I had a 63 1600 for a short time. I had my eye on a nice 60 Veloce but it got away. Love these things.

My dear friend, You have a true masterpiece of the Italian Art of building dream sports cars in the 1960s. What you hear in your video is not an engine... it's an opera singer; his sound was in fact known as: "the violin of Arese". Arese was the small city, just outside Milan, where it was built. My compliments and, finally, I always say: "I ❤ Alfa Romeo"!
    Thanks from Sardinia-Italy

Double de-clutching on downshifts. Nice. Also love it's Porsche stablemate. Two greats. Nice that it gets driven on public roads. Bravo.

My first car was a 1964 Giulia Sprint 1600 Normale. I learned a lot about rust repair on it, also the joys of setting up three leading shoe front brakes. That car led to many other Alfas until I'd just had enough with their weirdness and propensity to rust. But they were all fun to drive, that Sprint's gearbox made the car sing. Were I a rich man I'd have an Alfaholics GT, their full-on version. But I'm not, so a 2016 Mazda MX-5 must suffice, at least until spring and my Jaguar F-Type 3.0 manual coupe can once again come out to play.
