My theory is that someone buy the factory to run some of those streams, and obviously the previous owner knew about this
So its a red room type thing. Maybe the factory owner was pressured into letting whoever runs the red room use his factory but out of guilt he sold it and ran before becoming a victim Tom is likely a acomplice since they mention a camera man who disappeared before.
"This is how people die, lack of communication." Please tell this to my bosses, Manly. Holy. Facking. Crap. These horror games are ASMR compared to my job.
Record the problems and the attempts at getting someone to fix them. Especially when it comes to safety. Keep all correspondence. A basic amount of safety is expected no matter the job. I'm not saying that everyone should be lawsuit happy, but when it comes to employer negligence, they deserve it.
The title reminded me of a really disturbing event/case where a news journalist killed herself on camera, she was in a critical condition after she shot herself. Later, a note was found from her which she wrote herself predicting that when she shoots herself, she’ll be in a critical condition at the exact hospital she was thereafter pronounced to be in such condition
@@arachnid9873 I believe she was going through depression. You can find more information about her, just search ‘Christine Chubbuck’. Really interesting yet quite sad imo.
@@arachnid9873 from what I searched it appeared she had depression which mainly stemmed from the lack of intimacy in her life. In her last days she hosted a party and talked about dying on live, which was brushed off as a joke. Day she died she had a whole script supposedly made for staff to read when reporting on her. I kinda think that the matchup with her condition was more planned and it appeared to be a sort of twisted joke. I mean she shot herself in a place that ensured she would likely not survive or at least remained critical. Sad story all around
@@יוגבמיצנגנדלרThat is (sort of) debatable. But escapism as a moment of respite, a way to get your thoughts together and as a rest can (in my opinion) truly help you. Obviously all should be done on it's fair measure, but I think that there's some kinds of actual positive escapism (but it all depends on your definition of the word in the end).
So the last bit where the news anchors said Linda and Eric were last seen in the news garage is some sort of clue that either 1) the news network owners are in on it, and Tom really was talking to Linda on the phone and was lying about the helicopter (I'm sure she'd have heard them landing?) and being outside to lure her out. Or it could be 2) the killer cloning the number and faking Tom's voice to lure her out, and so she never got in contact with anyone to tell them where they were stranded, and thus the news anchors were right about that being their last known location. I almost feel like option 1 is more likely, because they were obviously being stalked before, and it sounded like Tom was pressuring them to get that specific story done, pretty much sending them to the abandoned factory in the first place. They had so many other segments that they had ready to go, so why would it be that important to get it done before morning? The machine is still weird to me, too. It probably is some sort of cremation chamber/wood chipper type of thing, but they put enough emphasis on it in the story to made me think it was going to be something more.
i think the fact that linda's other helper disappeared helps to further the idea that tom, probably the owner of the news station, is the mastermind behind the killings
I'm only at 5:26 in & it's already reminding me of a few reasons why we shouldn't pollute the environment: a long time ago, a river actually caught fire because of all the pollutants in it. Also during 1 nasty winter in Europe a bunch of people were burning cheap coal and driving everywhere to get presents and stuff. For days the smog was bad and people ended up dying or very sick from inhaling the smog. Turns out a rare reverse tornado was over the area keeping the smog down closer to the ground but it still forced them to take up a clean air act of their own.
Channel 7 owns thw building, using their broadcasting technology for the signal their own employees as unknowing, yet willing participants to ignorantly stream their own demise
Biggest thing about the factory - it is said it was abandoned recently, but the environment looks like it has been decaying for decades. All the windows don't get shattered and the roads and parking lots don't get covered with dirt and hay in a few months or something. Also the bridge is ridiculous, a single lane wooden structure to connect to a factory of ~1000 workers?
Finally I found the channel again... This is the one channel that I've been looking for since it's good narrations and I can listen while doing something else.
17:17 “no, it’s a video game, which is worse. The problem is, since you’re a video game, I can do this” *AGGRESSIVELY CONVULSES* “and you can’t stop me.”
