I am okay with it. 19 years on one show at his age now. He is 70 years old. Time to spend time with his wife, and kids again. This man has worked as an actor for over fifty years, and doesn't ever need to work again. Frankly, when Sean Connery retired, everyone said, yeah sure, but he stayed retired, and enjoyed about eight years of quiet life with his family. Golden years. Mark and Pam should tour the world together, create new adventures for themselves. Gibbs can always show up randomly whenever he wants. Do another story arc with his wife, and carry on that way. I will enjoy seeing McGee take up the mantle of Leader in the bullpen. Taking Gibbs's desk will be a very very big deal. But I know McGee is up for it. Maybe even a slight power struggle between him and Wilmer would be kinda cool too. idk.

He had that opertunity more than 5 times during the series . His character has been blown up , shot , drown , had amnesia , & even ran away to Mexico with Mike Franks . In each case Harmon could have made a clear exit as Gibbs, but chose not to .
He's one of TV's greatest icons. He deserves to go when and how he leaves. As old as he is, he might just be getting tired a lot faster these days and decided it was time to go. He leaves at the top of his game.
Gary Cole is only 5 years younger. Why replace the old Gibbs with someone almost as old and gray haired? I like Gary Cole, but they should have brought in someone younger to helm the team (that is, if McGee sticks to his guns and continues to not want the much more demanding position). Harmon has a lot of irons in the fire. He'll probably still executive produce this show as well as others. I, for one, will miss seeing him as a regular. His character should have long ago been promoted to the Director's position, but Gibbs didn't want that. Now they've boxed him in.

Michael Weatherly could've carried the show without Mark Harmon though. I think he just wanted to headline his own show though.
Gonna miss the guy, he deserves a swift retirement maybe he can show up as a guest star even if it's just an episode or two he's been a great actor hopefully NCIS keeps his legacy alive and the show can adapt without him it will be big shoes to fill. Godspeed!
I have followed NCIS entire time, it’s upsetting that this year they moved to Monday night at 9 pm…. I’m old and can hardly stay up past 8 pm…..and I certainly can’t watch NCIS Hawaii! I have felt past 2 years that NCIS was getting close to shutting down. I think Mark Harmon & writers should be commended on keeping keeping plots new and fresh for 19 years! Not many shows can do that, but not many stay on air for nearly 2 decades!

I am a big Mark Harmon fan and have been since I was 14 yrs. Old. I have seen most of the work he has been in over the years and was happy when he landed NCIS and stayed with the show for so many seasons. I will miss him terribly if he leaves the show completely but, hey, everyone is entitled to retire! He and Pam I am sure want to spend some quality time together. Series TV is quite demanding and when you have a family it is even harder to spend so much time away from them. I wish him well. Hope he does some episodes cos I love that gorgeous face but I am happy he is making a decision to live his life. If Gary Cole is joining the cast to step in to that role, well I think I can used to that face as well! Good luck Mark
I watch NCIS from the beginning. Of course I love the original cast and I wish that all of the stars from the original cast could come back together one more time when they do the series finale. Thank you Mark Harmon AKA Jethro Gibbs for giving us 18 years of a wonderful TV show. You earned your retirement gunny. God bless you in the future
I remember watching Mark Harmon on a show where he was a doctor I think it was called St Elsewhere. He is a great actor and one that kept his looks through the years.

I think Mark Harmon wants to retire and have a “normal” life. One can’t help but be affected by years of acting out these scenes of violence. But you could see a genuine smile on Mark’s face when he was driving that boat.
I actually didn’t know but the first episodes sure felt like a goodbye. And Gary Cole’s appearance felt like an introduction. And his character felt just right. I’m ok, as long as Gibbs can ride off into the sunset.

