To cut to the chase, here are the 3 things a new potential rocc slave needs to consider: 1) The Sanity to Orundum ratio (farming 1-7) is about 1:1.03, or 240 OR a day, 300 with monthly card. Half a pull a day. Easy maffs. Sobering, yes, but simple. 2) Your base should already be able to generate at least 50k LMD entirely on its own. btw you can use drones to get shards quickly, 20 drones = 1 shards, if you have enough material you can store the shards little by little even when there's an event. change 1 factory (gold or exp) to shard production, set to ~10 max production (if you have max 200 drones ready), skip the entire thing and return the factory to normal production
You could, but that's not really the problem. The problem is that you'll run out of Rocks faster. Or for Doktahs who have already trained up all their operators and are just sitting on mountains of reserve materials waiting for new faces to power up.
It's not efficient by any means, but what's kept me afloat in terms of balancing LMD and rocks is stockpiling a few shards (20 or so) and then producing about 10~12 daily. After that, I'd solely use drones to create orundum (40 drones per order) and swap back to gold when you're out. It should be noted that for less than 2 weeks of farming you can get a 6* potential from the red cert store and those are going to be refreshing with different classes in the future. my only defense for farming orundums is this. I am not financially stable enough to pay for pulls when i need to, and at the same time i can't resist not pulling for limiteds, regardless of their performance.
really cool breakdown of this topic, having always heard that it's not really worth it in a general sense, getting a more clear picture of the pros and cons is pretty helpful. thanks for the vid!
What I usually do is farm rocks on dead weeks or on a rerun event, when theres rerun event I usually blow out all my sanity plus abit of originite to get all the rewards for the rerun within a day or two, then I farm as much rocks as I can within the next couple of weeks while the rerun event is running and convert my base rotation once a new event starts to start farming originium. Not as ideal like what other people does but works for me since I only usually play once a day.
For someone that literally just reached end game and just started trying to figure out how to get more orundum, this video was really informative! Thank you!
Thats why I only recommend this to veterans. If you have a roster with high level ops and half of them E2 lv.90 and you've got nothing else to do then go for it. I'd recommend 3-3-3 base setup tho, its most chill for orundum farming , although you get no exp during farming rocks switch it to exp during events
Great video, well-explained, provided pros and cons so people can decide on their own. Initially I farmed orundum a year after release, but I stopped because of these reasons: 1. It drains the life out of my devices (phone and laptop). 2. Running out of LMD and sanity is a chore, and switching base constructions is a pain. 3. Farmed orundum has atrocious luck during pulls, especially on limited banners. I realized farming IRL is much more satisfying and rewarding. So I switched from being a filthy casual to be a fish/dolphin, only buying the monthly for the everyday extra sanity and the occasional monthly headhunting pack if I liked particular skins. Orundum that I naturally earn from dailies are luckier, I usually get the limited op or 6* in around 30-40 pulls.I am currently only missing two operators, Pallas and Mountain, and I'm pretty confident they'll come home when I try to pull for other operators.
I have most Blue-class and lower class recources in number of 100+ so I got no need to farm other recources therefore, farming Orirock instead. And I also have my way to farm it wihtout losing MY sanity in it process. My base is 4 factory - 2 Trading posts 1 Factory producing Gold + 1 Originium Shard Factory + 2 EXP Factory. 1 Trading post for Orundum + 1 Gold Trading post Here the catch. I switch out Operator producing Originium Shard one day and go back to producing gold and swtich it back every 1 day. So it "Origium Shard Producing Day" and then it "Gold Producing Day" swaping each times. Trading post also changes according to the Factory Productions. Here are the Production Stats - Gold Producing Day - 70 (more or less) Gold 56,000 LMD Gold Sales 0 Orundum - Originuim Shard Producing Day - 40 (more or less) Gold 30,000 LMD Gold Sales 300 Orundum - Steady 31 EXP Cards per days at all time - (All of this stats are "Drone Boost" according to the need of the base. Either boost of Originium Shards or Gold or Sale Orders. Drone recharge normally.) Note - If I don't switch Production days. It will deplete either Gold or Originium Shards + I only have one set of Originium Shard Production Operator. So I never run out of Golds nor Origium Shards. If there are a steady supply of Orirocks. And as long as there are no Event stages to attend to. Note 2 - Montly Subscription active at all time. My LMD increase as well, it never been in frozen state due to productions. At this time of writing this. I have 100,500 Orundum. Hope this help whoever reading this. I want to put link of the Screenshot of my base output but UA-cam auto block comment with links...I'll try put it in the reply then...If you don't see it then it got auto-blocked.

