- It’s finally time to talk about Storm Hawks, a long awaited show for myself to cover here on the channel after my video discussing Slugterra. Storm Hawks is another show that is packed with a lot of deep lore, rich storytelling and fun characters, so today, I wanted to dive in deep with Storm Hawks, what made it such an interesting show and sadly how the show left us with a lot of questions.

Thanks so much for watching! What are your thoughts on Storm Hawks? Would you like to see an actual ending to the show? Let me know!
In my opinion it definitely deserves an ending.
Thank you for doing my request
@@blackguyofthesouth2161nope I looked into it & turns out I did watch this I always remembered a game where I was a flying plane fighting stuff ahead of me, the character designs gave me some nostalgia & I remember some sort of flying show with an evil Queen
One of my favorite shows of that section of my childhood. Cliff hangers suck. ;-; It deserves an ending.
Season 3 should've happened
Holy shit I really loved this show. It had a real 'Jak and Daxter' vibe that drew me in hard. I miss it...
Glad I'm not the only one reminded of Jak
Yoo this exactly
omfg 100% agree with you!!
Same
Same here pretty much. It it always reminded me of that and Hotwheels Highway 35 as well as Acceleracers.
Storm Hawks is criminally underrated--... ... no, not forgotten either, remembered fondly!! My favorite show from the late 2000s. Storm Hawks design and aesthetics are seriously so cool, the air bikes and weapons, and even the armors and clothing were so well thought out and designed, its like you could imagine how they felt like and handle! If Storm Hawks had a revival, I think just because of its uniqueness and originality it could really do well in our streaming era. Also, Master Cyclonis is peak Emo girl...!
I have no doubt that a worrying portion of modern audiences would be enamored with the goth overlady
Yep. The domme goth/emo girl boss was my favorite character. But I really like the protagonists too.
I had such a crush on Master Cyclonis...
I definitely had an "I can fix her" mentality.
People thought rhe was a mmorpg for this TV show
If Master Cyclonis' drip is not a teenage goth girl icon then I don't know what. Also the stylisation of 3D in this show is really inspirational (apart from the same-face syndrome on humans and the overall model rigidity).
Cyclonis was my best girl but yea her and Stork definitely listened to Linkin Park
@@AbdefFable1 bro😭😭
i had a crush on cyclonis when i was a kid.
@@steinsverd97 same
Ngl i love Cyclonis until today
Anything: (exists)
Stork: “we’re doomed.”
This was one of those anime inspired shows that really understood the anime aesthetics and tropes.
The large eyes, angular silhouettes, unique weapons, mcguffin magic system, consistent strategic use of special attacks.
Idk about aesthetics but yeah
@@mt32boi45 Well, the show wasn't all that over the top and loud, but the design convention of anime is pretty evident in the character design
I like how the pet reminds me of daxster from jai and daxster
Also it can be flashy but knows when, which yep anime, as th extragated expresstion wheand making use.
Storm Hawks was the thing that really sparked my love for airships. It really influenced my taste in fantasy arcana punk ascetics.
This guy is unlocking core memories with every upload
Found this channel recently and 100% true, reminded me of me sitting at home and watching cartoons that I thought no one else I knee watched. Makes me miss those days
I remember being obsessed with this show and the characters. I wish they continued it.
My favorite part of Storm Hawks was how unapologetically evil the villain Cyclonis was. They teased you that she might be have a turn through her friendship with Piper, but nope, she is too evil for that.
And that's good?
pretty generic but there was foreshadow that Cyclonis was just a loner and her rise to power is a mystery.
sounds a lot like frieza
@@itsblitz4437better than forcing to have villains have some sob backstory and turning good
Sam Vincent's voice as Aerrow and later Eli in Slugterra really solidified him as THE cool guy voice.
He later took over Lloyd Garmadon's voice in Ninjago in 2018 and while it felt weird at first (because Lloyd was never the "cool guy"), Sam proved that he was the perfect choice by aging up the character and elevating Lloyd to a level of seriousness and proficiency we had never seen prior. Lloyd was one of the central and best parts of the 2018 storyline and I don't think the story would have been nearly as good, gripping, mature, or intense without Sam's superb voice acting.
It’s sad this never got another season, it left off with a big cliffhanger. Plus I wish we get some more romance with Aerrow and Piper.