I liked how it left me questioning what would happen to one or both of them every time they split up, which was about every five seconds lol. And I legit thought the uniform on the wall was a body from a distance. Nailed the atmosphere! But yeah the threat sequence was a really small fraction of the game which didn’t leave me much time to feel in suspense. Side note I like the variety of your videos! One day it could be a visual novel and the next an RPG Maker horror, it’s lots of fun.
Why did the new station act like they had no idea what happened. The boss was at the same place and they were in contact. Maybe the boss runs this whole thing.
18:54 I LOVE this part bc I KNOW that if I were playing this, I'd immediately assume someone in my house is playing music/watching TV, or it's one of my noisy neighbors and at MOST I'd think I'm hallucinating or something It'd be so subtle and unnoticeable to me and I genuinely love that detail bc you don't EXPECT music to be playing somewhere like here and your brain tries to justify that sudden, unexpected sound
While I don't see much of a similarity myself besides the machine apparently being used to shred bodies (which doesn't seem sentient), I do appreciate the reference. That Abnormality was also really neat to fight in Library of Ruina. =)
I doubt the resemblance was intentional, but they are still very similar. They both have someone who stuffs people into bags(?) and tosses them into the grinder. The only major difference is the design of the machine.

I love how Manly hears a noise before going thru the gate and goes "What's that!?" going back to look like some NPC or the protagonist in a horror movie. I mean I get it, it's a game and you don't want to miss any content, but it's really funny in the context of watching a main character make horror movie cliche mistakes.
I can’t even imagine how hard it must have been for the producers to make these backgrounds. I feel like I’ve actually been in these abandoned buildings and neighborhoods I swear…
This definitely doesn't seem sustainable for Tom. This is now at least 3 of his crew missing while on the job. And since he seems to be in charge, in places where he sent them. Even assuming there have been no disappearances that we weren't told about, there's now an established pattern for the police to follow.
I thought the same, wouldn't the footage being streamed be a source of evidence for someone especially an authority since it's online? Wonder how the murders can be hid with them being on verge of public access.
The real question is why the fuck did they park there? The entire road was empty, but they decided the best spot to put their car was around 3 corners in ally? Maybe it could stop thieves or something but it feels like such a waste of time
I was SO HAPPY that this game showed the true horror of having to wait for a tape to rewind. Unsorted VHS was a fun game to watch Manly play, but the lack of rewind necessary to replay the tapes was jarring.
Wait "last seen "Station Garage." Wait a minute.....did Tom send them to their doom? Because it almost sounds like there wasn't a helicopter on its way and Tom could tell people that they just disappeared and DIDNT go to the factory.....otherwise the reports on tv would of talked about "Last connected from the abandoned factory"
Yep, it's implied that Tom and possibly the news station is in league with the Red Door/red room stream. I think the stream might even have been tapped directly to the cameraman's feed, and for that to happen, I think someone in the news station has to be in on it.
That odd live action ad at 13:46 seems more 1992 than 2000....maybe even 80s. Visually. BUT! We knew what the internet was, did not need silly ads! The fringe was more fringe and less mainstream, and no one looked that clean cut.
Manly suddenly stopping to do something offscreen was like that part in Marble Hornets when Jay says he sees The Operator outside of the building he's in but when he pulls the camera up to show there's nothing out there
Ngl the surface concept immediately reminded me of Michigan: Report From Hell. Also ngl very surprising reveal at the end, not the best reveal but honestly took me by very big surprise. Especially compared to the previous entries. I kinda had expectations but they were definitely proven wrong.
For once the camera man isn't invincible. He finally turned his creative mode off, haha. Aside from getting half-clickbaited since Linda looks like Ame from hololive, this really gives a "true crime" feel. Actually spooky.
