- In this video we'll take a look at what got me into Hot Toys and what my display first looked like and how it evolved to what it is now. I'll discuss things I've learned, how I've changed as a collector and where I want to go in the future!

I had the benefit of watching a few collectors before I decided to jump into 1/6. I started collecting Mandalorian helmets and learned of Detolfs through channels like yours. I soon moved the helmets out, got my first 4 Hot Toys in there, and man my life was completely derailed at that point lol.
But I had time to weigh the decision between more Detolfs and Moducases...however it wasn't until I saw the ridiculous rise in Detolf costs that I decided that I was just gonna go ahead and spend the money on something better that took up less space. I should have my moducases in Sep/Oct...17/18 months into my 1/6 journey. Of course...I wasn't planning on already having 20+ figures and a Batmobile by then...lol I thought I was future-proofing. Now I have about 20 more figures on the way, two more Batmobiles and the Batwing...lol oh boy.

I've been collecting sixth scale figures for a long time, at least since 2003-2005. I was collecting Modern Military exclusively, and interestingly enough, Hot Toys used to make military figures before they went all in on pop culture stuff. I told myself that the DX07 Bespin Luke was going to be my only non-military figure. Famous last words, considering I just did my last payment on the new Bespin Luke this morning.
I think that display under the TV looks great, it'd be fun to rotate some stuff in there if you had a specific movie theme going on. After the movie starts, I'd probably turn the display lights off. Me on the other hand, all of my toys will remain in my sight, in my room. If anyone visits me, they won't necessarily know that I have loads of Hot Toys displayed in very premium cases...unless I bring them into the room they're displayed in.
You fell down the rabbit hole haha! I did like my figures in a separate room for the fact that not everyone needs to know what I have but I still like this better as it allows me to enjoy them more. Thanks for watching!!

Im into vehicles as much as anything so I bought a moducase 6 series for starters. Well, they are just too small for real display of vehicles. Can't get that DeLorean in hover mode. So it's either DF or hand built display and it will probably be the hand built. Room is needed!
That is also my biggest knock on sixth series cases. Just a bit too small for vehicles.
My display is all about the cabinets that I have from deseased estate grandmother corner cabinet that once was a china display to mega jewellery display cabinet that I have all my 1966 Batman stuff..yours is very uniform...that's ok but things are going to get crazy in the future for you ...wait and see!!! Catch Ya!!!✌️

That's the thing with this hobby no matter what collectors room you have you can't always say it's going to be a permanent fix because the name of the game is more space and unless we live in a gigantic Mansion we're always going to be getting rid of certain things to put more shows here and Moore shows their to get more figures
