Tolle Autos!
Does the CSV always activate at start or only in very cold weather, you state 30 degrees (C or F). Also part of the test should examine for any continued leaking after disengaging the start?
@@R107Schrauber 30 degrees C?, since my garage is around 25-30 degrees C, I assume that is why I am not getting 12V to the CSV when I turn key to ON and then use a remote starter to turn the car over (coil disconnected as per your video). No spray and no drips. If the car is under 30C then where would I look to determine why no 12V to the CSV? There is plenty of fuel pressure to the CSV so at least I know it doesnt leak
What is the exact year of construction, i.e. which month in the year 76? The K-Jetronic has a flow divider, the D-Jetronic has a ring line and electronically controlled injection nozzles
Nice video. My w126 280se is staying on high rpm (1500) while in park and n. When it goes in drive it drops to 1000rpm. Could this be from the cold start valve?
d thank you, the cold start valve is not responsible for this. First of all, check the overvoltage protection relay, the additional air slide and possibly false air.
It depends on the temperature sensor, the brass ring of the temperature sensor is stamped with the number of degrees and the duration of injection. it generally injects below 30 degrees

The engine temperature must be below 30 degrees then the cold start valve injects

@@R107Schrauber I read on the electrical schematic the switch providing power is closed until 68 F, 15 C so will re-test in the winter. Thanks
My 76 350SL R107 has this type of cold start valve also. You mentioned it's for KE-Jetronic. Would mine be KE-Jetronic then?
No, you probably have a K-Jetronic, the 350 had the D-Jetronic until 02/76 and the K-Jetronic from 03/76. Best regards
@@R107Schrauber How would you be able to tell from looking at engine whether it's K or D? Cold start valve must be the same for all I guess

@hrauber It must be the K-Jet then coz it has the fuel distributor/divider.
Should the coldstart valve always spray on a coldsstart? Mine does not when it is 0°C when i tested it. I own a 1990 230CE
Best raguards Jerry!
If the temperature is below 30 degrees, it should always be sprayed at the start
@@R107Schrauber as long as starter motor is on ? or timer ?

My cold start valve does not spray any gas, is it for any temperature or does it have to be 30 degrees to activate

@@R107Schrauber thank you
I have an slc and there is no plug
an SLC does not have a KE-Jetronic
