@@spiraken Thanks for replying. I actually saved the video to keep track of the Manga I plan to read. I would like to suggest kokou no hito ( the climber). I've been checking it out and looks pretty interesting.
Thank you very much. I always try to recommend more unique manga series as oppose to the obvious serious. Which of these are you the most interested in reading? Definitely let me know. also if you have any recommendations for me, feel free to share and remember to keep reading manga!
Have you're read Seizon - Life? Pretty short but a father who has terminal cancer wants to finish his days solving his daughter's murder. Worth checking out @@spiraken
I have read it. I reviewed it back in ep 288 in 2018. It's one of my favorite recommendations, but its a shame that we won't get it released in the us. either way, check out the review here ua-cam.com/video/8iGdi1SQLiI/v-deo.html or on our website at www.spiraken.com/e/ep288/ and definitely know what you think about it
@@spiraken i actually ended up watching the whole thing in the background while doing chores, and the chronology + consistent pacing actually make it perfectly fine without timestamps but ya, timestamps are still a courtesy for viewers with specific interests 👍 I feel like you missed a few due to the ambiguous idea of seinen/adult vs shonen; off the top of my head I would say DeathNote is enjoyable for adults like Monster - has murder + mystery. or even ChainSawMan along with the other references to fujimoto, because even tho it’s action whatever, it deals with the adult topic of debt, jobs, sex, gaslighting, etc, and I feel like it was 💯 notably hyped title to know about 🤷♂️ dno, that’s just off the top of my head feedback about what I can remember about the vid 👍 all-in-all good stuff
you know a helluva lot more about manga than i do, so i ask.. do you think that, despite manga being more popular than ever in the west, the quality of it is deteriorating? I noticed that pretty much all of the most legendary and solid manga showed in this video was all in the first half. in my opinion, the quality of the manga and even the art style drops off dramatically in the mid 2010s. lastly, and kind of related to the above, i am a fan of a more surreal / realistic art style in manga. the type mostly seen in manga from the 90s / early 00s. this style seems to be less and less common as time goes on. the manga highlited from the last 10 years in this video seemed to be mostly simplistic and cartoony. in your opinion, is this a deterioration of quality of work by modern day mangaka, perhaps caused by tighter deadlines for release etc or just whats selling nowadays?
great video by the way. found some cool recommendations here! hopefully my above message is easy enough to make sense of. i struggle to articulate things at times.
Thank you for the comment @charliegreen3426 , It warms my heart knowing people get some great recommendations out of my videos/panels. I had to cull 30 years worth of material down to 2 hrs, so there were tons of titles that I had to edit out and forget about . Still my complete list is available on our website www.spiraken.com Now to answer your question, I ended up writing an entire 3 page essay on the subject then had an idea. I will be doing a video of this answering your question. it will be up by the 14th of September (Slight technical difficulties) . I will link it here. either way Keep Reading Manga and keep being awesome
@spiraken wow that's great! interested to hear what you have to say and get a comprehensive perspective on this topic :) been collecting manga for around 2 years now and loving it so much. manga is a beautiful thing! glad I stumbled across your channel mate. all the best :)

Thanks for the reupload!
you are welcome. due to the scrambled audio, had to re record it without gretta, but it sounds better. so what do you think @ajirarevani3185
… this needs timestamps…
It's coming soon. What did you think of it so far?