I enjoyed watching the main NCIS New Orleans actors and characters, especially lovely Zoe McLellan as Meredith Brody (it infuriated me to learn that the actress was criticized by some apparently blind producer and fired for not being sexy enough. He actually was quoted using a crude phrase) I think she's very attractive, and have since I first saw her on JAG).
In 2003 when NCIS first aired, I had no intentions of watching the show. My wife loved it. I would sit in the room with her while she watched the show. I would Facebook or Google on my phone. I would watch scenes that caught my attention. It wasn't long I was hooked. Through reruns, I've seen NCIS from the beginning several times over. I've heard Mark Harmon may leave the show, but I was totally shocked at last Monday night's episode. I'll still be watching until the end. Except for NCIS, I don't care to watch television much anymore. There's nothing on that is truly entertaining. Hopefully NCIS will be on another 18 years.
Even though he is retiring from acting, I think it was great that his wife came out of retirement to be on the last few episodes he was in. And dang Pam was still sporting the same hair style from Mork and Mindy OH so many years ago.
I have enjoyed watching reruns along with the new season especially since there aren’t as many episodes as there used to be. The reruns have filled in the gaps for details I’ve missed through the years. I miss Gibbs this first half of Season 19 but it hasn’t been as heartbreaking since I get to see the reruns. This way I’m eased into missing him, Ducky, Tony, Zeva, Abbs, Mike Franks, Jenny… PS-it was such a treat getting to see Pam Dabber last season. And I love Sean Harmon’s cameo’s!

Nothing in life stays the same,, Lots of shows have had people come and go.. I think it will do just fine.. I was hooked on NCIS from the very first episode. I really like Mark Harmon, his Gibbs character and all the other cast members over the years. The plots are terrific, the cast members have always meshed perfectly, and Gibb's head slaps were always SO funny and perfectly timed. I realize that couldn't go on forever but wish he still would have done it occasionally. I particularly love David McCallum's "Ducky"; I've been a fan for decades - since his appearance in the "Sixth Finger" episode of the Outer Limits and then the Man From U.N.C.L.E. I remember laughing myself sick in an NCIS episode where Ziva (or was it Kate?) asked, "I wonder who Ducky was in a previous life (not verbatim)"; Gibbs remarked dryly, "Illya Kuryakin" and Ziva, very puzzled, asked, "Who??" I'm just 8 months older than Mr. Harmon and I know the "it's time to retire" feeling. After a 45-year working career, I was tired, physically and mentally. I retired at 65 to make my own hours, not be tied to work deadlines, and have more time to spend with my husband and family. I wanted to enjoy my hobbies and choose what I'd do on any given day. Perhaps Mr. Harmon has reached a similar decision, or maybe he has something else he wants to do, who knows? Like so many others, I'm going to miss his constant presence on the show, but if he's left for reasons stated above (or whatever his reasons) I can relate. But NCIS will never be quite the same, will it? Sigh!

Lead actor, and producer are two jobs that are difficult, and stressful. Also Mark is no spring chicken anymore, he's more that earned a break. I believe hell be back in guest shots.
Federal Agents have a mandatory retirement age of 57 which can only be extended, in special cases, a few years by the agency Director. Jethro is WAYYY past that and the suspension of disbelief is a bit stretched. It's just a TV show but in reality...

I thought the Harmon/Cole switch was done extremely well. Kudos to all involved and thanks for not making this departure a heartbreaker. I will happily continue to watch it.
I first saw Mark Harmon as “The Deliberate Stranger” in a miniseries in 1986, he played serial killer Ted Bundy. He was so handsome as was Bundy. Mark was absolutely brilliant. I have enjoyed NCIS & watched every episode even after some of the characters left I still watched the show. I will miss the show & Mark, but he deserves a break & time with his family. He’s made such a great contribution to those of us who served/serving. I know he didn’t serve, but he is a brother/Veteran as much as I am. Thanks for the memories Mark, enjoy what time you have.
The show has went through a lot of hard changes over the years. I am a little curious how things go from here. Gibbs story had an awesome ending, for a man who went through so much. Whether show survives after him, is a good question. I think remaining cast deserves a chance.
I completely understand Mark Harmon leaving. However, once he leaves the show, so do I. The dream team on this show was definitely Gibbs, Tony, McGee, Ziva, Abby, Ducky and Jimmy. I remember the first thing I ever saw him in; the movie Summer School

I would like to see him do 20 years at least (maybe 21?) just to round things out. I would rather see Scott Bacula than Gary Cole as a replacement to GIbbs.

