She was the greatest and not an ounce of egotism.....just pure professionalism and humility! She left us a legacy of movies and TV shows that will hold as beacons of achievement forever!
The greatest sound film actress of the 20th century, Over half a century of impressive performances. From Baby Face to The Lady Eve to Double Indemnity to The Thorn Birds, riveting.
an argument could be made that she was the greatest screen actor of the Golden Age of Hollywood , her range , and what she could do with what she had is amazing ! ' THE BITTER TEA OF GENERAL YEN ' , ' SO BIG ' , ' STELLA DALLA ' , ' THE LADY EVE ' , ' BALL OF FIRE ' , ' LADY OF BURLESQUE ' , ' UNION PACIFIC ' , ' REMEMBER THE NIGHT ' , ' CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT ' , ' SORRY WRONG NUMBER ' , ' THE FURIES ' , JUST TO NAME A FEW OF THE MASTERPIECES SHE STARRED IN - THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER !
She was class personified intelligent gracious lovely ...and when bill holden said what he did about her at the Oscars it was very possibly the greatest tribute to the lady ever
My birth mother looks a lot like Barbara Stanwyck when in her teens through 33. Sadly she died in a car accident, so I never got to meet her. I have only stories and pictures from those early years, as she was born 1931, died 1965. When I watch Barbara Stanwyck I think about what might have been for my mother, an independent, strong and beautiful woman, I was told.
She aged so well. No insane plastic surgeries. She always looked like herself. Even in her 80s, one quick glance and she was unmistakably Barbara Stanwick.
I first saw Barbara in a late night showing of Ball of Fire and she owned me! Even watched Big Valley because of her. Great lady and fantastic actress!
Miss Stanwyck could act successfully in any role in comedy or a drama, simply because she applied her self successfully by knowing her lines, showing up on time, while enjoying herself everyday while receiving respect & admiration from all!....
This was a finely done tribute to Ms. Stanwyck. She had such a rough start in life but through sheer grit and determination succeeded in her craft and as a human being. Still so much of her work I have yet to see.
She was legendary and from what I understand one of the most genuine and nicest stars ever. She treated everyone so kindly - even film crew and extras.
My favorite movie a Barbara Stanwyck. Is double indemnity. Sorry wrong number was another amazing movie. I recently went to Carson City Nevada. I saw the train that she used in Union Pacific. I have yet to see that movie. I will one day.
Richard Chamberlain said of her in an interview that during the Thorn Birds taping, she’d show up earlier than she needed and have coffee with the crew.
Supposedly the movie 'A Star is Born' is based on her first marriage to comedian Frank Fay. Apperently nobody liked Frank Fay, and as her career took off his went down. I don't think he took it well.
@@anapaulapontes7945 I adored her but she was a bitter woman who did not forgive people that offended her. She was a bad mother. I know that she was not good looking but I still found her appealing.
Every body cant be pretty ! She looks like her mother, she has her father's nose, she cant help that !!!! Her personal life has nothing to do with her Fans! We like what she does on screen! To me, Barbara looked best with her hair down, when given a good hair style, it want there for keeps !
EVERY BODY LOVES PRETTY AND BEAUTIFUL !!! UGLY HAS A RIGHT TO SHINE TOO !!!! THE HEAVENLY FATHER MADE BOTH, BEAUTY DIES WITH AGE ANY WAY, BEAUTY AINT ALL. THAT !!!!
@@lisaaugustin5400 Barbra Stanwyck later in life gave credit to God for her success in life. So did Lana Turner but Stanwyck never forgave her for flirting with her husband. Tapped so many levels of almost anyone's existence -- BEST female actress, EVER!

She was the greatest of all time.

She was class all the way. She rose from humble origins to become a Hollywood legend.
Always found her "tough" side refreshingly real. Joel McCrea once said of her: "She's got more guts than most men" & I believe that
At her best, she was really peerless!
The realest, greatest of all time. God, I wish I could have spoken with her.
One of my favorvite actresses. A very great talent. Loved her in "BigValley".
As did I
"Goodbye Baby"... in our hearts forever.

A female Ben Cartwright in the Big Valley. A very professional talent & quintessential actress over-all......
She was legendary and from what I understand one of the most genuine and nicest stars ever. She treated everyone so kindly - even film crew and extras.
All an actor owes us is a great performance, but it is so nice to know she was also an outstanding human being.
One of my favourites greats❤
And known to be a kind, generous person. Not bad. RIP ❤️

A great actress
In the top 5 as being the greatest actress of all time Period!!!!!
Terrific actress. She was able to grab attention just by her charisma on screen. Whatever “it” was she had it.
Her heart was broken by Robert Taylor; maybe she never recovered from that personally but she went on to be a success anyway.
The Thorn Birds ...
I loved her in the movie, Union Pacific.
"She will be genuinely missed." That closing line says it all.
Richard Chamberlain said of her in an interview that during the Thorn Birds taping, she’d show up earlier than she needed and have coffee with the crew.
Love Missy!!!!

The only difference is that in "A Star Is Born", the husband dies. Barbara ended up divorcing him.
Remembering Barbara Stanwyck on the 34th anniversary of her passing
Anyone know the film clips shown in the video?
She was so authentic, pretty, sexy, funny!!!
Pretty?
In my opinion she was a great actress, but she wasn't pretty...