“Veterans” Check “Collectors” Check “No Lifers”...why do I feel exposed? Anyways, I rarely only focus on Orundum farming. Mostly spend like less than 7 days (or more on dead week or dry days) on farming Orirocks .
shortest TLDR to rocc slave / 1-7 enjoyer / orundum farmer, you DONT do this when you still want to raise some operators. You DO this when you have nothing to do, usually happens to end game veteran player
ooo another in depth orundum farm video, nice!!!! as for me....i am already ̶o̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ stuck at orundum farming and i usually stock up 400-600+ rocks before i start converting them (pls send help) anyways nice video and keep it up~
I didn't bother doing the orundum rocc farm because it's just not worth it for the amount you get. I prefer waiting for the weekly reset while using my sanity on farming materials for the upcoming new operators.
Well done on the video, you touch various topic about the subject and present it in entertaining way. For future release, maybe tone down the BGM a bit since it's get in the way of your beautiful presentation.
You did an amazing job if this was your 1st time making this kind of video dude. 👌 Also thanks, Ill need this strat if I want to reach 300 pulls for Dusk in Ling's Banner.
Somewhere in depth of arknights server. There is a whale account sitting with 252 base with a factory + trading post solely for orondum farming. Also, they have like 10k rocks in their inventory just chilling. I bet they are indeed exist.
For me to make it as stable as possible, i decided to orundum farm only for 200 orundum a day. Meaning that, if i'm lucky i can have some spare sanity for other things. Not only that, but i tend to have a fairly big stock of orirock, so i can at least not farm Orirock for 7-10 days, just enough to finish any event. And since i'm a monthly pass player, i use all those extra sanity potions on LMD, chips or other stuff. With these i've managed to develop a fairly healthy and balanced way to have income for everything. Pulls, LMD, EXP, materials, event farming.
I think its important to note that you dont have to convert all those rocks immediately to Orundum. You can go about your daily LMD/EXP Card Base while still farming rocks and only switch up to Orundum farm when there's a banner you want to pull on. You have at least 2 weeks to convert all rocks to Orundum before the banner ends and its usually more than enough time. Regardless, only do this when you have raised everyone you wanna raise and this is definitely a noob trap when you're only starting out
so I've been farming devices and now you're telling me the better way is to farm rocks damn but I'll still keep doing my own thing thanks for the tips though I use them to make my work go easier
Well chapter 9 really put a damper on my orirock mining operation. Bec I'm planning to build all the pinus slyvhestris members(hoping I can get all of them) so I need lots of cutting fluid and that pink stuffs. And u know how trash is the drop rate for cutting fluid. 😭
Personally what I do is wait for "dead periods" to farm the red rocks. However, I am starting to ignore my newest Operators. So I got to the conclusion of farming when a specific Banner comes around, and not a permanent set up ony Rhodes. This video managed to make me took this choice, as I felt I am no longer playing AK, but rather farmville.
Im kinda always feeling like that :o Farming few stages on Auto for mats, sanity gone - > same next day and the day after and so on. Then farming exp tickets bcause u need tons for a few lvls on a single OP, then farming lmd or farming mats again until base generated enough lmd etc etc. At end of chapter 4 i have too say i do rarely more than 1 main Story stage per week, sometimes even less. Rest is farming for materials or Event farming..