NCIS hasn’t been the same since Tony and Ziva left, I’ve kind of lost interest in the show since they left, now it just won’t be the same now that Gibbs is leaving, all good things have to come to an end eventually and I think Gibbs is leaving on a good note, at least there not killing him off. Plus here in Australia 🇦🇺 they haven’t been showing the show on a regular basis and it’s not on the same channel as it first started so I’ve missed so many episodes but still watch the repeats every night with Tony and Ziva still in the show, I wonder what he’ll be doing from now on, I can’t get into the NCIS Las Vegas, the actors in that aren’t that interesting for me and I don’t know whether they did a cross over like when the other NCIS shows started, I prefer NCIS New Orleans now over the other ones. I love the NCIS show I have been watching it for years sometimes I even play some of the episodes over again because I can't get enough of watching that show I loved all the characters and I really missed some of the originals like Abby and ziva and Tony DiNoza and Jenny Shepherd and Mike Frank's. I've watched NCIS since day 1 and I've missed the first 2 shows due to it being on Mondays and me forgetting. Mark is NCIS and I don't know if I can watch it now plus it will be lucky to make it this year.

They killed the Director's wife, Ziva's dad, then Ziva died (but didn't), and the wife of the young doctor, then the guy who mentored Gibbs who called him Probie, and DiNozzo left, then Bishop, plus Ducky and Abby. Too much, too many. After a while it's just silly. Gibbs is too old to be active as an agent and he has killed a lot of people over the series in the line of duty. He doesn't show any emotion but that has to take a toll over time, right? Where is that? We don't see it. The viewers have to keep making new relationships to the characters. Life does go on but sometimes it's nice when TV doesn't.

It is kind of kooky, I remember seeing Mark Harmon on a very old episode of "Emergency" back in the 1970s, he was such a GEEK!!!!! A seriously awkward GEEK!!!! Hoo Boy, did he mature like a fine wine? He sure did. Who could have foreseen from those old days, that he'd go to greater roles? If he wants to retire, allow him the dignity. He has more than earned it!!!!!!
The writers of the show should write an episode that allows Gibbs to Retire. After all Federal Agents do retire after 20 years of service and have a mandatory age of 57.

For many years this was one of my favorite shows. However, as original cast members started falling off the show to me changed far too much. In fact, after pauley perrette left I watched the show for a while and it just didn't hold the same interest that it once had. In addition, there were several episodes where woke extremist politics creep their way into the storyline and that's really when I called it quits. That was also why I quit watching NCIS New Orleans. The show became far too political and I just didn't see the value in it from an entertainment standpoint. Mark Harmon without a doubt was the most interesting character and the cornerstone of the whole franchise. Frankly, in my mind the series ended a few seasons ago but, when the official ending comes I hope Mark Harmon and others from the original cast will be there to give it a proper send-off. That would probably be the only way I would tune in and watch the finale.
The biggest problem with NCIS is that the story lines got way too far into the realm of unbelievable, it reminds me of ER back in the day. These procedural shows should stick to plot lines that can believed!

