't, because I didn't make new friends as well as he did.
I've been trying to remember the name of this show for years.
Thank you for this.
Man I used to love this show. This made me wanna rewatch!
This show was the whole reason I got into D&D, I had completely forget about it, but I'm so glad to see it brought up, because I can enjoy your take and some nostalgia!
Huntik was one of my favourite shows growing up I wish it got more recognition
Absolutely ELITE theme song I miss this show so much
I have had this on the edge of brain for a while but could not put a name to it. Then Jordan just backhands me with the answer and nostalgia. Thank you for that, it was driving me nuts
I have had huntik stuck in my brain for like 6 years
Salve, da italiano posso dire che Huntik e stato si apprezzato in italia, ma rapidamente sconfitto in popolarità da altri cartoni (esteri e italiani)
ma confermo che la fan base è sempre stata molto legata alla serie.
YES! I used to love this show as a kid/teenager. It was one of my favourites!!!
I honestly miss Huntik: Secrets & Seekers. It was a good show. I honestly wish they continued it more, but it's sad that they didn't and thanks for posting a video on it not many people do 👍
Honestly, I grew up on 4kids entertainment and really missed this show. I found it on UA-cam along with the Winx Club, and Sonic X. Nostalgia right there
THANK YOU!! THIS WAS MY FAV SHOW AS A KID AND I STILL LOVE IT. I TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME! THEY DEF DESERVED MORE SEASONS. LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
I remember seeing this series as a kid and I loved it
I've wondered how tf this show was called for the past 3 years because i remembered watching it a lot and thinking it was epic
thanks for making this video, it was so cool going through it
Basically, Tomb Raider meets Yu-Gi-Oh and it's amazing
dude i fricking loved that opening soundtrack so much! one of my all time favorite kids shows
I miss Huntik secrets and seekers. After season 2 when I was 13 I waited for a 3rd season considering the end tag and yet it never came 10 years later I look at it fondly
Thanks to Jordan. After so many years I finally able to watch again
Omg. Huntik was my showwwww. The amulet summoning was always such an epic concept.
Huntik has remained firmly lodged in my head for the main reason of... THAT GODDAMN THEME WHICH SLAPS SO FUCKING HARD!
I just finished watching this show again after I last watched it on NickToons and Huntik was amazing
I loved this show as a kid and I still do.
This was one of my best childhood memories and today this day possible has one of the greatest theme songs for and animated show.
This show was so good. I would love to see some kind of reboot or re-airing of the show for a new audience to see because I genuinely think it had so much potential as an IP. Definitely putting Huntik on my list of shows to show my future kids alongside transformers animated and the last airbender.
Dude, this is the second time you've given me flashbacks since the slugterra video, Are you reaching into my brain and grabbing some random thoughts at this point? Bravo!
I thought this was a fever dream I had as a child… I can’t believe it’s real
This was literally my favourite show, and to this day it is probably one of my greatest inspirations, absolutely one of the greatest Italian cartoons
This show is insanely good I wish it got more of a chance
This is the reason i started watching your channel
I couldn't remember the name of the show i have been trying to search for it, for years
Thank you so much
I want Iginio to continue with season 3, or make something to continue the saga.
It's cuz of your videos I can learn that some of my childhood shows had an unreleased season not aired in the USA😭
Dude, Kalaban was my first ever real gaming nick that I had for like atleast 5 or 6 years lmao. This show really gave alot to me as I was younger xD
Thank you for finally explaining the bit about the animation in the second season. Honestly I did lose interest after the first season but I never knew why
God this video sent me back to my early years when I watched the show after school, I had almost forgotten about it, thank you for making this
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES, recently rewatched for nostalgia, and realized that season two looked great....for like the four episodes that WEREN'T flash animated. I was so disappointed they dropped the ball on that. But it was exactly what I wanted to watch at the time. Summoning monsters and fighting ALONGSIDE those monsters instead of them just doing everything. Love this show
This was my favorite cartoon when I was a child
