- I honestly hadn’t expected this experience to be so nerve-wracking but apparently the video is here just in time for Halloween 😂 This video is sponsored. Huge thank you to @djiglobal for partnering up with me on this video and getting me to test out the new #DJIPocket2 gimbal camera. I genuinely love the Pocket 2 for how light and portable it is, the fantastic stabilisation (thanks to a 3-axis mechanical gimbal), and HDR video quality, including those dreamy motion lapses 😍

To think this was only 2 years ago and you were scared to camp alone, and now look at you and all of your wild adventures!!
I admire your courage in all that you do and I love seeing you appreciate all of the simple things as well 😊
I am 61 years old I have been a tent camper for my whole life. As long as you keep your food in a safe manner the animals usually leave you alone. Enjoy the sounds of nature in the night. I am not afraid of the animals what scares me is the crazy human in the world.
Wow
Exactly! Animals leave you alone. People don’t. The more people the more crime. I’m always going up to the Sierras with a friend. That’s where we spend most of our time.
how do you keep food in a safe manner?
@@ioanasilviag you hang your food in a tree away from your camp.
Just want to learn from your experiences. Have you ever camped in a tropical forest? If so is it more dangerous?
I got lost in the woods for 2 days in the winter (literally Christmas Day is when I got lost) when I was a kid. Absolutely terrifying! I went out for a hike on my family’s land and was following a trail, or so I thought. Apparently the trail I was supposed to be following overgrew so it looked like I was still on the right path but I definitely wasn’t. I remember walking and walking (i know you’re supposed to stay put when you get lost but it was WAY too cold and I was not dressed for it) and I came across another path. It had a big frozen puddle so I figured if I just followed that path I’d eventually make my way out. 2 hours of walking and I ended up back at the same puddle. I knew I was screwed when that happened. They had the military looking for me 😳 I’m just thankful I was found. I still live in the woods and am surrounded by forests and I love it. I know a lot more now about how to survive than I did when I was a kid! (Especially because I know how easy it is to get lost by complete accident even on land you know and grew up on!)
What an experience you had!! I love forests but thy can get so scary
oaw
Same thing happened to me, I got lost in the forest in Canada, it was 1 celcius and we were going in circles like 3x, luckily we found a firepit and made a fire throughout the night, it was pitch black in this forest u couldn't see your hands in front of you, but it was a memorable adventure!!!!
I'm so glad that you choosed Romania for your adventures this year. Have nice trips here in Romania, you are such a kind person. You do a big favor to our country! The world belongs to the braves!
The braveS is a sports team, lol!
which favor she done to your country?
Sometimes a wild imagination in the woods is not good when you’re alone.
One of the best things anyone can do before camping in a forest is to familiarize themselves with the sounds of local animals (you can find lots of videos on UA-cam). Here in the UK we have deer that bark and roar or vixen (female fox) that make a sound like a woman screaming as if being attacked. If you are not familiar with such sounds it can be scary - but once you sleep alone a few times you soon get used to all those sounds and more. It is simply the darkness that plays tricks with our minds - as the forest at night is still the same forest we see in the day - except for wildlife that likes to come out at night.
I would add to this that it would have been a lot different had she been hiking most of the day that would have rendered tired enough not to think of those noises rather than just driving to the forest.
@@AidaJof that's right
@@melissaclobo I liked some of this girl's travels into some very exotic locations, but she never answers any questions, so I ended up unsubscribing from her channel
@@AidaJof oh yes she makes good videos of some really good location. Mayb she has too manny comments to check and must have missed out your comment
@@melissaclobo Not just mine, she does not answer any questions
Hats to Mike walking alone in a dark forest 10:42
That's honestly probably scarier than sleeping in a tent, because you could stumble upon a wild animal without knowing it, instead of the animal having to come to you.
“You enter the forest
at the darkest point,
where there is no path.
Where there is a way or path,
it is someone else's path.
You are not on your own path.
If you follow someone else's way,
you are not going to realize
your potential.”
― Joseph Campbell, The Hero's Journey
You are absolutely right.
I had a similar experience last year when I decided to spend the night at my family's old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, just me, a kitten, the woods and the moon.
At the beginning of the night, as the breeze started, I was so confused because the wind made so many strange sounds, I heard sounds like voices or animals growling, I think the mind tries to make sense of every thing, every little strange situation appears to threaten you. So I was afraid.
But then, the moon got higher as I tried to meditate on the balcony and I decided to walk into the night, as the moonlight illuminated the hills. The kitten followed me the whole way. Suddenly I was comfortable, even with different sounds and dense vegetation, I even took a bath in the nearby lake ...
I think there's a point in which you become part of the forest, so it cannot hurt you, and you understand that there is no evil but the mind.
Wow your experience sound so nice
I've noticed several serious mistakes that are often dangerous and inconvenient. First is cooking foods that are very odorous. Cooking food like garlic, onions etc can attract animals from several kilometres away, and those odors often linger on oneself and clothing for hours. Pre-cooking them then packing them in plastic bags to reheat later is much safer. Also two fires were needed. One to cook and one for light and heat. A miniature stove would likely weigh less than the garlic press and other likely things. Thus collecting wood for cooking in daylight is senseless. There is very few things to be frightend about in a forest other than ones naivety or carelessness. I've been camping safely alone in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and it's foothills for more than 40 years.
