I watch this every now and then every time I became frustrated at the game just to remind to myself that this game it's not bad, I just suck at it. You're an absolute legend.
I find that to be a really healthy mindset for a gamer. It really helps you appreciate some of the best games of our time. But this and the Jingu fight really are just badly designed.
legit the only thing you need to become good is to just 100% at least one game, preferably yakuza 0 or yakuza kiwami, (yakuza kiwami if you want an easier grind) and once you unlock every skill, you too will unlock skill

I took my time with Arase, i risked a lot against him in this fight. he's so unpredictable in heat mode, but I had a lot of fun against him, probably my favorite boss battle along with Nishiki. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did. 1) No damage 2) No tiger drop 3) no weapons ( includes from enemies) 4) no equipment 5) no Critical health. 6) no Beast Style/Kiwami Finisher ( health regeneration x2)
that ws a great fight honestly, my 2 cents though kiwami finisher I understan why not to use it but in style it kinds of adds a few flashy cutscenes, great fight either way, lso great music timing at the end with the soundtrack

Instead I followed my instinct and i continued the battle and I RISKED a lot, because after his second health regeneration, his speed increases and he attacks even more often than before. but in the end it's a great satisfaction.

Thank you so much for doing this and posting it. I'm SO SICK of Arase fights consisting of people immediately running behind cover and baiting every single enemy, it just bugs me so much. This is way more fitting for such an emotional part of the story and you're just amazing.
I'd give everything to see a proper remake of this story. Not much bosses in this game really have any build up, so fighting them doesn't make you feel much. Take Arase for example, the dude is a pretty valuable member in Nishikiyama family, we should've seen him before, yet he just appears to get beaten into a pulp, which doesn't even feel that satisfying because we barely even know him.
Great comment! I’ve been thinking the same thing for over 10 years. In fact, I expected to learn a bit more from the remake, perhaps through some substories, but there was nothing. That said, I don’t even dislike Arase. In Dead Souls, it was great to have him as an ally, and in Yakuza 3, the final hitman battle was interesting, although poorly designed. Obviously, there’s a different kind of satisfaction when avenging Reina and Shinji and facing Arase and his men, especially with great music playing, but that’s another matter.

There are many people who say this battle is the toughest in the game, from the comments i've read in devileon channel and my channel i would say it's a "competition" beetween: Jingu, arase, akai Brothers. For sure arase is the best at dodging.

@@SITORESGREECE Yeah, in the ps4 version, frame rates made the pool and bowling more challenging, especially pool. it's unbalance bacause The AI is strange, The AI will slip up eventually and sometimes the mistakes are huge, especially in darts minigame. but the unfortunate thing is you need to be playing amazingly when it does. If you start badly, it becomes almost infallible sometimes, for example i remember the AI on expert in pool keeps scoring enough successful shots to prevent me from getting any points- there was no correct balance, from my point of view. Yup, my favorite video in kiwami 1 as well. This battle it's like an anime episode i really like how kiryu destroyed all these punks in anger and kick arase's ass several times. Although I also like the battle against jingu, double tiger drop, violent slaps to jingu, his face slammed to the ground with the beast style and the finisher.
I love how Kiryu didn't even talk to him, he saw Reina dead, he yelled, fight starts. Absolutely remarkable scene telling you how much Kiryu's friends mean to him.

From the description and comment section: KF = Beast Style/Kiwami Finisher ( health regeneration x2). the kiwami finisher in this battle requires beast style 2:17, Essence of ex extreme dragon is a heat action in this battle, except against the final boss and the first boss in story mode.
That dragon style parry you learn from konaki as final move, it is I think the best and fastest way to stun an enemy without using a weapon, and it sets up that beast style throw move perfectly. 👍

I think he would have destroyed them more or less like this in a true anime-style fight. Yeah, i took my time with Arase, because it's my favorite battle in the game. The hardest part is the beginning of the fight, because I didn't want to use the shelter, for this reason it's necessary to pay attention to the enemies around him. I controlled the direction of the weaving pretty well because during that attack arase is a little bit more exposed at some combos with rush and his armor isn't inconsistent like the other attacks. For example here 3:40 - 3:51 i tried more or less the same thing from what i remember but i failed.

For non-expert player, make sure you have unlocked 5-steps dodging skill in rush combo. Then the only thing you have to do is keep dodging the bullet and after 2 consecutive dodges make your attack. This is one of the best styles I found

This guy is one of the worst bosses in the franchise. It’s not that “So hard it’s fun” style, but more “So hard it’s boring”. He just does the same thing, you get a few hits, he rolls a few times, and then he shoots you, and this happens over and over and over and over
He was the only strongest member in the Nishikiyama group, Arase. The others were weak compared to Kiryu. Including the founder of the Nishikiyama group himself, Akira Nishikiyama. The weakest final boss in the Yakuza series. Kazuma Kiryu singlehandedly destroyed the Nishikiyama group that drove them into extinction.