What is it with shows ending on cliffhangers? 🤦♂️
@@benjaminfenty8745 I don’t fucking know.
Honestly if it comes they might make Piper gay or something else
@@rojaerobinson8324 other Shows have been doing the whole Gay Character thing nowadays(which I don’t mind, but I’m still straight so don’t kill me), hell maybe the show will make Piper into a Bisexual. Plus I forget when are Main Characters went through the Door, did they end up in another Universe or the Future?
Woooow I do remember this wtf
Stork is my favorite character. I love how much full of depth he had.
Ah, yea, the Nervous Wreck.
I related to him so much.
Perhaps because of my then-undiagnosed Generalised Anxiety Disorder, lol.
STORM HAWKS WAS MY #1 Favorite Cartoons Growing Up. This was as GemStone of a Show! Jordan THANK YOU FOR This Blast From the Past i was a Kid when this show First Aired. Aerrow,Finn,Junko,Piper, Stork, And Radaar (And starling) Fighting the evil Talons of Cyclonia. Master Cyclonis and her Generals. The Dark Ace, Ravess & Snipe and Repton. I watched this show early mornings On the Old Cartoon network. I'm Crying Tears of Joy that you Explored this Wonderful show back into the Review spotlight. Your a Real hero!
fr I really need to go back and totally watch everything but I remember that I loved this show although I rarely got to see it
@@d4s0n282 i wish they didn't leave on a cliffhanger tho they really need to bring this show back
yah, the motorcycle planes were super rad
Shows like Storm Hawks helped me remain a huge fan of animated shows over the years.
I've only seen a single episode of this show as a bonus feature on a DVD I owned as a kid, yet I still distinctly remember the visual style after over 15 years. For the life of me I could NOT remember the name of this show. Thank you for making me realize that I am not crazy and did not imagine this series
Hahaha, I know the feeling.
The best part is Epiphany you have when you rediscover it...
Storm Hawks was a show that I saw randomly while channel surfing, and honestly the style and characters got me hooked. I have the first season on DVD and watched through it a good dozen times. Honestly how they did their worldbuilding through terras really has resonated with me when it came to world building for my own stories and such.
big shame this show never ended well. It was literally one of the reasons I became a professional animator. Also one of the reasons I adore cell shaded graphics to this day. Almost worked at nerd corps after i got out of college too, specifically because of storm hawks. But ended up working at a studio closer to home.
I adored this show when I was younger. Still love it.
I like cell shading but not in this style. More like Japanese fighting games from early 2000’s style
Shame you didn’t land with the crew that made the show. But at least you found your dream job.
Oh my god, yes. The aesthetics of this show stick with me to this day.
The episode in all the smog is one of the few things I just vividly remember from my childhood.
Terra Deep? That one was great, but my fave is Cyclonia Rising Part 2, I still wish we got to see more of the Farside of Atmos, makes you wonder what they could have found. I swear I heard the creator say in an interview Dark Ace would have came back
Storm Hawks remains in my mind rent free because of that striking artstyle. I think it was the first time I've ever seen tv CGI attempting to replicate the stylization of 2D animation.
Good lord, you have no idea and mean NO IDEA, how long I've been trying to remember this. I've been having feint images of this show floating in the back of my head for months but the name has eluded me every time
I remember when this first aired on Cartoon Network, and I thought it looked so freaking cool. The character designs especially, are amazing. if Cartoon Network can release the full series on DVD or even here on UA-cam, I would watch it in a heartbeat.
Idk if it’s still up, but I watched the whole series here on UA-cam.
There is some playlist with the whole series floating around here, binged a bunch a couple years ago and it was still as fun as it was when i was 8 lol
I watched the first few episodes on a pirate site a few times
I loved this show so much because it reminded me of Jak and Daxter aesthetic wise. I hardly remembered this show until this video - which is strange because I loved it so much as a kid.
I feel like we're gonna get a Dragon Booster video soon! We got Slugterra, Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 and now Storm Hawks, all made by the same studio
Anyone remember the "Dragon Booster" trading cards? I think I still have mine somewhere.
Don't forget League of Super Evil
@@NyeMechworks yeah😅I had no one to trade with starting to think I was the only one with them lol
Don't forget Max Steel!
