I also have an XKR x100 4.2SC that has about 130.000km and is also in good shape. And hadn’t had major problems in its 20years since new. People just still parrot shit from the 70s without ever having owned one. Sure, all my cars had small stuff. Like a mirror motor only working if it felt like it. Or a seat motor only working when the car was warm. Some would call it „Quirks“. But no actual problematic design flaws. The last time that was the case was under Ford Management like the Nikasil Cylinder coating of the first XK X100 engines that made the engines go boom. Today they are just as, if not more reliable as any German rival in the last 2 decades.

Having owned two '67 E-types through the years, and worked at a Jag restoration shop in Orlando, the coolest thing I can tell you about that car is that it is so beloved that every part you could ever need is available to keep those boys running. And it's a simple, reliable car. It had an inline 6 with a twin cam aluminum head; triple carbs; and it was a hemi! There's a reason Enzo Ferrari called it "the most beautiful car ever made." Designed by Malcolm Sayer, a Series 1 E-type sits in New York's metropolitan museum of art. So, next time you see one of these beautiful "super cars" just know that it doesn't cost anymore to make a beautiful car than an ugly one. But like everything beautiful, from architecture, cars, and women, ...you're going to pay extra. But what are you getting for that "extra?" Life is short. You can't take it with you. All we carry to the grave is our moral character. Strive to leave a good legacy, with an epitaph that encourages others to share in that walk. And the best legacy is one of Christian charity.

CEOs that cause massive losses in the share market should be made to reimburse the company from their own pocket. Instead they will leave with a multi million payout after causing the brand irreparable damage.

Also reminds me of a press conference a while back where they asked Daniel Craig if the new James Bond is gay.
