No! I won’t believe it. I’ll take this as a happy sign that it got the push it needed and this story is continuing. I think it’s too cryptic to say either way. It could be a sign that it’s over, or that this story is continuing. Maybe Saw XI is a direct sequel like Saw V. With the first scene of Saw XI being John leaving with Amanda and the kid.
Does anyone else find it odd that Lionsgate would finance THREE STRANGERS MOVIES instead of multiple Saw movies!?! I don’t think there was a die-hard fanbase clamoring for more Strangers movies when it was a fine stand-alone horror movie (I didn’t watch the sequel, but I don’t think it proved viable as a franchise starter). Why couldn’t they have just financed a Saw trilogy instead? That would’ve been a certain return on investment since it’s a bigger horror franchise than something that tried but failed. Heck, my idea for three more Saws would be to wrap everything up: Tie all the loose ends and bring back virtually all the characters living or dead (dead ones can come back via flashback) from all the movies (including Jigsaw and Spiral), and go out in a grand series finale. I’m sure Elwes wouldn’t mind returning as long as Lionsgate will pony up enough dough for him to return for at least ONE movie. We never got a real explanation for his unexplained heel turn in 3D, so we deserve something to properly close that proverbial bathroom door when they come to it (New leg doesn’t do it, since Kramer did put his family in mortal danger). Whatever happens, I’ll definitely support it, but they really need to get their heads together on how Saw XI properly continues, and hopefully end it in MAYBE 2-3 more movies in the current canon. Saw 13 sounds like a nice round number to cap the series. My two cents. *knockonwood*
For real I never understood why they didn't make a follow-up for SAW 3D like we needed some real answers it ended on a big cliffhanger, we need Saw 11 and saw 12 be about follow-up to saw 3D and another SAW 13 about something I dunno but yeah three more movies wrap it all up and we don't need reboots at all after this.
@ Idk if you know about it but there was an official proposal for a Saw TV series that was pitched as an anthology show where Billy the Puppet would act as the host (a la Cryptkeeper), and it would be set within the Saw universe. There’s a large part of me that would’ve shrugged at this idea, but a tiny portion would’ve said, “Ugh! Maybe just one episode”. Lionsgate should really get their head out of their @$$es and trust the makers on how to properly do Saw going forward. In fact, and as much as I really sincerely hate myself for saying it, but Tobin Bell is no spring chicken so they really need to get things rolling before he can no longer take the part anymore. As Saw X proved, he is the total face of the franchise and not some police pig marionette or iconic comedian.
Honestly, I’m fine with X being the final movie. It obviously won’t be regardless, but very well could be Bell’s last. It was a good send off for him, and I doubt the series will have much success beyond John Kramer’s presence. That’s why they should get their shit together quick and shoot two movies back to back, released a year apart, so we have a trilogy beginning with X that wraps up the series with Bell’s inclusion. The title for the last movie is so obvious that I can’t believe The Final Chapter didn’t use it: Saw: Game Over
The guy mentioned Scream because the speculation on the street is that since Mark Burg is Jewish and Oren Koules’ wife is Iranian, the producers began feuding once the Israel-Palestine conflict heated up on October 7th of last year.
If Saw XI isn't happening, I think I'm okay with that cuz Saw X is such a perfect send off to the franchise and ending. When I watch the movie until the ending it felt like that this is the final chapter. Plus I have no idea where they should go with the franchise especially with John Kramer already dead.
2018 was great, kills had great kills but the plot could’ve been better and Ends should’ve focused more on Michael or at least had Corey be in 2018 and kills so we would at least feel for him a bit more
I mean they did good with Halloween 2018 halloweens kills kinda rush but the final oh my god they ruin it they almost made perfect reboot horror movie trilogy because they rush it I am just sad about I just hopefully Blumhouse don’t get hold of saw series.
If Saw 11 is canceled, we likely won’t be getting another film with Tobin and any of the original cast again and instead, another reboot or god forbid, a remake… I hope it’s not canceled and is still coming next year. It’s not official yet… If this gets rebooted instead of doing one more movie with Tobin, let alone by BLUMHOUSE, my support for the IP stops and I’ve been watching since the beginning.
He's 82. But you're right. Delaying, let alone cancelling the film, is not going to help in any fashion as Tobin is needed to further the story of Jigsaw. I even recognized how much slower he was moving in Saw X, despite it being early in Jigsaw's cancer diagnosis, obviously age settles in with everyone. They need to stop lollygagging around and get to work on the film while Tobin is still mobile/coherent.
