Correction as noted by commentors from the preceding video: this update represents version 1.4.8, not 1.5. The 1.5 update will be coming soon, though not right away.
This "kicking out of the corners" is due to how aggressive the Diff Power Ramps are on base setups. Just up the Power Angles a bit and you'll see how they get more tame.
Can you be more specific on the menus etc ? I have a terrible time looking things up in AMS 1 and 2 especially the button assignments, really needs a re look. I even emailed resa and got a reply "it isnt possible" and yet most sims actually allow finding button assignments very easily.

Reiza actually said it's a long term project (so at least 2 or 3 more years of full on development) and that they will prob have converted all cars to new physics in 2 months
I would like to hear your opinion on the other classses, the P1 always has been one of the beter cars imo where indeed it seems just a small update, however on the F1 side of things it really looks like a much bigger improvement. Would love to hear your opinion on those.
Is FFB tied to physics? I took the Formula Jr. out on the Indy road course and I could every ripple from the curbing through my wheel, then I switched to a Brazilian stock car and I wasn't getting those sensations through the wheel. Also, I noticed in the beta build notes that it says you need to reset tuning setups to default to feel the physics updates. Just a note to anyone reading this.
Yes it is largely based on each car’s physical suspension geometry and various forces from that. Tires will also have a big effect on steering feel as tire forces flow through front geometry.
They tune the ffb for each car, They said in the forums that they had tuned the force feedback for the f junior, because it has very thin wheels, so the force feedback was too strong, …
I've been absolutely diggin' the F-USA '23 these past few days, spun a whole load of laps at Long Beach and Laguna Seca, the car feels wicked. I'm really enjoying the Formula Junior but I'm struggling to get any kind of pace out of it, if I race the AI at my usual 110 they absolutely wreck me and I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Probably just need more practice in it, not driven that kind of car a whole lot before so it's a new experience. The classic F1 cars also feel really good with the new physics, there's a bit less of that weird vague rear end on power now, they're much happier to regain grip under load when you spin the rears on corner exit, which is nice. No more of that weird pendulum sliding too! Very enjoyable video Mike, look forwards to the next one!
I am in the midst of it! It was just about done, then I mistakenly deleted my B-roll. So I have to start again, but there shouldn’t be too long to wait
Especially with the GT3 and GTE their seems to b somerhing wrong with the TC. First i have to set preload at around 330 or the cars love to have backend come around on braking and oversteer on corner exit. Even with that, TC set on 1 it still kicks in all the time on corner exit and even between gear changes on straights.
I tested this releasecandidate build and indeed they fixed the issue with weird behaviour in ams2 . I tried Formula Inter and Formula Junior and i can say that yes , it drives like AC . This was the first time i actually enjoyed AMS2 and it felt natural , i felt connected with the car same like in AC .
It's easily the most natural that AMS2 has felt. As someone who's been playing the sim for a long time, I'm absolutely blown away at how much better the updated cars feel. Can't wait for the update to all the cars.
There are still so many basic QoL features absent from AMS2, notably a bunch of PC2 relics… I hope they aren’t done developing it. It feels wholly unfinished (and not just in terms of content). Multiplayer still doesn’t get enough love, and we’ve yet to see a career mode. I love AMS2, it’s one of two sim titles I play on the regular, but it really is rather unpolished.

Are you using a custom FFB file?
This "kicking out of the corners" is due to how aggressive the Diff Power Ramps are on base setups. Just up the Power Angles a bit and you'll see how they get more tame.
For instance, the F-USA exhibits similar behavior and has a 55deg Accel Ramp.
Changing it to 70 makes it much better to come out of the corners.
Yeah I think a lot of the problems people have with “physics” are due to weird default setups in AMS2
Good info, thanks. I wish it were more tame by default. I’m not sure most sim racers would know to adjust this setting

Tried the F junior and the USA 2023 so far...and i must say that Reiza did a wonderful job! Feels like a new game.

Listen to this guy, he’s nice, and it’s correct information. 😊
Another great video so quickly after the last one. You are spoiling us today. I'm sure its a few months till Xmas! Thanks again Mike.
Just what AMS2 needed, thanks for the video!
Have always enjoyed AMS2. To see these improvements is great. Just gets better and better. Cheers Mike love the content.
Reiza actually said it's a long term project (so at least 2 or 3 more years of full on development) and that they will prob have converted all cars to new physics in 2 months
They do intent to bring that tyre update on all cars when 1.5 drops at the end of the month or next month
That time of day looks just stunning on this game engine. Great video Mike. God bless 👍😎🏁
Are you doing these test without the custom FFB file?

I have only tried the F-USA 2023 so far and i think it feels a lot more planted than anything I've driven so far in Ams2

Thanks so much, Dave! Glad you’re enjoying the updates. I need to give the 2023 F-USA another go….
Have you don e a video sharing your Moza settings for AMS 2?

@@SimRacing604 AWESOME! Looking forward to it ^_^
I think they need to rework TC and should make default brake power 100% for all cars.
the anti aliasing in this game lets it down a lot imo visually
The low poly car models too. Compare the complexity of AMS2's FUG2 with AC's RSS FH22/23 and the difference is huge.
@@VVCepheiii Yes I have struggled in a lot of sims with that edge flickering.. Mike ??

1 is the lowest level for TC in AMS2. Try adding some management throttle under braking, will help with the stability of the car under braking.
Thanks Mike,
When are you going to review the rc car that's on the wall?
Lol, I would love to! That’s one of my favourite decorations
What's the next project he referred to a couple of times?
A « yet to be named sim racing title » developed with Straight4, Ian Bell’s new company. They were expected to be working on GTR revival.

I like the other Nissan P1 more
I think you should also set it to default setup again, because the physics have changed,
Or maybe it was placebo