I think Tom is most likely in on it because the end scene mention both Erick and Linda being last seen in the station garage when he knows they are in the factory. Some people think that the Tom in Linda's call is fake but I don't think so because there isn't a single hint that points to that. In addition, neither Erick nor Linda remembered about this second recording about unemployment, maybe Tom made it up to make them go to the factory. He also doesn't display any anger at Linda's forgetfulness about her assignment, maybe he is just putting on a show of being understanding? Not to mention his line of work would somewhat explain the snuff livestream, him having access to that sort of technology. Lastly, I'm getting the impression that this town is a small one because they mention most people are reliant on the factory for work and there isn't much other places to get employment, so how does the station manage to get a helicopter? It could be that they aren't local and is a decently sized station.
What was hidden in that rewinding tape? Who was the man in the car? Why did Linda dissapeared, leaving Erick alone? Why the hell did that whole bridge fall? Judging by what Linda said about her last camera man, I think she is also a raptor. She was paid to bring him to get him to dissapear there. That was the whole deal with "Tom" a.k.a. the killer. It is just that in this case, the killer wanted more, so he decided to also kill her. That explains all her lies and why she wasn't scared at all. But the bridge falling is uh something wack, perhaps the killer did it so Linda wouldnt escape?
I have a theory i think if we are to make an argument about the bridge maybe Linda knew about the Bridge will fall and that she and the killer knew a safer but longer way around the area. An maybe one reason why he killed her was probably cause she might have been with the last cameraman when he disappeared with Erick also disappearing. The Police might start questioning her about this sudden coincidence of another coworker she was with at the time and she might break under interrogation a reveal her accomplice. So the killer knowing that she is a potential threat to his identity has to get rid of her before police start snooping around and the killer has to skip town.

Guess what? It's the found footage vibe!
It’s because reporters have always been the perfect sacrificial lambs. They always chase their stories, even if it costs them their life
I don't know why but Erick being spelled with both a "c" and a "k" is activating my fight or flight response
Manly doesn't mention it, but at 8:39 there's a click and door closing sound that seems to be coming from the door further in the apartment. It's not the front door, so it has to be that one. And Cameraman's narration changes to say that it's stuck and he finds that weird.
Somebody is in your apartment, dude!
Holy shit. That's creepy af.....
when he suddenly had to take out the trash and had to walk further down to toss it (and then the car), all i could think about was that scene from The Strangers honestly....
He didn't even notice it LOL, and that cactus plant was on the floor as well
@@rafaelferreira7408 Nice catch!
For those who missed it (like myself!), there was a cactus plant next to the TV (example at 7:41). When Manly comes back upstairs, the plant is knocked over and on the ground next to the couch.
Given that the plant was next to the TV and the VCR is taking a suspiciously long time to rewind, it's possible the intruder was watching the tape (and then started rewinding it right before they hid themselves).
13:35 the perfectly timed “i became a shit poster” & then the cut to no signal killed me 😂
I will never get over these PS1/PS2 styled horror games. What an awesome genre. Thank you for playing so many of them for us to see!!
It’s honestly incredible what was considered hard to do a few decades ago is so widespread it has its own genre nowadays
@@chrysanthemumfire6456 Yeah a one thing about these kind of games is the slow psychological effect of the environment they are in. It makes us use are imagination more on what kind of being we are up against.
Its actually more intriguing than todays horror. Resident evil is becoming repetitive and no longer scary.
@@pauldg913 hmmm yes as opposed to vhs filter low poly game with some inhumanly strong and invincible killer, that has definitely not gotten old yet
@@pauldg913 games, like most media stopped being scary for mostly the same reason. Flashiness over substance. Resident evil was never scary per say, most of us were just kids. But it had creepy ambiance and the plot was super new and would intrigue you yet you had anxiety because death and suspense was there. Now you have flashy graphics that have to be well lit if not people will complain. You have an arsenal of guns and cool moves because mass market wouldnt enjoy rocking two guns on limited ammo and a knife all game. The story now is either a continuation so you're familiar with the setting and apparently has vampires now? Big wtf and not in a good way shit all I remember people talking about last game was woah choke me plz mommy. Same with movies. Shit rehashed plot and script. Lotta flashy cgi but the only scary things are ear popping jump scares that make you flinch even if theyre super predictable in theaters.
