I have been carving for close to 25 years, and have been doing some bush crafting and bush carving. As soon as the piggy bank is filled i'm interested in purchasing that wood carver axe. That thing is Rawesome Sick! Maybe the little boy in me, but what an axe! I saw the woodsman finest and i was highly impressed!

I feel like if you want one of these axes you have to be patient guys, it’s these small handmade batches that make the product what it is. When I buy an axe from Liam, I want Liam to have worked on it, not a bunch of helpers. Give them a break, they aren’t subservient to your schedule, they are craftsman. If you want an axe, go buy one; if you want an heirloom you have to respect the process.

You should make an axe from all the plugs youve removed over the years. Or send them off to green beetle or something

Plugs from drifts are scale and not steel.

I love seeing how efficient your manufacturing process is. I forged a bearded hatchet and it took me half a day, here you bang out half a dozen in 13 minutes.

Very little actually being hand hammered. These are handmade, but without huge machines they would in even shorter supply.

Wow, just phenomenal. I’m looking for a carving axe and it was either the Gransfors bruks axe or the robin wood carver. I like this much better, hopefully will have the chance to pick one up!

I wish you would get out that book and make some 1 off stuff. Those were good videos. It would be nice to see a hewing axe....something to compete with the Newman (Northmen Guild) axes...maybe like a goosewing or a Canadian style hewing axe.

I have a crazy potentially interesting Damascus pattern idea. Have you ever cleaned up the slugs from forging the eyes and tried to make a canister Damascus billet with them?

I WILL get one Liam Hoffman!!!
I've been edged on blade hq 3 times I've missed the opportunity. Again on the Pre order about a year ago now. 😒 I will have 1!!!
Lol . . . and a Wasatch the 3 pounder for myself, 1.5 for the Wife. . . and a Hawksbill that I should have pre ordered!!!
When I ordered my camp axe (That I'm still waiting for) it was right before you opened the books on the Craft Carver, before I got back to put down my deposit it was too late. Lol Anyway it is what it is. Glad your business is doing well. I emailed Jacob about a month ago now, with regards to my camp axe, I haven't heard back from him. I'm not certain if he's still managing that aspect of your business. I am wondering though.

every evening i leave my flower shop and head home to give the Mrs. a smack on the toosh and a kiss, and i go straight to my shop to fire up the forge. about 3 hours into pouring sweat and swing hammmma i always think, "man i should invest in a power hammer".... then i watch a video like this and think "where is the skill?, where is the craft?, if you're gonna use a power hammer, may as well have bought a cnc...".... then i feel like a dick. but freal blacksmithing is much more impressive with hammmmma