You never gave the reason that Mark really left NCIS. You hemmed and hawed about him coming back or maybe not coming back or being in the series finale. But you didn't even touch on the real reason Mark Harmon left NCIS. So what's the answer? The answer to that would be that he's in his seventies and he would like to spend more time with his wife, Pam Dawber. Or that the series is coming to an end of and it's better to leave out on a high note. Or...
I'm ok with main characters to exit shows, Gibbs is the hardes to watch out exiting the show, but we have to move on and find another journey, I really knew that s19 will be hist last run, even at his age he really needs to rest a bit from acting , I don't think that anyone who had so many movies/series and alot of appearances wants to continue forever, even jim carrey said that he's almost at his limits, so let them be free and do whatever they want, enjoy the life as it suppose to be.
Gibbs character seemed to have a thing for Marci (played by mark Harmons real life wife Pam Dauber). Vance gave Gibbs a satellite phone before he departed for Alaska. What if Marci's story had her abducted by criminal types because of her stories content and Vance or McGhee called Gibbs about the turn of events. As a proper exit Gibbs could come back save Marci and then the hero Gibbs would get the girl and then ride off into the sunset. That would be a proper ending for Leroy Jethro Gibbs and all he has endured during his life with the loss of his family and many others he has cared about, a peaceful existence with someone to share it with! Would make a hell of a season final episode!
He's old, getting tired, he and Pam are empty nesters now and, very Rich! They worked hard, got Rich, kept working hard and want to retire. Wish them luck and Let him alone.
I do not know if I would have tried doing this in season 19 or try to get everyone in season 20 and I mean a big finale with an arch of all those characters who had left-bringing them all back where you have a final season-and a final episode kind of like how MASH did it back in 1983. I think too many characters have left to sustain the show (in my opinion). That is what I would try to do and then close the bookpon NCIS. I love NCIS and probably have watched as many full seasons as I have seen Star Wars: A New Hope (episode 4)
I love the addition of Gary Cole and Katrina Law. I can see Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber showing up for occasional guest spots. Gary Cole and Katrina Law can provide a fresh aspect and storylines.
I enjoyed this procedural drama which highlighted the importance of great military “Naval Intelligence “ Mark Harmon is moving on towards the next chapter in his wonderful career and hopefully this isn’t, the last we hear or see of him.
I'm sure I'm in a minority, but personally I think it's time for NCIS to wrap up for good. I know the title of the show is about an organization and not any one person. But it always felt like it was about a certain group of people, and all but one are no longer there.
Thank you to the producers and writers who kept the show going with integrity. Not getting into all the sex & affairs that co-workers seem to have on long run show! We love NCIS, we will miss Leroy, but it's been fun to see how Gary fits into the mix and how different, yet same he is as Gibbs!

Just watched this episode, and agent gibbs must have had a good deal with a brick merchant lol. I'm glad we FINALLY find out how gibbs got his boats out of the basement.
But that was only one boat what of the others and where did they go?? Think about it after each boat left he would have to repair the wall, That alone could tire him out that's a lot of cement and bricks to play with.
Do all you think that this is the last time we see Gibbs?.... As has been infamously said recently, "Come on!". When SPECIAL EPISODES are called upon, such as Marcy is again in big trouble, or anyone of the infamous Gibbs diabolical criminals escapes from jail, who is NCIS gonna call to capture the world threatening thug?....."Get Gibbs on the phone!" Great ratings and media hype and a great season closing episode...you heard it here first!

Gary Cole is only 5 years younger. Why replace the old Gibbs with someone almost as old and gray haired? I like Gary Cole, but they should have brought in someone younger to helm the team (that is, if McGee sticks to his guns and continues to not want the much more demanding position). Harmon has a lot of irons in the fire. He'll probably still executive produce this show as well as others. I, for one, will miss seeing him as a regular. His character should have long ago been promoted to the Director's position, but Gibbs didn't want that. Now they've boxed him in.