@@NyeMechworks Yeah I remember dragon booster
You sold me on this series. It seems like a fun enough watch despite the looming knowledge that it has a cliffhanger for an ending.
The hidden core memory unlocked by the appearance of this video is astounding for me. I have been literally trying to remember the name of this show for years! All I could remember was the show that had a few alien-esque characters with some human main characters that had floating islands and they got around on flying bikes. I thought Sky Riders or something for the title in the vaguest of memories I had from when this show was still on air, but the moment I saw the title and thumbnail it all came rushing back to me. The memories of watching this show with friends and thinking a video game would be amazing for it... oh, the nostalgia... I'm so happy to see this because it means I finally can answer a question that has been burning in the back of my head for years on what this show was!
I think both Storm Hawks and Slug Terra franchises could have benefited from a game where you make your own character to explore the worlds they built.
@Druid of Scosglen I think that if Netflix picked up Slug Terra, Storm Hawks, or Dragon Booster. the shows could get the love they truly didn't from Nerd Corp or those they had dealings with.
There was a storm hawks game! I played it in primary school!
@@evancashman7614 ooo😮
It's gotta sell enough toys first, that's why pokemon and yu gi oh are so big the anime was just a huge toy advertisement
@@That-guy0801 thing is they don't sell toys they sell cards hehe, but this show could have soled a lot of toy's too but they didn't make any good toy's for it cause of how the market is now, if the toy is too good it's too expensive.
they could have gotten a good game out of it though, pick a tera and become a member of there sky knights, or be a free agent and get your own ship.
Slug Tera had the makings of a good game too with a wild west gunslinger setting adding in pokemon aspects with having to find and catch slugs.
I actually loved Storm Hawks, I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one.
The Skimmers were so damn cool, wish we could've seen more
VERY COOL! I used to LOVE Storm Hawks but haven't thought about it in years!
Edit: I'm not sure if season2 was ever released in the USA. If it was, they dumped it on some odd time slot because I've definitely only seen the first season. Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, there's still an entire season I haven't seen!
Sometimes I wonder if it might be better to think of Storm Hawks as a one season show than think about the insane cliffhanger they ended season 2 on.
@@PC2000 hmm... Very interesting. A fan re-scaled the show to 1080p60 and uploaded it to UA-cam - so I've started a re-watch from the first episode. But I've definitely only seen the first season. I'll probably watch both, even if I may regret the suspense of the cliffhanger.
I managed to deal with only having one season of ThunderCats (2011) so I can probably handle this.
Thanks so much for the extra support Paul and for being a member, your support on all of the videos means a lot!
I absolutely loved Storm Hawks as a kid, I remember watching reruns whenever I got the chance. There were a lot of good shows with this art style now that I think about it.
I’d also recommend Max Steel, the 2013 cartoon. It’s a 3D animated superhero series with great action and a good amount of camp to it to be enjoyable. I highly recommend it for a review down the road.
Keep up the great work!
Storm Hawks is what got me into Skypunk. I can't thank this show enough for being a massive influence on me.
Even if I can't remember a single episode, except for the one Junko was addicted to Vinegar for some reason LMAO

I love seeing your videos come up in recommendations. It's usually a series I totally forgot then just seeing the thumbnail brings back all the memories.
Damn seeing this show again definitely brought back some nostalgia for me, really underrated though.
As a very big Slugterra fan, when i was watching this and the main character's voice came up in the clip, I immediately screamed "WAIT IS THAT ELI?!" lmaooo
Thank you for covering Storm Hawks! This show was my LIFE back in the day and after watching this, I think its high time I sit back and give it another rewatch, if only to see my boi Stork again
holy crap dude! i have been trying to find this show since 2013!!!! i remember back around 2008 seeing a few episodes back to back and the only character i could remember was stork being paranoid about something and everyone kinda just brushing it off. i have been trying to find it for years LITERAL YEARS now since 2013. i was starting to think i was crazy and that it never happened! thank you thank you thank you so much for this upload! i know im a year late in saying it, but i really do mean it thank you so much. all i need to do is figure out where i can rewatch it and i will be happy.
As a kid, I really liked Dragon Booster. Once that show was cancelled, I was glad Storm Hawks aired and was able to complete its story.
