Very helpful! Thank God for YT because this camera didn’t come with any type of manual of what these buttons are for 😂
Right! Such a useless manual ugh
I’m a beginner and this is very helpful! :)

Thank you so much. I'm buying this to take my birthday pictures in November 😅
Elizabeth! You're gonna love this camera! It has totally changed my opinion on what small point and shoot cameras can do!
Thanks... helpful.
The thing is how do I switch to photo mode? I can only take videos. How to take pictures!?
great tutorial
Nice camera sir. This is very good in vlogging specialy for beginners
Definitely! Also for seasoned professionals who don't want to lug around a heavy camera! Thanks, Kris!
Do you have a video setting for this camera ?
Can you adjust bracket settings for hdr merge? I can’t adjust it past .3
I just bought this camera and I wanted to know where I can check to see how much storage I have on my sd card. My other cameras it shows on the display but not this new one. Help?
How do you put it in photo mode
I press the mode button and that screen never comes up, did you leave something out?
I never click on video so fast, like I did this one. Thanks for this video
Hey Beatrice thank you so much! Have a nice day
@@markfridayhow do you change the m.m mine is staying on -2.0
Hello, I take pictures in M mode, or auto mode and my Sony zv1 softens the skin! How to clean? The soft skin effect is disabled, but the photos come out with skin smoothing
8:17 you should tell peolple to pressue downon the menu scroll wheel to go from shutterpeed to exposure etc.
very helpful indeed. Thanks. Q. how o set the aperture to 0.0?? help
Hey, David! So apertures vary from lens to lens. The Sony ZV1 can only go up to f 1.8 on the widest zoom range, The moment you zoom in the will go into f2 to f 2.8. So if you want to use it at F1.8, try to use it at its widest focal length in other words do not zoom in
Hi I'm trying to figure out if this camera has touch shutter I would like to just touch the screen to take the picture does this have it? Updated to the latest 2.01 firmware.
Thanks in advance.
Hey, John! The ZV-1 has this feature. You have to enable it in the menu!
@@markfriday thanks I've been trying to find it in the menu can't seem to find it at all maybe I have to reset the camera or something but thank you I'll continue looking
Hey! Do you know how to preview the exposure when taking photos? I sometimes try to take pics that seem overexposed but when I actually take the picture it’s super underexposed. I can’t figure out how to change settings for that.
Same
Thanks

Hi I took pictures with the ‘s’ exposure instead of manual but it looks normal on the camera but once I transferred it to my phone through a cable all the pictures came out being grey idk how , can you please help? 🥺 I have to upload them by Monday
Did you ever find out the answer to this??
thx mate.
but how can i actually shoot the foto? 🙂
i just know how to "rec".
greetings, felix
Hey, Felix! You have to make sure you are in photo mode and not in video mode. If you are in video mode, if you hit the shutter button, it's going to start recording!
Nd isnt only for video
Yes, absolutely. You can also use it to compensate for the extra brightness that you'll get if you shoot wide open at f 1.8. Thanks for bringing this up.
how do i take inverted off of the sony zv-1
Hi! You mean portrait mode?
@@markfriday yes
Mine is still only raining videos and not pictures ;( how do I fix that
If your camera is only taking videos, you probably need to set it to one of the camera modes. Click the mode button on top and use/spin the wheel on the back of the camera to scroll through the different modes. Line up the one you want with the white - (dash) just to the right of the icons. If you are just trying to use automatic settings for pictures, note there are two "Intelligent Auto" modes. One has a white icon that looks sort of like a film strip next to an "i" and the other is a green icon of a camera next to an "i" That green one is the mode you want to set if you want to take photos in fully-automatic mode.
So this camera can snap a photo?
Yes, it can!
ah, you name it PHOTO-Settings, but you always talk about Film settings.... that is confusing.
