Since we don't have an Ikea near here (takes almost 2 hours to drive there), I didn't even think to look for display cabinets there. Went on the website and see lots of things I could use when I finally get a space to display my collectibles. The local stores are very expensive, so would be worth it to take a day and go to Ikea. Thanks for this video! Great ideas!

Hey, I’m assuming you bought extra connectors. Because The two that I bought did not have enough connectors in order to connect my 4 strips on that same cabinet

Thank you for showing me a budget cabinet build, didn't even know it would be this cheap to build it. I was thinking of packing up all my figures since I was getting tired of dusting them.
Finally got my first Detolf display, went to Home Depot to get these lights. Buyer beware you can not get the color changing ones! They come in a pack of 4) 12” strips just like the standard ones. ( I bought them for the ‘dim’ function ) They only have two large connector wires and one small 3” connector making it impossible to hook your lights up on each shelf like everyone does. Returning them tomorrow, hopefully the standard ones work better!

Great video and set-up. Recording in public is awkward. It felt awkward filming at the comic con I went to.
positive they definitely hold up good..as of now i got an ikea Detolf filled with gundam model kits standing on a mainstay(cheap walmart brand) nightsand flipped sideways for the last 2 months and its holding good hahahaha..jst waiting for my local ikea to reopen and do the same as in this vid XD
Yeah i bought a tv stand from Ikea called "BYAS" and added 3 Detolf's on top. Its been 5 months and it still holds up strong, I highly recommend the purchase. Raising the Detolf's on a stand & adding LED"s makes an amazing difference. You definitely wont regret it.
That shelf in the wall is a must! R.I.P my wallet when I go to my nearest ikea i'm also getting me another detolf they are great nice displays btw I subbed.

I have the same display case. same shelf, same monitors, and some of the same figures - seems doable.... but I don't have that many figures, more like 1/3 of yours plus I have some coming soon

I have a question with regards to the strip tape lights how long is the cord like the runoff that actually goes to the adapter to be plugged not the spacing between shelves I'm trying to figure out what length of power I need to buy to have everything reach. Jedha I need your help! I bought the commercial LED lights from Home Depot like in this video and I have 4 ikea detolfs. The connections that came with my lights are 2 pretty long ones and a really really short one. So I’m not able to get all 4 strips on all 4 shelves. I don’t know what to do

You should check out tresco lighting.They are a little expensive but there stuff is nice and a lot of it is just plug in.

Storm King black foam weather proofing strip rolls. Cuts the dust buildup bigtime.

I am pretty sure this unsupported mosjo won't be able to hold two fully loaded glass detolfs for the long term. The concequences will be catastrophic.

The cubes from Ikea also work for elevating the Detolfs off the floor. They work well if you only have a single Detolf.