I'm not ridiculing you. I intend it to be constructive criticism that may help you to enjoy being in the wilderness more safely.
Do you store your food away from the place you sleep? How do stay safe from bears? I have been hiking and want to progress to camping.
@@ashmax28 I store my food and every thing else that has the slightest scent inside sealed containers in my vehicle. When I don't have a vehicle, I store those things in scent resistance bags or containers stashed at least 50 yards from where I sleep.
@@ashmax28 you don't have to do all that your food is fine with you most critters will leave you alone and you will be fine I like my 357 never had to youse it if in Alaska be a little more care full with food
You aren't scared of bears wrecking you in the night then? 🤔👀
I feel your fears. I always never sleep when camping in the woods due to the noises...and I wouldn’t go alone. Well done 👍🏻
The Pacific Crest Trail sounds like your kinda challenge. The main thing I would have done differently was to cook my food farther away from my tent. Hikers often stop and cook before entering camp and then store their food at least 50 ft from their tent. It was good that your friend took the dinner dishes with him. Conquering our fears builds character and resilience. I love that you face them head on.
The sound design was just bomb. Chills. Literal chills.
Ur saying absolutely right.
Meanwhile, there was another vlogger camping nearby, petrified of all the noises you were making!!
I cant even count the amount of time thats actually happened while exploring abandoned buildings.
Explorers spooking each others off to ridiculous degrees without knowing about each others is kinda hillarious.
@@_timetravels4528 That's like something from a cartoon.
Yeah
😅😅😅
I can imagine some forest animals all scared up in a tree thinking "what's making all those weird sounds?!?!"
You survived! I’m so glad 😅
Haha happy to help you be even more adventurous. Awesome video 💪🏻
Are you from Minnesota just curious. If i didn't know that you were american your "about's" would tell me you were canadian.
Hammock and tarp one of the best in that type of camping mikmik hehehe
Have you ever seen a tv show called `Survivors ` from 1975 ? it`s scary how much it relates and mirrors events in 2020.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivors_%281975_TV_series%29
@@atib1980 yea fiction, but the transmission delivery by plane, the social distancing, food(limited stocks), becoming self surfactant(alt income), over crowded hospitals, in that shows time line becoming inventers... it`s not to far from todays realty... it wouldn't take much to put us in that world... :(:(:(
Why you left her alone fearless 😃
Camping alone all by yourself is indeed a challenge & definitely a scary nite. Growing up I was much alone much of the time during summer breaks from school and there are things I experienced but always brushed them off as whatever. These days I seemed to be more aware of what happens and I dare not to find myself alone but be where I'm safe. For you girl more power to you just don't take a risk when your senses tells you otherwise. Have awesome travels & May Almighty God keepo you safe. 🙏🏻💝💖🏕🏜🏝⛼
I go camping by myself all the time, I love it
You deserve so much more recognition, your videos are amazing and always give a sense of satisfaction.
Wow! Eva i am never so brave to sleep alone!!you are great and reall6 very brave!!😯
I am to
yes so brave! I only slept once alone in the woods. It was in Florida and I was traveling on foot with nothing around. Was so tired i laid down in His peace and slept. Later I found out there is brown recluse spiders there which when they bite you your flesh comes off. Glad I have Jesus forgiveness friendship and fellowship. It is not always what we hear that can hurt us, So listen to Him.
You are unbelievably brave and it’s so inspiring! I can’t wait to grow up to be just as brave and fearless.
Wow, so adventurous, wanna have this crazy adventure too someday, loads of love from Pakistan
Don't ..she's not pakistani girl..
oh my,was it a halloween special vlog, cant imagine spending the night alone in the forest, indeed, the world belongs to the brave like you eva.😊
The sound and audiodesign on this video is amazing!
This is an adventure many of us can do at this moment, thanks for the inspiration. I am inspired to test our this myself too. 😊
She reminds me Lara Croft from Rise of the Tomb Raider. Even her voice too!
Forest is magical, thank you Eva!
My first solo night in the Rockies was nerve wracking! I was hiking in off season so the only person I saw that day was going the other way. Saw bear scat and prints all day. I went to sleep as soon as it was dark. When I woke in the middle of the night it was so dark my flashlight beam was all that I could see it felt like looking out of a hood. Then I walked into the nearby meadow and looked up at a clear mountain night sky and saw the milky way in all its glory, exponentially brighter than I had ever seen it before. Most scary and most amazing moment of my life.
A very nice video, congratulations! Maybe you should be a little careful with the mushrooms found in the forest, especially in Romania. Many of them seem edible, but many Romanians became intoxicated and died. in recent years it is becoming more common. Take care of yourself and all the Romanian love.❤🇹🇩
💕
She took the ones easy to determine. Those are alright. Nevertheless, be careful if you’re not experienced.
Yes, take care. Sometimes edible mushrooms can be cross contaminated from poisonous mushrooms
There's also a significant danger of getting taken out by sheep dogs, bears or wolves when you camp alone in Romania in a ground tent.
Camping is exciting, adapting to night excitement, lots of learning and character building there. Yes, right, so small we are in the forest.
Sometimes I do pitch my tent in a hotel room, hee hee. At least I am still in the tent, in the room. That is what really counts. The spirit lives on.
I have watched your videos. You have taught the many to come out of their comfort zones to to face the challenges of their life, muster courage and do something in life.Love you ma'am. Stay blessed and keep smiling.
We are happy to support you in doing what you love. Fantastic insights.