I loooovvveeeeee dragon booster. I wish we got more : (
Getting a Dragon Booster Academy continuation would be awesome.
Release the dragon!!
Storm Hawks did not complete its Story.
@@itsblitz4437 Yes, I remembered a big cliffhanger and it never continued.
This is one of the reasons I love your channel so much. You cover shows i loved from my childhood that i literally do not see many other people talk about! I loved storm hawks!!
Bro, the character dynamics of the show and the sky battles were amazing! And then when Cyclonus started to become a major player in the story, things go so interesting...Damn that cliffhanger...
this should get an dedicated fan reboot in my opinion.
Best line in the show: "The secret of frozen yoga? IS FROZEN YOGURT?!!"
Storm hawks was amazing, I liked the crystals and the ship and bike designs. Another good show cut short.
You have now video on the three shows that shaped me from my childhood, its amazing to see them come back to life like this. Thank you very much ^_^
This series has stuck with me forever. This was all kinda of coolness i wanted in life with its own big personal vibe and attitude that just cant be mimiced
Duuuuude, you gave me back another missing and forgotten show from my childhood, man!! Thank you so much
Back at the tail end of 2019 I watched the whole series on UA-cam. I loved any episode with Master Cyclones in it. She doesn’t seem like her character is evil for the sake of evil, she’s just the product of her upbringing. Her and Dark Ace are competent villains, unlike their Team Rocket-like minions which makes them fun to watch.
This one was something special, I remember being at an age where I was fazing out of childrens television so I never got too invested, but the core concept, characters and visuals were so cool the show always stuck with me, so it's nice to hear the actual plot finally lol
I never really watched it, but I remember seeing it on TV a few times and always thinking how much the character designs reminded me so much of Jak & Daxter. I always thought it was some kind of tie-in lol
DUDE I was thinking the same thing. this kinda stuff always catches my attention. good shit!
@𝖒𝖆𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖊 𝖊𝖑𝖋 Between Junkos ears, Radar being some weasel thing, and the general aesthetic of the outfits, the whole show really does evoke Jak & Daxters style.
I remember Storm Hawks and enjoyed the characters, the episodes, and the overall story. I even liked the relationship/rivalry between Piper and master Cyclonis. Piper is clearly my favorite character in the series. The one main problem with this series is that I had is that it didn't have a proper conclusion. I wish we got to see how the storm hawks dealt with master Cyclonis in the far side of Atmos.
Man I loved this show right off the bat on concept and vibe alone, rewatched a few years back and still love it. Especially the first season. I still quote Stork from time to time, he's the best!
Loved this as a kid. Wish it had more of a chance.
I adored this art style back in the days and the world and story building had so much potential,, many old series seem to do. The style could have quite fitted on the PS1 or PS2 for sure if they would have made a game. Fantastic series, 10/10 very nostalgic, thank you, J-Man.
Was in love with this show as a kid! Flying motorcycles, steampunk, and magic.
for the longest I couldn’t remember the name of this show so I literally waited for your channel to drop a video on it and you finally did, thank you 😭
YES!! It's finally here 💞
So mad I'm late coz UA-cam decided not to send a notif even though I have them on!
Holy shit I remember watching this back then! It’s underrated as hell, I honestly hope that you cover league of super evil as well since I think it’s made buy the same people :)
This show left such an impression on me I kept looking for episodes of it online until finally found then on a pirate website and then on UA-cam. It has so much potential and I think would do really well nowadays.
Oh I'm so happy someone acknowledges my favorite childhood show I literally had the Storm Hawks logo tattooed on my right arm its probably the most criminally underrated animated TV series ever.
Damn dude, you did it. Been struggling real hard trying to remember this one, on and off for at least a year, and here it is! I was lucky to catch maybe five minutes of it on tv back then, so I was about ready to think it was one of those shows I just imagined.
This show was like a lost media to my mind, thank you for brining this memory back
One of my favorite things about that series was Storkk, with his deadpan snark.
And of Storm Hawks, Dragon Booster & Slugterra, this one had the most Future Potential, with them setting up an entirely new area - kind of like what they did with the Western Caverns in Slugterra
This was another show I had forgotten which greatly influenced my world-building and writing as a kid. So many characters and stories created initially as my own branded Stormhawk knock-offs which, over the years, evolved and grew into their own things.