Lionsgate should put out more lore merch. What do I mean? I want Saw comics, novels, etc. The best we got were two video games and a prequel comic that is pretty much retconned after the fourth movie. Freddy, Jason, Michael, Alien, Predator, etc got a f***-ton of lore merch, so why couldn’t they do the same for Billy and Jigsaw? I somewhat don’t care whether it’s truly canon or not. I just want more Saw content while waiting between movies.

Blumhouse would be the dead for Saw. Same as a Reboot. Saw lived from the messy timeline and all. Whatever of those two points come true. We‘re fucked.
My hypothesis is that this new era of Saw is about how the cops found out Jigsaw is John Kramer. I would love to see that story. I think they should let Tobin Bell keep going and once he retires or passes then reboot it but let this team cook. X was great.

Might be for the best, the last 3 movies, Saw 3D, Jigsaw and Spiral left much to be desired, but Saw X kinda ended the whole thing in the highest note it could, that last scene when John and Amanda walk through the doors into a new day for the audience was like walking into the sunsent, maybe it's time to leave Saw to rest.Might be for the best, the last 3 movies, Saw 3D, Jigsaw and Spiral left much to be desired, but Saw X kinda ended the whole thing in the highest note it could, that last scene when John and Amanda walk through the doors into a new day for the audience was like walking into the sunsent, maybe it's time to leave Saw to rest.
The story isn’t as convoluted as people think they should just continue from the 7th saw and have a movie about the remaining impersonators of John Kramer and go from there or even after the 9th saw and have all of them against each other and have two sides one to side with and one to go against
Blumhouse is awesome Don't get me wrong, but if they get their hands on the saw franchise who knows if it's going to be a success or a huge fail. Blumhouse should focus on the movies that they're very good at. Lionsgate should just continue on that franchise unless Blumhouse can offer something that'll keep the franchise interesting and not ruin it like the exorcism
I loved Saw X and really hope they can finish on a good note. Lionsgate also owns Leprechaun. I hate the idea of Blumhouse trying to touch any more horror movies. I wouldn't mind a reboot down the road but let them finish up their stories and keep it away from Blumhouse, they ruined Halloween, Exorcist, and have a a bad run of movies lately.
Saw definitely needs a reboot. I’m all for it and I’m a big fan of the good saw films. I saw the potential. And I saw why they killed him off so early. Things are good in trilogies and that being said…. Sadly money makes people do stupid shit.
I love the Saw franchise, even get some pleasure out of the worst sequels. Love the storyline up to Saw 7. Sadly, I recently watched Saw X and I don’t see the praise people give it. Besides Tobin Bell’s storyline and the kills, the acting and dialogue was horrendous by the sub cast. Writing wasn’t that good, and a lot of stuff was distracting with the low. Budget. Like Spiral, this film connectively feels disconnected from the rest of the franchise. Even though it fits between the first two. I would consider it, at best, the 4th best movie in the franchise. It also didn’t leave anything interesting out in the open to care for a sequel. Comes across as one last ride with Tobin Bell before he is too old or passes away. I think they will have to end the franchise and put it to rest for a long while. There just isn’t any steam left, especially when these films are barely hanging on with low budget entries.
A Blumhouse Saw sounds like an awful idea. Blumhouse has been too cookie cutter, too focused on PG-13 or as close to it as they can get for too long, and even at its best plot-wise, it's just not Saw if the kills aren't nasty.. even Spiral got that much about it right. All they have to do with XI is bridge the gap between X and 3, because we still don't quite know how Amanda goes from being the apprentice with morals and a soft spot for kids that she is in X, to the unhinged killer making the impossible traps in 3. She still has too much faith in humanity by the end of X for that transition to really make sense.
Is saw 11 canceled? Yes or no? I dont rake rumors, i dont take scoopers, i dont take leaks and i dokt take possibility. Ao since u baited us with this title, is it canceled?
I don't know... I personally would hate a reboot. No matter how messy the story is, I still adore it. I'd prefer X being the last one over them making a reboot.
Look at Sid Haig. Rob Zombie waited too long before Sids health declined. Sid was always ready and willing. They did 3 From Hell wayyyyy too late. We NEED these original people as much as possible. The Chris Tucker SAW film, was TERRIBLE!!!
Blumhouse lost me as a supporter after they released the horsesh*t that was Halloween Ends. Then The Exorcist Believer came out and I said 🖕🏻 this company. If they get Saw then that’s the last nail in the coffin for that franchise.
