    The stainless-steel bits on the Floyd and the nut are genius, and the double locking Floyd via the Gotohs is another wonderful addition. A new contender for my next guitar has entered the fray lol...

    So at this price point to not have a schaller or gotoh made floyd system and to not have stainless steel frets..... Have they gone Gibson? They went for nickel frets because that's CHEAPER TO MAKE. Tools last longer and it's more malleable. Actually ridiculous at this pricepoint of 2.5K per guitar.

      Agreed. For that price, I want the best of everything on it.

      The 1500 Floyd is the same metal, same design and actually has some stainless steel parts. Made in South Korea. Big woop.

      @@Brent-Nelson68 yeah, that's all true, but if people dish out a certain amount of money they have the right to have certain expectations.

      @@RJW14 you only have that right if you dish out the money without given the specs. If you don’t like the specs, don’t buy it. There are a lot of guitars out there with similar specs for less money. None that I can think of off the top of my head that are made in the USA. A Gibson USA production Plain Top Les Paul Standard sells new for $100.00 less.

    nickel frets give warmer sound comparing to stainless steel?! Isnt that the lamest excuse 😅

    I just read a quote by Alyssa Day who is "one of the showcase endorsees who will be using the SL3". She said about the new guitar that "We have jumbo stainless steel frets - that's a must.". I guess she's wrong about the SL3 having SS, but she's right that it's a must. I can't bring myself to buy a guitar without SS frets in 2022. I'd otherwise absolutely be ordering one today. Shame.

    • @mwbrada
      @mwbrada Рік тому +1

      But it's not a must. And clearly FMIC and many other top tier guitar manufacturers see it the same. If this line does well it's likely they will open up the options available. I just don't get what younger players don't understand about who this release was targeted towards.

    • @SocialMediaMustDie
      @SocialMediaMustDie Рік тому +2

      @@mwbrada It is a bit awkward that one of their endorsees for the product did call it a must, though. Also - FMIC does indeed now use SS on their "Ultra Luxe" line of guitars, which are in a similar price range.

    • @mwbrada
      @mwbrada Рік тому +1

      @@SocialMediaMustDie 'a bit awkward' is the nicest way to say it. I'm also surprised an endorsee doesn't address the obvious tonal differences between nickel vs SS.

    Can't believe it doesn't have an original floy rose.
    Nickel frets in 2022 is indeed a cheap shot and no binding... It is also kind of disappointing that it comes with a hard soft case rather than an actual nice hard case.
    Beautiful guitar, lovely the mother of pearl inlays, but it just feels that they are ripping off their customers.
