shaun i wanted to say all this in person but when i saw you at the sharks game, i was too emotional to say anything. i know youve heard it all before but again i want to thank you for everything youve done, not just for the game and for the warriors... but for me personally. you were always my idol and inspiration growing up and still are today. my dream was to play alongside you one day for the warriors but in similar fashion injuries really took a toll on me. i tried pushing through all the injuries as you would but after my 3rd ACL at 21 i knew the dream was over. from your NRL debut to your last game it has been an absolute joy to watch you throughout the years on and off the field. the laughs, the tears, the smiles, the screams, the highs and the lows. i may be crying cause its over but ill never stop smiling cause it happened. knowing i got to witness (in my opinion at least) the greatest warrior to ever dawn the jersey will always bring me joy and if given the choice id go through all the emotions again and again. nothing else left to say besides, you shaun johnson, are my GOAT. thank you

I'm Tongan but grew up in Fiji, and ever since you made your debut in 2011, I would call myself Shaun Johnson or SJ trying to emulate you and the Fijian kids were like "brass, who is that??". After showing them a few of your touch highlights and highlights from the few NRL games you played, your name was amongst the likes of the great Waisale Serevi, William Ryder, Benji Marshall etc as players we'd pick to be during touch. I never missed a Warriors game since 2011 because of you. While I couldn't quite achieve the dream to play along side you, I've now gone on to become a lawyer. Even with my busy schedules and work commitments, I've made every effort to watch every game you played, whether it was for the Warriors or the Kiwis. The type of joy, excitement and satisfaction from watching you play the game is hard to describe, but it's similar to getting a rush of dopamine followed by a sense of comfort. So yeah, thank you SJ. Thank you for the memories you've given me, both the good, the bad and even the heartbreaking ones. As cringe as it sounds, I'm not the person I am today without the impact you had on my life, albeit from behind a screen as I've never had the opportunity to watch you live. The trading card talk has absolutely got me fizzing.. Marc knows his stuff.. There is a trading card hobby scene within NZ especially when it comes to sports and there is a few lads who PC (Personal collection) Shauny and the cards with his signature on it are absolutely stunning. I reckon to the right person, SJ rookie card can go for a bit :D. Once again lads awesome episode, the last sequence breakdown was so good i had to re-watch the IG clip of the breakdown in motion.. Whoever created / edited the clip was ON POINT.. Congrats SJ on your wonderful career. The best player NZ has produced, THE GOAT.

Actually on Brook's side for the Tier It Up this week, taking the Warriors to the Grand Final was unbelievable and that play against defenders like Proctor and Cronk is on another level
Trading cards are a big game SJ, the ones that come with the high price tags are licensed products. NRL traders have your signed cards included which are highly sort after with the odds very low to hit. RC or rookie cards are highly sort after. Not sure if you had one in 2011 but it would be a collecters dream
I have some SJ cards that need to be signed. I had a chance at Pak n Save in p.north. I found it more important to get the kids down to meet and get a picture with Shaun.

half the issue being is that they dont show the replays properly when doing video ref stuff, they have multiple screens yet only show the fans one screen so its hard to tell what they are judging off 90% of the time. i fully agree it slows the game and when they get it wrong it feels so much worse as they have had all the time in the world to make the wrong call still even when gus gets it right live 95% of the time from the commentators box xD