Saw has been my favorite horror movie franchise for a little while.. The plot/plot twists, John Kramers back story are fantastic.. always keeping you on your toes. I loved Saw X, But i feel like i would not be too mad if they ended it there.. Plus, lets be realistic.. How many more movies could they come up with? I get they could go to other peoples perspectives.. Like Amanda, Etc. But they can only last so long before they just come up with random things and ruin the franchise.. am i wrong? I mean i love Saw but they got to end it at some point.. I don’t think I could watch a Saw remake. Tobin Bell is John Kramer no one else could pull it off like he does. It just wouldn’t feel right. If Tobin’s not in it, I don’t think I could sit through it. Don't get me wrong, Blumhouse, MOST of the time has great acting and production, but lately their movie plots have been... well... Not... Great... lmao, I don't see them doing a good job if they took over Saw and i have no doubt in my mind that they would ruin it completely.
There are half dead people at 65 and there are fit people at 95. I dont know what tobin is, but age shouldnt be a factor alone to decide if he is capable or not.
3c, i know how to save the franchise! Bell is too old to carry the franchise into the future and the franchise needs the apprentice to finally take over and i know who!!!!! THE COLLECTOR!!!!! His film was originally supposed to be a saw film and his third film was cancelled! Bring that awesome character into the franchise and take it over!!!!
You can’t reboot Saw with a new casted John Kramer. Tobin made that character and anyone else playing John will fail. Hell they can’t even do a stand along jigsaw copy cat and live up how they gonna live up to a new John.
I really hope no Reboot with a terrible remake, they need to carry on. Saw and Scream are the few franchises that decided not to make a rubbish Reboot, Chucky was almost one of them but then they had to do that bad AI one for no reason lucky they carried on with cannon Chucky.

Two creators arguing and sending the franchise into an endless purgatory… hmm wonder what other horror series that reminds me of 🤔
Saw X is a great finale to the series if this sad news is true.
The story isn’t as convoluted as people think they should just continue from the 7th saw and have a movie about the remaining impersonators of John Kramer and go from there or even after the 9th saw and have all of them against each other and have two sides one to side with and one to go against
SAW.... Blumhouse... NEVER
Blumhouse is awesome Don't get me wrong, but if they get their hands on the saw franchise who knows if it's going to be a success or a huge fail.
I just want more saw films regardless of who it is. I love the series
I mean we might as well leave it on a good note with Saw X and do a reboot
Sequel with Carlos taking over
I say that they should finish 11 and make 12 with his Jigsaw actual death then hand it over to Blumhouse for the reboot
Jigsaw is already dead though unless you're speaking about Hoffman or Dr. Gordon.
That's crazy I mentioned selling the rights and instantly I thought of Blumhouse taking over the franchise
Finally, I can rest
I’m gonna lose my mind if it gets canceled
Continue the series until Tobin Bell passes then sell the rights to Blumhouse
Tony todd passed away?? Damn where have i been
Is saw 11 canceled? Yes or no? I dont rake rumors, i dont take scoopers, i dont take leaks and i dokt take possibility. Ao since u baited us with this title, is it canceled?
I don't know... I personally would hate a reboot. No matter how messy the story is, I still adore it. I'd prefer X being the last one over them making a reboot.
bruh i dont want blumhouse saw
New Saw 11 poster on Letterbox!!!
My guess is think mite he will a do project or just cancelled sequel saw 11
Look at Sid Haig. Rob Zombie waited too long before Sids health declined. Sid was always ready and willing. They did 3 From Hell wayyyyy too late. We NEED these original people as much as possible. The Chris Tucker SAW film, was TERRIBLE!!!
Blumhouse lost me as a supporter after they released the horsesh*t that was Halloween Ends. Then The Exorcist Believer came out and I said 🖕🏻 this company. If they get Saw then that’s the last nail in the coffin for that franchise.
Pretty much *the end* of the Saw franchise
Lionsgate better not cancel Popeye the slayer man and yes I'm serious
EDIT: They're probably just gearing up for a crossover between Saw and Popeye 😂
I mean, Tobin Bell is 82 years old. Are they REALLY gonna keep having him do this???
There are half dead people at 65 and there are fit people at 95. I dont know what tobin is, but age shouldnt be a factor alone to decide if he is capable or not.
@ChristophH96 I guess, if he WANTS to do it, cool.
I don’t want Blumhouse anywhere near Saw. I will boycott
I say one more time. ONE! MORE! SAAAAAAAAW!
NOOOOOOOOO! THEY CANT REBOOT SAW! IT’S TOO SOON! MORE SOONER THAN SPIDER-MAN!
Blum house better not fuck this up if they try to make a reboot i will actually be mad 😤
Consider they already have it filmed and everything I really doubt it he just posted a picture so I don’t rlly know why everyone’s crashing out lol
if blumhouse makes saw 11 i will not be watching