Storm Hawks is one of my Favourite shows, Flying motorcycles, energy weapons, split-up islands/Terras, Crystal Based magic system. Its great to see someone talking about it, I didnt know there was a fan base around the show, maybe it and get its finish in this age of reboots.
Such great ideas with this show, kick ass lore, sounds tracks, visuals, fights, flying freaking motorcycles... Although it was severely lagging in pacing, you have all of those assets and yet most of the first season was about gathering some crystals.
I LOVED this show as a kid, and it still holds up today as being one of the most creative shows I've ever watched. Maybe I'll go back and rewatch it some day, I feel that'd definitely be worth it.
Man… these vids are so cool, but they also make me sad cuz most of these amazing shows end up cancelled before they can finish their tale, usually because of outside forces
Cant believe this was the title of this series I've been looking for this ty for covering this jordan another banger you have as always with the nostalgia.
Whenever there's a niche show I can't remember the name of, I'm at ease knowing you'll probably talk about it a month later
Absolutely love this show. It was soo good, had a Clone Wars feel too it too ngl. Sucks it ended so early since we went out on such a massive cliffhanger. But I still enjoy the show for everything you pointed out in the video. The characters, the world, the lore, the villians, the vehicles & weapons. It's all top notch
i loved watching this show in the mornings before school and wanted to watch it again but i always remembered the name as Storm Riders because of their flying motorcycles, glad you did this cuz now im gonna rewatch it
I hadn’t heard of this show until recently but the character designs and artstyle are right up my alley.
Again, better explanation than me. I didn't go over the different companies and the issues they had instead I had a full blown 20 minute fanfiction that shouldn't have been in the video. Great work Jordan :)
One of my favorite shows. I loved riding dirt bikes and wanted to be a pilot so flying motorcycles was the coolest shit
YES FINALLY! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE! Now I just need to wait for Detentionaire and my life will be complete!
I would love to see more of this show desperatly!
I'm rewatching and enjoying this show. Thanks for this video.
I remember seeing the first episode of this as a kid and always getting super excited when I saw that there was another one airing, only to find that they reran the first episode again.
I was so invested in just trying to find out more and never got it.
This is one of those few I wish came into existance again, with the new era of tech for animation. I'd love t osee this one flesh out more.

Yeah it was so good and unique too.
@@erikbihari3625 not going to lie my memory is fuzzy from that time I thought it was in 2005😭
Thank you so much for making a video of this show. I remember every afternoon watching dubbed versions of this after school (I'm Filipino). I always thought the landscapes were beautiful and the story compelling.
YES, this show was my childhood, and my first experience of a cancelled show on a cliffhanger
I'm so glad I found this video. I had this series on my mind recently, but couldn't for the life of me remember its title. I only caught a few episodes - the time it aired was around that point in life where I started to feel like I was "too old" for cartoons, and so I had only vague memories. But the setting was so cool that it stuck in my head all this time. And the aesthetic is incredible. It's aged surprisingly gracefully for a CGI cartoon.
I could never remember what this show was called and I've been trying to remember it for ages. As soon as I read the title all the memories came surging back
This was my favorite childhood series, I'm glad I'm not the only one who still remembers it
Honestly I thought this show was a fever dream. I only remember bits and pieces because of the art style and the music I liked.
It's crazy how well the character designs and animation holds up. The art direction in general is severely underrated, and incredibly memorable.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW!!
Sir, sir I cannot thank you enough!
This show aired in France when I was a kid and I bloody loved it! But, like many other things I loved at that time, I just couldn't find the name again until YT put your video in my recommendations!
Thank you so much for the nostalgia blast, keep making good videos like this one (I... I think I'm gonna binge watch the rest of your channel btw, cause I saw a video about Code Lyoko and it's an absolute classic here in France so I'm interested to see how it's seen by other audiences)
PS: Also I love the background music you use, btw.
God this is the perfect exemple of why I love this channel. This show is a prime exemple of something I watched as a kid that lived somewhere in my brain and when I saw the thumbnail I just exploded.
That’s what I’m saying exact reason I like this channel it’s about 1% of my brain that’s telling me I watched this. Some of the characters are pulling at my Brian & I’m glad for this
Storm Hawks was one of my favourite shows when I was a kid!