Obviously, farming orirock only make sense during late game when you have enough operators leveled up to finish all the levels and they operators you haven't leveled up yet are no longer urgently needed to be leveled up. Most players will waste sanity at some point because they're not going to be staring at the game constantly, so there's always some wasted sanity that can be used to farm. And now, orirock farming is made easier with the x6 autodeploy now. You can cut the time by a lot. When you have lots of teams of exhausted factory works and then you can swap in the team of originium shard workers while you rest your LMD & EXP teams. Basically, you farm originium when you have down time and don't have anything else to do. Might as well get a few extra pulls out of it.
me starting after Chen alter banner gone from 0 Orundum & 0 Ticket now have 90K Orundum with that method really worth it i can do 300+ pull when Ling comes. NOICES
What happened after you're rocc mines 1-7 too much : 1. Slow down your Exp progress, probably you need a more than 2 month just to reach 1 level 2. You missing alotta operator potential that you should definitely raise on it 3. Your gameplay is just boring, you have a high risk to lose interest in Arknights 4. Cost too much Irl sanity, causing brain damage if you ask me 5. just why? why would you want to spend your age to farming on silly pvz waifu's game? 6. Eventually you'll just regret what you were doing from rocc mines
Number 1 is incorrect, since Account EXP ratio with sanity spent is the same regardless. It'll just take a longer gametime because 6 sanity/2 minutes run will take ages to clear the sanity cap, compared to running 36 sanity stages/2 minutes
@@iusearchbtw4969 i think you're missing the point. I'm pointing out the idea of "slow down your EXP progress" is false because sanity/exp ratio stays constant. Doing 1-7 for 20 times gives the same account EXP as doing CE-5 for 4 times. I am not saying anything about the mats progress, because that's a no brainer.
@@MM-kc3ku but that's not worth it at all. 1-7 only give you a 72xp which mean you can get a 1500 xp/130 sanity But instead if you were doing normal mats farm you can get 1750xp/130 sanity Yeah the difference is matter
@@iusearchbtw4969 I am not defending farming 1-7. I am just stating the fact that your initial comment has the wrong concept of sanity/account exp. In fact, I'm against farming 1-7 for orundum.
New Dokutah here, I was surpirsed everytime there's event comes I keep seeing comments "I'm prepared 300 pulls for this" I was like.. wth how did you save so much? so this is the secret, they are veterans that doing this rock strats (excluding the whale) - I guess I'll just spent resources to improve base and operators for now..
As soon as i found out that the game can be beaten with lower star operator (read : day 1 playing) , the whole orundum stuff becomes irrelevant to me, so no, farming orundum is not worth it imo Only pulled new banner with the first 10 pull bonus and thats it, the rest is having fun trying to beat level without watching the solution on youtube Happy TD :D
I am more or less the same. Got a few meta units thanks to Newbie pool guarantee and some luck. Now I want to max out ths operators I Use and moreover I never really bothered to check about this Originum shard go Orindum technique
I know that it shouldnt work like this but for me farming device in S3-4 is better, like, literally I get more extra devices (2 per run) than runs without one dropping and the time I need to spend is sooooo short compared to farming rocks perfect for weeks, rocks for weekends
the answer is still yes. just do it in your free time (or in dead week between events) and just farm devices. i still have my real life sanity by doing that, lol
keep farming brotha, I was once a rich player that own hundred thousands orrundum but I hit a wall in chalter banner and haven't recovered since, now I was thrown into mining hell and hope that I can get Ntr knights and have spare for Ling
I’d only farm if I had 2mil+ LMD and 2k rocks already on deck. You can clear most of the game with 4 star units so having built units already isn’t really a requirement for this. Unless you plan on doing events. Once Arknights give us the option to auto play stages up to 7 times this method will be much better on your irl sanity lmao.
i do farm actually after ch 9 drop, rn i only got 280ish pulls when i need 700+ for all that i want up to 3rd anniversary maybe. im not going to fcking play with luck, imma override them
I'll been orundum farming since the first obsidian festival. 1-7 is where I live. It's not the most fun but when I get new events the stockpiling feels worth it. I've rolled at least once per special banner and my supplies have yet to drop under 100 rolls and then some. Is it efficient, not really. Do I have lots of rolls yes I had to do a weird base configuration and pick "slower" operators to put into 1 factory and trade center to balance out the production so I'm still getting more LMD than I'm spending.