I swear the scariest are these scenes 4:20 where manly just disappears and does not elaborate further
Based on the computer sound, his windows was probably interrupted.
@@CCSakura92 that is a sound that can simply come up for tabbing out, whats weird is that he doesnt edit these
The horror thing about this game is the jump scared windows notification sound that play out of nowhere.
Maybe if Linda didnt call Erick an imbicile Cameraman maybe she wouldve survived
They obviously died because they left the gate open, it had a sign telling them to keep it closed
Maybe if they actually brougth someting for selfe defence in a place where there is no security, no real comunication to the outside world or had the patience to not do that alone they would have lived.
Like comon, If theres a rougue drug addict there what you gonna do when It ambushes you? what if theres multible?
atless bring a gun or a tazer or even pepper spray would have done it!
@@Darkpq1742 That too~ But karmas a bitch
Maybe im wrong since it has been a long time i heard something about this, but during the mid 2010's there was an urban legend about some streams in the deep web, were some horrible things were mainstreamed inside some red rooms.
My theory is that someone buy the factory to run some of those streams, and obviously the previous owner knew about this
"the mid 10s" dude what
I don't think 2015 had netscape anymore
18:45 "well, we're dead, hey did you know we're d- huh?"
Manly's timing will forever be impeccable
So its a red room type thing. Maybe the factory owner was pressured into letting whoever runs the red room use his factory but out of guilt he sold it and ran before becoming a victim
Tom is likely a acomplice since they mention a camera man who disappeared before.
"This is how people die, lack of communication." Please tell this to my bosses, Manly. Holy. Facking. Crap. These horror games are ASMR compared to my job.
What type of job do you have?
Whatever you do for work, I really hope that this mentality is corrected before something terrible happens.
Record the problems and the attempts at getting someone to fix them. Especially when it comes to safety. Keep all correspondence. A basic amount of safety is expected no matter the job. If you "happen" to get hurt and can prove their negligence and incompetence in solving the issues, then you have a pretty nice lawsuit on your hands.
I'm not saying that everyone should be lawsuit happy, but when it comes to employer negligence, they deserve it.
Yeah, get every terrible order in writing and CYOA. Wishing you a good weekend and a better boss.
Love how Manly play every game just voice up the character as his own personality character in every game
The title reminded me of a really disturbing event/case where a news journalist killed herself on camera, she was in a critical condition after she shot herself. Later, a note was found from her which she wrote herself predicting that when she shoots herself, she’ll be in a critical condition at the exact hospital she was thereafter pronounced to be in such condition
oh god yeah i remember that, the footage is gone but the audio thats still around is super disturbing
Sounds spooky, but what's the point of it?
Having an spectacular article about seeing the future or did she just want to shoot herself?
@@arachnid9873 I believe she was going through depression. You can find more information about her, just search ‘Christine Chubbuck’. Really interesting yet quite sad imo.
Holy shit I was watching some horror content and I happened to learn about her today. Searched further and the whole thing is pretty sad indeed.
Linda: Come on, Erick! What're you afraid of?
Manly: DEATH!
LOL
8:53 Hearing Manly saying a cute "moshi moshi" is not something I thought I needed until now

I appreciate what you put out; it really is escapism for me, in a good way.
there can never be a good way with escapism.
@@יוגבמיצנגנדלר it’s not that deep…
@@יוגבמיצנגנדלרThat is (sort of) debatable. Escapism, as in running away from your problems it's definitely not healthy at all and I'm not going to act like that is the correct way to handle your life. But escapism as a moment of respite, a way to get your thoughts together and as a rest can (in my opinion) truly help you. Obviously all should be done on it's fair measure, but I think that there's some kinds of actual positive escapism (but it all depends on your definition of the word in the end).
Living is just escapism from inevitable doom.