I remember having some of the toys and they were surprisingly sturdy.
That carnival episode still lives rent free in my mind. Man I miss this show
This show was the Slugterra of its time. Very familiar feel. Especially when it's the same voice actor.
also same creator!
I have been watching all of your content and I've been loving all of it but it brought a forgotten show back to the front of my mind. League of Super Evil. It was also a Nerd corps production but I remember only catching it at odd hours and no one ever talking about it. It was a fun little show, maybe worth a look
this was one of my favorite shows when i was younger and i really would love for it to come back
Man what a memory unlock, and yeah I'd love to see this show come back.
I feel like you unlocked a hidden memory lol. I definitely watched this show, and I remember making bionicle versions of the weapons and vehicles, but I completely forgot about it until you dropped this video, so thanks for the burst of nostalgia!
Your videos are literally memory unlocked
Storm Hawks always gave me Jack and Daxter vibes with the designs, which really drew me in. It really helps that the show was great too! Wish it got a longer run, though.
Thank you so much for doing this - Storm Hawks is one of my comfort series, so much so that a friend sent this to me immediately when you uploaded it 😀
So my relationship with the ending is weird. I never really minded the main story cliffhanger, since it felt more like saying "the adventure continues and your imagination can take it from here, but know that Atmos as it stands is safe." And I liked that Cyclonis was left alive for us to daydream with. I love her as a villain - absolute emo teen girl energy with a side of totalitarianism. So I'm happy that she got to live to the end. I also think it's pretty clear that the Far Side being the Hawks' new home and adventure is their final fate, since the Oracle prophesized that they would be gone from Atmos, as sad as that is. But hey, if you don't wanna believe that, there's at least one alternate gateway back, as proven by our good "friend' I.J. Domiwick.
That said, it was a different arc that left me wanting. I was absolute Stork trash, and I still am. I love him. I love what you said about how he represents balancing kindness with fear, because YES. That's a narrative that means a lot to me because I have anxiety disorder and worry about things in general. I also must admit that I got into this series as an adult, SEVERAL years after it had stopped airing, because I'm a 'toon geek like that. So while I enjoyed watching the kiddos on their shenanigans, Stork being the character who either was literally older or coded as the team parent/big brother was the place I really could set down my self-identification. I loved watching his relationships with the others grow - his platonic bond with Finn is one of my favorite things. I love how protective he is of Finn. Of everyone really.
The thing that kinda got me in a bad way, though, is the finale-arc episode "Payback," which is his last big focus episode - it bothers me SO MUCH that the entire plot of it is him wanting to unalive without ever telling his found family a word of it. If Repton hadn't said that he could build another Condor, he WOULD have unalived on Terra Bogaton, after we'd seen a scene of everyone else meeting up and clearly expressing concern as to where he was. So I was like "Well, this can't go unaddressed" but then it just was, and it...shook me pretty bad to think about the fact that he almost succumbed to his demons without the people who love and care about him even knowing a hint of it. If I want ONE thing out of a continuation of the series, I want a conversation about that. It doesn't have to be weighty - it's a kids' show, after all - maybe just a little swap of dialogue like "If that ever happens again, we're here for you"/"Maybe I do have something to live for after all." I dunno.
That said - while I'm not really clamoring for a full third season (I've kind of accepted that the show is over and I like having it feel relatively "complete" in my mind without risk of being "ruined" by a bad finale), your idea of UA-cam shorts interests me. That would be a REALLY fun way to continue the legacy. Just little bites of these dorks having shenanigans. Plot optional, though I suppose it would be only fitting to finally wrap with Cyclonis...much as I would hate to see her actually literally die. But villain fans can't always get what they want ;-)
Again, thank you for filming this!
This is the kind of series I loved as a kid and knew existed but felt like it was just a dream and couldn't remember the name of lol
Finally! Ive been looking everywhere for this show!
You should definitely cover Dragon Booster too. It was the show the Storm Hawks crew made before this one. It had a really cool cyberpunk world.
damn, I had memories of this show jump into the forefront of my mind a few days ago and now youtube shows me this. I gotta give this show a watch sometime now that i know the name of the show once again. thanks man!