To put things to scale, for a 10-pull you need 1200 rocks.

my only defense for farming orundums is this.
I love this visual editing style, especially 7:48 Idk why it always gets me
What I usually do is farm rocks on dead weeks or on a rerun event, when theres rerun event I usually blow out all my sanity plus abit of originite to get all the rewards for the rerun within a day or two, then I farm as much rocks as I can within the next couple of weeks while the rerun event is running and convert my base rotation once a new event starts to start farming originium. Not as ideal like what other people does but works for me since I only usually play once a day.
Amazing video! ,clear, clean and straight to the point! I am sold in your channel!
For someone that literally just reached end game and just started trying to figure out how to get more orundum, this video was really informative! Thank you!
Music is a bit too loud compared to your voice, but aside that - nice video
Noted, thanks
Thats why I only recommend this to veterans. If you have a roster with high level ops and half of them E2 lv.90 and you've got nothing else to do then go for it. I'd recommend 3-3-3 base setup tho, its most chill for orundum farming , although you get no exp during farming rocks switch it to exp during events
Great video, well-explained, provided pros and cons so people can decide on their own. Initially I farmed orundum a year after release, but I stopped because of these reasons:
5:33
"Damn that's crazy." -Me, a guy who got her in 2 free 10-pulls
I have most Blue-class and lower class recources in number of 100+ so I got no need to farm other recources therefore, farming Orirock instead. And I also have my way to farm it wihtout losing MY sanity in it process.
My base is 4 factory - 2 Trading posts
1 Factory producing Gold + 1 Originium Shard Factory + 2 EXP Factory.
1 Trading post for Orundum + 1 Gold Trading post
Here the catch. I switch out Operator producing Originium Shard one day and go back to producing gold and swtich it back every 1 day.
So it "Origium Shard Producing Day" and then it "Gold Producing Day" swaping each times. Trading post also changes according to the Factory Productions.
Here are the Production Stats
- Gold Producing Day -
70 (more or less) Gold
56,000 LMD Gold Sales
0 Orundum
- Originuim Shard Producing Day -
40 (more or less) Gold
30,000 LMD Gold Sales
300 Orundum
- Steady 31 EXP Cards per days at all time -
(All of this stats are "Drone Boost" according to the need of the base. Either boost of Originium Shards or Gold or Sale Orders. Drone recharge normally.)
Note - If I don't switch Production days.
Great video! Thanks for covering this topic in-depth!
That being said, the music is way too loud compared to your voice. Specially at 6:10 onwards
Your script and content is good, but the audio mixing could be improved
I quit Arknights after playing for 2 years, and hearing you talk about resource management literally gave me PTSD flashbacks
“Veterans” Check
“Collectors” Check
“No Lifers”...why do I feel exposed?
Anyways, I rarely only focus on Orundum farming. Mostly spend like less than 7 days (or more on dead week or dry days) on farming Orirocks .
I have a quest when i started this game
And that is to E2 90 all unit in the game 1,2,3 * as well being a monthly purchase player
Hearing I'm not the only one who got fucked over by Chalter makes me feel a little better. I feel your pain brother.