No idea what's going on in this thread, but OP, wishing you a good week, hydration, and decent, refreshing sleep.
"I became a shitposter" thats nice
Damn, I was just thinking I needed a new manly video for bedtime. Thanks ol pal.
Probably to generate more news. Sadly, the more horrific the death makes good news for news stations
Bless you man. Remember to take some time for yourself if you need it. Even the Manly Badass Hero (potentially) has a limit.
18:54 I LOVE this part bc I KNOW that if I were playing this, I'd immediately assume someone in my house is playing music/watching TV, or it's one of my noisy neighbors and at MOST I'd think I'm hallucinating or something
It'd be so subtle and unnoticeable to me and I genuinely love that detail bc you don't EXPECT music to be playing somewhere like here and your brain tries to justify that sudden, unexpected sound
This one reminds me of the lobotomy corp music machine, the one that drives people to feed it so it can keep playing.
Man I've been watching him since he had 100k subs and very underrated. I rlly thought that he will be big someday like other streamers. Im proud of him
Oh my god I need 13:48 to be a clip somehow. My sides are GONE after that, it was too perfect
Plots Twist: The person who bought the factory and making it his hunting ground, is the same who owns Channel 7, using the station's equipment to stream darkweb snuff stuff online.
I don’t always comment on UA-cam videos. But when I do it’s to support ManlyBadassHero for posting at 1am to give me his soothing voice over spooky videos to help me fall asleep.
The throwback to 90s Australian television at the start was some pleasantly unexpected nostalgia
00:55 i _love_ when the video game intros are like old horror movies :D!
17:21 when manly said “I can do this” and went ballistic has me on the floor rn😂
Yea, the ending spoils that the news crew was in on it. Gives me a lot of red room and most dangerous game vibes.
Oh my god that why it had those random ads! Also for the stream! What a neat twist
The thumbnail makes Linda look like a combined Amelia Watson and REmake 4 Ashley, and I think that’s cool.
This is amazing! I love to watch your horror videos because they show me new games. Definitely going to play this on my own
I like how Erick chooses to park 7 kilometers away for no reason
Manly suddenly stopping to do something offscreen was like that part in Marble Hornets when Jay says he sees The Operator outside of the building he's in but when he pulls the camera up to show there's nothing out there
Ngl the surface concept immediately reminded me of Michigan: Report From Hell.
Also ngl very surprising reveal at the end, not the best reveal but honestly took me by very big surprise. Especially compared to the previous entries. I kinda had expectations but they were definitely proven wrong.
This game gave me Power drill Massacre vibes. I love these types of games. Thanks for the playthrough, Manly.
Hey, the font used for the main title instantly brought Rebuild 1 and 2 back to my mind! Great games.
For once the camera man isn't invincible. He finally turned his creative mode off, haha.
Aside from getting half-clickbaited since Linda looks like Ame from hololive, this really gives a "true crime" feel. Actually spooky.
well, it is the cover art of the game after all.
Sounds like a Fanfic plot
"Ame goes to investigate a case.. not knowing it will be her LAST."
It seems that I’m not the only one who thought that Linda on the thumbnail somewhat resembles Ame, haha
Ame does tend to die a lot when it comes to stuff made by fans.
@@hendrihendri3939 Ame reading the plot: Why do I always die when featured in stories?
The cover art had so much potential. It should have been a visual novel
that actually scared me. you did good, creator!
"The fuse box broke and was unable to be repaired, however, there's a fuse in the next room you can use to repair it."

Showing your true age, manly.
Netscape is better. Always was.
His true age of several centuries plus one internets. #manlyDeepestLore
"this hole was made for me?" this is something interesting to say

Fun fact: Netscape's web browser was actually called Navigator! But many still call it Netscape (perhaps due to the window title and/or the shortcut name?)
Yeah I think people called it Netscape because it said "netscape" in the desktop icon and in the window itself, giving people absolutely no indication that it wasn't called Netscape.
