@@badgerattoadhall I don't know what it was like pre-Covid, but I truly can't understand what all the hype is about now. I fly American Airlines often between the East Coast and Europe, and I find their planes, their staff, and their onboard service to be much better than Delta. I think Delta is living off a reputation which was earned years ago. Today's Delta is a different species altogether.
I'm in Delta One on a 300-200 between MSP and LHR in a week - also my first transatlantic flight. Can't wait. I have an excellent idea of what to expect based upon your video. Thanks so much.
I am to this day baffled as to how the much fabled and efficient Dutch could turn once-amazing Schiphol into a chaotic mess of unprofessional, under-trained, un-proficient agents..... does take some doin' man!
I took the New York Airways helicopter in 1986 to JFK. They stopped it because a propeller fell off on the roof of the Pan Am building and killed a passenger. Then a propeller fell off and killed a pedestrian walking on Madison Avenue. In 1969 my aunt flew Pan Am DC-8 to Amsterdam from JFK and in those days my mother and I were allowed to go with her to the Pan Am lounge. I still remember.
I just have to comment on this 3:56 - 4:19. This really just goes to show how technology is causing a huge disconnect between fellow humans. I can nearly promise that if this were a traditional service with a waiter, the server would come and give you updates on your order and be motivated to serve you as quickly as possible since you've been waiting. With QR codes and screens, you're basically non-existent and only just a name on a computer screen. Its sad that I'm only in my early 20s and I can see how much better society was decades ago compared to today
I think Delta business class its poor specially their catering I mean look at the meals presentation no real appetizer before they were serving shrimp and soup with salad now it two spoon soup overall in my opinion its poor dont you think?
Their catering is 10x better than anything you would get on American or United long haul business class. While some airlines offer two or three choices for the starter, Delta just offers one, which is the soup. Otherwise, I don't see an issue.
@@theplanesguy yes better than UA delta was offering soup and other starter they removed it and still I think its poor compare to other airlines and remember not all passengers getting free upgrade chargin 3600 $ and giving them two spoon of soup is a shame
@@robertgonzales3936 yeah I get it, this was a cash ticket myself, not a free upgrade. I’ve never flown international in a premium cabin before Covid so I guess I’m not too familiar on what it used to be
My issue with airline catering at this level us the use of ingredients I don't and won't eat... a salad that I would only touch the Tomatoes or a soup that made of squash... no thank you... I want the comfort but I'd want food I would eat, they can't even make a cheese sandwich correctly... Virgin Upper Class at least allows for ordering things like a nashville chicken sandwich... although it does come with disgusting sweet potato wedges...
Nice t see you living the true glitzy life of the international jetsetter!!!
What a great way to make an entrance at JFK! Great video, thanks for sharing.
My Son is a Pilot for Delta and this is the plane he flies from SEA to Europe!👨✈️✈️
I really like the soft, supple ride that the 330 offers...nice!
Delta Airlines Is My Favorite In North America.Great Trip Report
delta is not what it used to be pre covid.

When flying Delta One on an A330-300 as a cpl is it better for both to be in the center seats or across the aisle from each other ???
The two center seats are best for couples for sure.
I thought all the Delta One seats went through an overhaul/update. When was this filmed?
Only on certain aircraft. This was filmed March 2023
Was the Blade shuttle included?
I wish, but sadly not
where is the virgin lounge? isnt it interminal 1 or 4?
Above Gate A5 in Terminal 4

How much did you pay for this business class flight from NY to Amsterdam ?
$1,600 for multi city booked through KLM, BUD-AMS-LHR; LHR-JFK; JFK-AMS-BUD
A chicken thigh is one of the least desired parts of the chicken, Why no white chicken breast???
such primitive meal service. no elegance no luxury no INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS CABIN a nightmare

Qatar takes you 5000 miles out of the way to everywhere except Middle East and Singapore and if you are going to Singapore just fly SIA