Me: exactly 299 pulls 3 hours until the event ended.... with the rocc
*EDIT Monthly Report:* I have reached the amount of 10k Orirocks Cubes
That is very productive, sir.
shortest TLDR to rocc slave / 1-7 enjoyer / orundum farmer, you DONT do this when you still want to raise some operators. You DO this when you have nothing to do, usually happens to end game veteran player
ooo another in depth orundum farm video, nice!!!!
as for me....i am already ̶o̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ stuck at orundum farming and i usually stock up 400-600+ rocks before i start converting them (pls send help)
anyways nice video and keep it up~
theoretically since if your auto deploy failed u get a portion of drops as well as returned sanity, we can abu- ahem use this to double the rewards
Very lovely , would watch again
I didn't bother doing the orundum rocc farm because it's just not worth it for the amount you get. I prefer waiting for the weekly reset while using my sanity on farming materials for the upcoming new operators.
I only limited farming orirock to 44 because you only need 22 shards a day for a month to have exact 10 pulls
Great vid! The BGM is a bit too loud tho.
Well done on the video, you touch various topic about the subject and present it in entertaining way.
For future release, maybe tone down the BGM a bit since it's get in the way of your beautiful presentation.
I just started playing it a few days ago and I have no idea what I'm doing
No, you called it right the first time. Gambling Addicts. Because gambling is fun so what can you do.
You did an amazing job if this was your 1st time making this kind of video dude. 👌
Also thanks, Ill need this strat if I want to reach 300 pulls for Dusk in Ling's Banner.
Somewhere in depth of arknights server. There is a whale account sitting with 252 base with a factory + trading post solely for orondum farming. Also, they have like 10k rocks in their inventory just chilling. I bet they are indeed exist.
Ah, a fellow quarry enthusiast. Never stop the grind, king.
It’s something you do for a month straight or something to build reserves with our future sight in Global or to refill your stock in CN.
Regardless, only do this when you have raised everyone you wanna raise and this is definitely a noob trap when you're only starting out
I’m probably going to farm orundum for like a month or two since I’m not super busy rn and I want to pull for both Dorothy and Texalter
I would recommend also pointing out that spending prime to refill sanity is not efficient at creating corundum through the base.
Quite informative.
i wish they put something like sweep button or something.
Thx finally someone explaining this i really never understood
yea for you all who wanna do Orundum Farm make sure you stocking all LMD before.
so I've been farming devices and now you're telling me the better way is to farm rocks damn but I'll still keep doing my own thing thanks for the tips though I use them to make my work go easier
Oof. But glad to help
Im kinda always feeling like that :o
Farming few stages on Auto for mats, sanity gone - > same next day and the day after and so on.
There's always the weekly Annihilation Operation
Me : wow this video have good explaination and animation, lets see how many subs? 300ish sub? Wait what, how
Btw good video btw
A really helpful guide! Thank you.
I did one simple methode, I skipped skalter banner and now I sit on 240k orundum. Lets go Fartooth!
I mean, it's really good if you have right base layout and you are multi-task person.
me starting after Chen alter banner gone from 0 Orundum & 0 Ticket now have 90K Orundum with that method
really worth it
i can do 300+ pull when Ling comes. NOICES
0:06 me who living in Bengkulu city: hey we have that tower too🤣
This is quite helpful, thank you.
I've farmed orundum my entire life, they call me a madman on Arknights discord. Yet as an f2p player, I have now 36 6* . I'm Kreetchy
How's your 36 6 stars progression? Which ones reached E0Lv50 already?
All joking aside, that is some real dedication.
Could tone down the bgm a bit. The video's nice, quick and simple.
0:43 what's the difference that you had to correct yourself ?
Honestly they should improve upon this system to make it actually worth doing, the games been out for years now
What happened after you're rocc mines 1-7 too much :
1. Slow down your Exp progress, probably you need a more than 2 month just to reach 1 level
2. You missing alotta operator potential that you should definitely raise on it
3. Your gameplay is just boring, you have a high risk to lose interest in Arknights
4. Cost too much Irl sanity, causing brain damage if you ask me
5. just why? why would you want to spend your age to farming on silly pvz waifu's game?