Michael Weatherly could've carried the show without Mark Harmon though. I think he just wanted to headline his own show though.
Gonna miss the guy, he deserves a swift retirement maybe he can show up as a guest star even if it's just an episode or two he's been a great actor hopefully NCIS keeps his legacy alive and the show can adapt without him it will be big shoes to fill. Godspeed!
I have followed NCIS entire time, it’s upsetting that this year they moved to Monday night at 9 pm…. I’m old and can hardly stay up past 8 pm…..and I certainly can’t watch NCIS Hawaii! I have felt past 2 years that NCIS was getting close to shutting down. I think Mark Harmon & writers should be commended on keeping keeping plots new and fresh for 19 years! Not many shows can do that, but not many stay on air for nearly 2 decades!
it nearly killed me when Ziva and Tony left and then Abbey… Losing Gibbs was the final straw for me :( There is no NCIS without Gibbs!

I am a big Mark Harmon fan and have been since I was 14 yrs. Old. I have seen most of the work he has been in over the years and was happy when he landed NCIS and stayed with the show for so many seasons. I will miss him terribly if he leaves the show completely but, hey, everyone is entitled to retire! He and Pam I am sure want to spend some quality time together. Series TV is quite demanding and when you have a family it is even harder to spend so much time away from them. I wish him well. Hope he does some episodes cos I love that gorgeous face but I am happy he is making a decision to live his life. If Gary Cole is joining the cast to step in to that role, well I think I can used to that face as well! Good luck Mark

I watch NCIS from the beginning. Of course I love the original cast and I wish that all of the stars from the original cast could come back together one more time when they do the series finale. I remember watching Mark Harmon on a show where he was a doctor I think it was called St Elsewhere. He is a great actor and one that kept his looks through the years.

I think Mark Harmon wants to retire and have a “normal” life. One can’t help but be affected by years of acting out these scenes of violence. But you could see a genuine smile on Mark’s face when he was driving that boat.

I actually didn’t know but the first episodes sure felt like a goodbye. And Gary Cole’s appearance felt like an introduction. And his character felt just right. I’m ok, as long as Gibbs can ride off into the sunset.

I enjoyed watching the main NCIS New Orleans actors and characters, especially lovely Zoe McLellan as Meredith Brody (it infuriated me to learn that the actress was criticized by some apparently blind producer and fired for not being sexy enough. He actually was quoted using a crude phrase) I think she's very attractive, and have since I first saw her on JAG).
In 2003 when NCIS first aired, I had no intentions of watching the show. My wife loved it. I would sit in the room with her while she watched the show. I would Facebook or Google on my phone. I would watch scenes that caught my attention. It wasn't long I was hooked. Through reruns, I've seen NCIS from the beginning several times over. I've heard Mark Harmon may leave the show, but I was totally shocked at last Monday night's episode. I'll still be watching until the end. Except for NCIS, I don't care to watch television much anymore. There's nothing on that is truly entertaining. Hopefully NCIS will be on another 18 years.

I have enjoyed watching reruns along with the new season especially since there aren’t as many episodes as there used to be. The reruns have filled in the gaps for details I’ve missed through the years. I miss Gibbs this first half of Season 19 but it hasn’t been as heartbreaking since I get to see the reruns. This way I’m eased into missing him, Ducky, Tony, Zeva, Abbs, Mike Franks, Jenny… PS-it was such a treat getting to see Pam Dabber last season. And I love Sean Harmon’s cameo’s!

McGee was first seen in episode 7 of the first season. Palmer was also in the first season. And Ducky is still a part of the show.

I was hooked on NCIS from the very first episode. I really like Mark Harmon, his Gibbs character and all the other cast members over the years. The plots are terrific, the cast members have always meshed perfectly, and Gibb's head slaps were always SO funny and perfectly timed. I realize that couldn't go on forever but wish he still would have done it occasionally.
I particularly love David McCallum's "Ducky"; I've been a fan for decades - since his appearance in the "Sixth Finger" episode of the Outer Limits and then the Man From U.N.C.L.E. I remember laughing myself sick in an NCIS episode where Ziva (or was it Kate?) asked, "I wonder who Ducky was in a previous life (not verbatim)"; Gibbs remarked dryly, "Illya Kuryakin" and Ziva, very puzzled, asked, "Who??"
I'm just 8 months older than Mr. Harmon and I know the "it's time to retire" feeling. After a 45-year working career, I was tired, physically and mentally. I retired at 65 to make my own hours, not be tied to work deadlines, and have more time to spend with my husband and family. I wanted to enjoy my hobbies and choose what I'd do on any given day. Perhaps Mr. Harmon has reached a similar decision, or maybe he has something else he wants to do, who knows? Like so many others, I'm going to miss his constant presence on the show, but if he's left for reasons stated above (or whatever his reasons) I can relate.
But NCIS will never be quite the same, will it?