I wish I am with her to take care of her and support her realize all her wildest dreams and join her up to the riskiest adventures that she maybe planning to embark with further and farther- Admirer from the Philippines
Woah this actually made me wanna go camping in the forest but I'm terrified to just get a glass of water at night😔😂
Lol me too
try camping in the Canadian outdoors, you have to worry about bears and cougars!!! hahahha I always prefer wide open spaces to forests, way too many noises in the bush, not much sleep happens LOL
If I'm not mistaken that's a Romanian forest. Simple search on Google would show you there's the biggest population of black bears and wolves in Europe roaming around those Carpathian Mountains, not to mention wild boars, lynxes, deers and so on. So give this girl a round of applause, she got balls.
ua-cam.com/channels/NQGQbzRwvCgKHJ32VwLSjw.html
@@gnbproduction1284 If it is a Romanian forest, I wouldn't worry too much. A simple search on google would show you that there aren't any BLACK bears in Romania, only brown bears. Which are not so aggresive unless you are asking for it or you encounter a mamma bear or you smell like a steak or you simply have bad luck. Wolves, again, not so many. Wild boars, not aggresive , unless there's a female with the little ones and she feels threatened.Lynxes: you deserve a prize if you get to see one. They are very shy. The fauna has reduced a lot thanks to illegal logging and german/austrian companies which are making a big profit out of it. The Homo sapiens species is far more dangerous than any animal out there.
Camping in the United states of America nowadays is sissified. Imagine what it was 200 years ago. Big Mountain lions that could be roaming the area. Grey wolves. Bears. Sheesh. It is sad that they are gone though. I’m glad canada is able to have kept some of the North American staples and pristine forests from becoming extinct
Hello rosie i am subcriber from indonesian.👏👏👏
Good to see you had such a good experience on your first alone wildcamp Eva. I’ve been doing it for quite a while now and I’m actually going to night again for the first time since a almost a month 😁
Your camping adventure reminds me of our college days when we used to go out on such adventures.
I just saw my man Mike of the Fighter boys wo. I subscribed while watching your vlog riding across Poland -so inspiring

Eva: Honestly sometimes I don't know why I come up with these challenges.
Says the girl who went solo horse-riding in Mongolia, solo cycling across Poland.
Looking forward to your next solo camping on the moon!
True adventure. You did it again Eva.👏
You do it for the memories. You get better stories to tell after a camping trip than a night in a motel room. I’m stuck taking care of my elderly mother and I’d love to go out camping. She drives me crazy sometimes!
@Andrea-Bianca S. I know that, but seeing her camping alone makes me envious. I just need a vacation from the dull routine that I'm in right now.

God is everywhere , you're not alone at all .
Omg, you are so brave! I once tried to watch the falling stars at an open space in the woods that are literally my so called backyard, so close to home. I stepped outside in the dark and went mental. I kept scaring myself. I’m lost, I should use my torch. Oh no, don’t use the torch, people can see me. Well, if I don’t use it, nobody sees me. But if they catch me, I’ll be lost. But if I don’t use my torch, I’m also lost. But if I just wait here for daylight, I’ll be just fine, but, but, but. Short story shorter, I was back inside my apartment within 20 minutes 🤣🤣🤣
How brave are you! I just discovered your channel and I can't stop watching you ❤️❤️

Hi Eva, Just started following your channel .Great videos, nice delivery of the content, good story line and of course, your charming personlity makes it so much pleasure to watch.
Always luv your journey. When you are alone in that forest, you fear for your self. Fear originates from various sources. When we are young, we fear old age. When we are full of vigour and beauty, we fear debility and loss of our youthful looks. When we are healthy, we fear disease and suffering. When we enjoy a good reputation, we fear ignominy. When we face family problems, we fear a break-up among siblings or with spouse or children. We fear the loss of our loved ones. We fear pain- emotional as well as physical. And finally, we fear not having enough to be self reliant and losing our dignity because we have to depend upon others for our needs. All these fears are destructive. Life takes its own course and there is little you can do to predict coming events. The only way you can handle the future is to take care of the present. Fear is a negative quality, which generates insecurity and therefore must be actively addressed whenever it eclipse your mind. Work hard to dispel all your fears and make everyone feel secure in your company.
You are crazy my dear.
You are such a brave woman!!!The first night I slept alone in the forest was frightening. When you overcome the first fears ,then it's amazing to sleep in the nature, wonderfull experience.