@@MM-kc3ku 6 minutes/sanity, there's no way you can farm mats since there are no sanity left
1-7 only give you a 72xp which mean you can get a 1500 xp/130 sanity
But instead if you were doing normal mats farm you can get 1750xp/130 sanity
Yeah the difference is matter
@@iusearchbtw4969 I am not defending farming 1-7. I am just stating the fact that your initial comment has the wrong concept of sanity/account exp.
In fact, I'm against farming 1-7 for orundum.
best farm spot for orirock is ch'en holiday event because the cost for 1 orirock is cheap
New Dokutah here, I was surpirsed everytime there's event comes I keep seeing comments "I'm prepared 300 pulls for this" I was like.. wth how did you save so much? so this is the secret, they are veterans that doing this rock strats (excluding the whale) - I guess I'll just spent resources to improve base and operators for now..
no you dont need to do this for 300 just dont roll at all
I'm watching this as i farm rocks at 1-7 bcs i simply just really want Mr. Lee 😅😅. Great video tho!!
As soon as i found out that the game can be beaten with lower star operator (read : day 1 playing) , the whole orundum stuff becomes irrelevant to me, so no, farming orundum is not worth it imo
Only pulled new banner with the first 10 pull bonus and thats it, the rest is having fun trying to beat level without watching the solution on youtube
Happy TD :D
I am more or less the same. Got a few meta units thanks to Newbie pool guarantee and some luck. Now I want to max out ths operators I Use and moreover I never really bothered to check about this Originum shard go Orindum technique
I want your strong will, sir.
dont forgot sanity cap. assume it 120 so youll just farm for 30 mins every login
the music too loud, its hard to hear what your saying
me: doing it while knowing it is not very efficient
After watching this I don't want to orundum farm anymore. Too much work lol
Good thing I'm using my laptop to run 1-7 on a macro....
Also I'm so endgame at this stage that I don't need much more.
I know that it shouldnt work like this but for me farming device in S3-4 is better, like, literally I get more extra devices (2 per run) than runs without one dropping and the time I need to spend is sooooo short compared to farming rocks
perfect for weeks, rocks for weekends
loved the vid but music in the background felt a bit too loud
i actually just set a macro on my emulator and let it auto farm 1-7 while doing other things lol, so time isn't really a big deal
i mean if you been playing the game since release you must have a freak ton of mats and op max so i guess this a good places to passively spend them
the answer is still yes. just do it in your free time (or in dead week between events)
and just farm devices. i still have my real life sanity by doing that, lol
Farm device better than rock?
Hi, a very new player here. What about the weekly annihilation operation orundum stages, should those be avoided as well?
You should do the annihilation stages still. They give more orundum per sanity spent after all
@@Scylious Alright, thanks for the reply.
you can use macro on emulator to auto repeat stages so you don't need to spend your time watching 1-7 runs
I m confuse as I also want ntr knight and ling
keep farming brotha, I was once a rich player that own hundred thousands orrundum but I hit a wall in chalter banner and haven't recovered since, now I was thrown into mining hell and hope that I can get Ntr knights and have spare for Ling
Eyyyy nice vid!
I'd say arknight is still F2P friendliest Gacha Currency farm
As a veteran , i can confitm this.
why i doesnt get orundum even tho my weekly are full
i do farm actually after ch 9 drop, rn i only got 280ish pulls when i need 700+ for all that i want up to 3rd anniversary maybe. im not going to fcking play with luck, imma override them
I just cant let my op low lvl so i want to max everything i want before i start rock farming
And before I accept task, my rock should be 2000 atleasy
the bg music is too loud but good video!!
I'll been orundum farming since the first obsidian festival. 1-7 is where I live. It's not the most fun but when I get new events the stockpiling feels worth it. I've rolled at least once per special banner and my supplies have yet to drop under 100 rolls and then some. Is it efficient, not really. Do I have lots of rolls yes
I had to do a weird base configuration and pick "slower" operators to put into 1 factory and trade center to balance out the production so I'm still getting more LMD than I'm spending.
great vid buuut i felt like that the music was a little too loud compared to your voice.