Lead actor, and producer are two jobs that are difficult, and stressful. Also Mark is no spring chicken anymore, he's more that earned a break. I believe hell be back in guest shots.
Federal Agents have a mandatory retirement age of 57 which can only be extended, in special cases, a few years by the agency Director.
Jethro is WAYYY past that and the suspension of disbelief is a bit stretched. It's just a TV show but in reality...

I thought the Harmon/Cole switch was done extremely well. Kudos to all involved and thanks for not making this departure a heartbreaker. I will happily continue to watch it.

I first saw Mark Harmon as “The Deliberate Stranger” in a miniseries in 1986, he played serial killer Ted Bundy. He was so handsome as was Bundy. Mark was absolutely brilliant. I have enjoyed NCIS & watched every episode even after some of the characters left I still watched the show. I will miss the show & Mark, but he deserves a break & time with his family. He’s made such a great contribution to those of us who served/serving. I know he didn’t serve, but he is a brother/Veteran as much as I am. Thanks for the memories Mark, enjoy what time you have.

The transition to Gary Cole has been handled very well so far I think.
The show has went through a lot of hard changes over the years. I am a little curious how things go from here. Gibbs story had an awesome ending, for a man who went through so much. Whether show survives after him, is a good question. I think remaining cast deserves a chance.
I completely understand Mark Harmon leaving. However, once he leaves the show, so do I. The dream team on this show was definitely Gibbs, Tony, McGee, Ziva, Abby, Ducky and Jimmy.

I would like to see him do 20 years at least (maybe 21?) just to round things out. I would rather see Scott Bacula than Gary Cole as a replacement to GIbbs.

NCIS hasn’t been the same since Tony and Ziva left, I’ve kind of lost interest in the show since they left, now it just won’t be the same now that Gibbs is leaving, all good things have to come to an end eventually and I think Gibbs is leaving on a good note, at least there not killing him off. Plus here in Australia 🇦🇺 they haven’t been showing the show on a regular basis and it’s not on the same channel as it first started so I’ve missed so many episodes but still watch the repeats every night with Tony and Ziva still in the show, I wonder what he’ll be doing from now on, I can’t get into the NCIS Las Vegas, the actors in that aren’t that interesting for me and I don’t know whether they did a cross over like when the other NCIS shows started, I prefer NCIS New Orleans now over the other ones. They killed the Director's wife, Ziva's dad, then Ziva died (but didn't), and the wife of the young doctor, then the guy who mentored Gibbs who called him Probie, and DiNozzo left, then Bishop, plus Ducky and Abby. Too much, too many. After a while it's just silly. Gibbs is too old to be active as an agent and he has killed a lot of people over the series in the line of duty. He doesn't show any emotion but that has to take a toll over time, right? Where is that? We don't see it. The viewers have to keep making new relationships to the characters. Life does go on but sometimes it's nice when TV doesn't.

