But now we want to turn the camera over to you.
Enter The Petrolicious Film Competition and show us why you, or the willing subject of your film, have such an attachment to a certain vehicle.
The best film of the month will be aired here on the Petrolicious Channel for the world to see.
Plus the winning filmmaker will receive a package of suitably tasteful automotive related products.

@patf40 What happened? I didn't come across Petrol until after they basically stopped uploading videos, it's unfortunate I primarily watch car stuff and this was far and away my favorite car content, to the point I'd just watch them over again and again.

i used to wait in anticipation for Petrolicious videos each week... would get them on tues in my parts of the world and watch them with my studio monitors to savor the sounds...
to this day my fav automotive channel which stirred up passion and desire in me to chase these cars i dream about. No other channel has captured the essence of petrolicious. I miss your uploads

Petrolicious the best car channel ever
Last year, I sent them a video of why I love my car and they ghosted me. Not even so much as a ‘thanks but no thanks’. Save your filmmaking energy for someone who takes their channel more seriously.

I suppose I could. Here’s a better idea though- why don’t you produce your own content instead of trying to crowd source it from your subscribers. This channel hasn’t posted in a year and, from what I can tell, clearly doesn’t check its email. What’s changed?

Don't post just the winner! Post all of them! What was interesting about the old Petrolicious is that there were all kind of cars, people, roads, languages and countries. No winners or loosers it was just the experience that made us feel connected to the cars and the owners.

I love Petrolicious and their years of great automotive content but I'm disappointed they are holding contests. Video creators, please do not join these contests. Companies should pay fairly for content from creators. Contests are a way to exploit artists for free work. I think most people at companies don't realize the damaging effect on the market and merely believe it's a clever way to incorporate their audience in their brand. But what is ethical is that Petrolicious pay creators for video content. They just announced they were acquired by duPont Registry. Believe me, they can afford it.
If this acquisition means they're coming back, I'm all for it. But I want to see them treat their fans right.
