In this adventure, I take on the Premužićeva staza, or the Premuzic Trail, said to be one of the most beautiful trails in the Balkans. It's an overnight hike where I got to stay at a cozy mountain hut, experience 40KM+ of EPIC beauty far from the tourist crowds, and test my navigation skills. Oh - and the ending is pretty awesome too 🤭😉

Water supply in that shelter (Rossijevo sklonište) is collected rain water not real underground water, it should be boiled before drinking.

Why would she have to be brave to hike there alone? It's like there's no big elevation and also any natural predators, Croatians don't hike as well so I'm curious what you think she should be afraid of?

Love the food, (always think if people don't like food then they're clearly not hungry enough!). Got to admire googles placing of adverts on this video, Dairy lee (yep reminds me of lots of walks as a kid), Compeed (for blisters - fair enough!) and Dior Sauvage perfume.... yeah probably not as sauvage as the smells after a few days walking :-)! Great way to finish a hike!

I would never travel alone. my imagination drives me into fear and I couldn't enjoy anything. but it would be wonderful for two. I had my best vacation with a friend and my dog - 3 weeks through west and south europe in a converted VW bulli - 27 years ago.

possibly out of concern for her safety being out there alone. Hiking alone is dangerous, especially when you aren't familiar with the trails or if you get injured. Where I live, there have been lots of hikers who head out alone and haven't come home. :( Animals, weather, injuries, running out of food/water have all been issues for people hiking alone. One VERY experienced hiker was hiking alone and died due to the elements on the Appalachian Trail

How is it with wild sleeping in Croatia? You encountered situation when hut was fully occupied already but you managed to get the storage room for sleeping. How about hanging my self in hammock next to the hut, is it possible there? thanks

If you’re using that sat phone as something to help you in an emergency it’s soo much better to attach it to the outside of your pack were you can easily grab it. Getting a small carabiner and putting it on one of the straps is a great way to make sure you can unclip it to take it with you if ever you walk away from your pack (you can always hurt yourself going off trail to pee/get water from a creek or even walking around camp).
If the worst does happen you don’t want to have to spend excess time/energy digging to the bottom of your pack and it’s just really stressed me out seeing that ♥️

Wouldn't something like a spot device or an epirb-like-thing be better for hikers? Cheaper, lighter, same kind of functionality if you're in an emergency.
Clip it to you belt so you have it on you even if you're seperated from your pack.
Am I showing my age (51) cos I was thinking a good old fashioned whistle could be handy.lol
@@sparsh415 I always have a wissle with me. Plus a walky talky and my husband knows on wat chanel I will have it open on the hour if something is wrong. My location is more or less known, enough for the walky talky reach. No budget for the big stuff
@@sparsh415 If its a popular city to city greenway - yes. Mountain trails...not so much - the whistle echoes between rock walls making it hard to pin-point
One thing I like about your vlog is you smile genuinely all the time, your eyes sparkle, the hair even messy it doesn't look ugly, and most importantly, you speak with wisdom, the words are poetic, grammarly beautiful. We know your travel is also difficult but you make it seems easy and encouraging to do that too.

I was also looking at her shoes in the end and they don't look like real hiking shoes. Soft sole shoes will soon start causing pain as you feel every rock and uneven surface you walk on. I don't know how she does it.

@@MrSupernova111 Today's Trekking Shoes have a much more substantial sole than soft sole 'tennis shoes' but they are light weight when you don't need a lot of ankle support like on well established trails. There at the end not so much. Looks can be deceiving.

I laughed when you talked about filming yourself hiking. The number of times I've walked towards people then suddenly turn around to go get my camera... and they look at me like I'm crazy 😆

Why Europeans are so disciplined, I always get amazed by their qualities. The hut in 8:53 is so clean. I can't imagine what will be happen to a hut like that in my country. Hats off Europeans