It is kind of kooky, I remember seeing Mark Harmon on a very old episode of "Emergency" back in the 1970s, he was such a GEEK!!!!! A seriously awkward GEEK!!!! Hoo Boy, did he mature like a fine wine? He sure did. Who could have foreseen from those old days, that he'd go to greater roles? If he wants to retire, allow him the dignity. It sadens me to the core .It seems as if everyshow I get to know and like has to end or people I like in them leave.It seems as if the shows are like 6 months of new and 6 of reruns a year ...
For many years this was one of my favorite shows. However, as original cast members started falling off the show to me changed far too much. In fact, after pauley perrette left I watched the show for a while and it just didn't hold the same interest that it once had. In addition, there were several episodes where woke extremist politics creep their way into the storyline and that's really when I called it quits. That was also why I quit watching NCIS New Orleans. The show became far too political and I just didn't see the value in it from an entertainment standpoint. Mark Harmon without a doubt was the most interesting character and the cornerstone of the whole franchise. Frankly, in my mind the series ended a few seasons ago but, when the official ending comes I hope Mark Harmon and others from the original cast will be there to give it a proper send-off. That would probably be the only way I would tune in and watch the finale.
They should bring Harmon Rabb and Major McKenzie back for the finale

The biggest problem with NCIS is that the story lines got way too far into the realm of unbelievable, it reminds me of ER back in the day. These procedural shows should stick to plot lines that can believed!

You never gave the reason that Mark really left NCIS. You hemmed and hawed about him coming back or maybe not coming back or being in the series finale. But you didn't even touch on the real reason Mark Harmon left NCIS. So what's the answer? The answer to that would be that he's in his seventies and he would like to spend more time with his wife, Pam Dawber. Or that the series is coming to an end of and it's better to leave out on a high note. Or...
He brought something special to ncis that cant be replaced.
I'm ok with main characters to exit shows, Gibbs is the hardes to watch out exiting the show, but we have to move on and find another journey, I really knew that s19 will be hist last run, even at his age he really needs to rest a bit from acting , I don't think that anyone who had so many movies/series and alot of appearances wants to continue forever, even jim carrey said that he's almost at his limits, so let them be free and do whatever they want, enjoy the life as it suppose to be.
Gibbs character seemed to have a thing for Marci (played by mark Harmons real life wife Pam Dauber).
Vance gave Gibbs a satellite phone before he departed for Alaska.
What if Marci's story had her abducted by criminal types because of her stories content and Vance or McGhee called Gibbs about the turn of events.
As a proper exit Gibbs could come back save Marci and then the hero Gibbs would get the girl and then ride off into the sunset.
That would be a proper ending for Leroy Jethro Gibbs and all he has endured during his life with the loss of his family and many others he has cared about, a peaceful existence with someone to share it with!
Would make a hell of a season final episode!

I do not know if I would have tried doing this in season 19 or try to get everyone in season 20 and I mean a big finale with an arch of all those characters who had left-bringing them all back where you have a final season-and a final episode kind of like how MASH did it back in 1983. I think too many characters have left to sustain the show (in my opinion). That is what I would try to do and then close the bookpon NCIS. I love NCIS and probably have watched as many full seasons as I have seen Star Wars: A New Hope (episode 4)
I love the addition of Gary Cole and Katrina Law. I can see Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber showing up for occasional guest spots. Gary Cole and Katrina Law can provide a fresh aspect and storylines.

I enjoyed this procedural drama which highlighted the importance of great military “Naval Intelligence “ Mark Harmon is moving on towards the next chapter in his wonderful career and hopefully this isn’t, the last we hear or see of him.
I'm sure I'm in a minority, but personally I think it's time for NCIS to wrap up for good. I know the title of the show is about an organization and not any one person. But it always felt like it was about a certain group of people, and all but one are no longer there.
Thank you to the producers and writers who kept the show going with integrity. Not getting into all the sex & affairs that co-workers seem to have on long run show! We love NCIS, we will miss Leroy, but it's been fun to see how Gary fits into the mix and how different, yet same he is as Gibbs!

Just watched this episode, and agent gibbs must have had a good deal with a brick merchant lol.
I'm glad we FINALLY find out how gibbs got his boats out of the basement.
But that was only one boat what of the others and where did they go?? Think about it after each boat left he would have to repair the wall, That alone could tire him out that's a lot of cement and bricks to play with.
