8 Things That Make Men Ugly and UnAttractive

  • I like to go a bit deeper on this channel and call out the things I've seen over the years working with 100's of men and these might be obvious to you but some need a bit of a reminder. Women are much less attracted to a man's exterior than men are, we are far less visual. What makes you attractive in our eyes are the things that come out of your mouth and how you respond to situations. If you're looking for more guidance and the sisterly advice check out my resources below.

    Men, your never going to get it right with women. They live by emotions, feelings, and hormones. What makes them happy and what they want will change daily if not hourly. You will end up being miserable playing the relationship game. Be 100% responsible for your own happiness. Find peace and happiness within yourself.

    Didn't care for the caricature of guys with lower emotional intelligence, TBH. It felt condescending, just like your video from a while back on blue collar guys. Is the problem that our interests are boring? Or is the problem that we often can't put our "why" into words? If a guy's childhood memories are full of unpleasant experiences that he doesn't really want to talk about, is he cooked? Lots of guys are scared to open up about that stuff because we're worried women will lose attraction or worse, weaponize it down the road, a problem I know you're well aware of. And one of the big reasons alexithymia is so much more prevalent in men than in women is because we were oftentimes punished for showing our emotions as boys, often by parents or peers.
    I hear jokes like, "analyzing the Fibonacci code of the table we're sitting on" and it feels disrespectful. It feels like you're implying that being analytical thinkers makes us essentially incapable of emotional intimacy, instead of it being a skills gap-which you did touch on. Like you said, there's nothing wrong with being analytical thinkers. But I feel like the implication is that in order to be considered a good partner we must be perfectly in tune with our emotions. And lots of us have a _very_ long way to go to get to that point, and we feel undeserving of love because of it.

    • @bestanus4087
      @bestanus4087 Місяць тому

      No. They don't want the men who 'can put their why into words.' They want the masculine guy and they try to change him and then get upset that they got the masculine guy. The articulate guys are invisible and once they become articulate in sharing their feelings, they're no longer attractive. If you share feelings with a woman it can only be the approved feelings. Yes, she's analyzing analytical guys without seeing the irony of her own hypocrisy and projection as an out of touch analyzer herself. Classic lack of self-awareness.

    Sarah, on points number one and number two, we men have a name for them. It’s called normal. What a woman calls. Emotionally unavailable is normal for a man. I think women expect men to not have issues with autism and ADHD, but women can have these problems without consequence (I say that last word keeping in mind that it's not the autistic's or ADHD'ers fault). Also, it's not as simple as "Hey! Just date another autistic!" because we're often MORE incompatible with other autistics (because it's such a diverse spectrum!) than we are with neurotypicals.

    First of all I just want to say I just started watching your channel and I'm completely hooked. I've been watching them non-stop every freaking video. I am late to the game with Mr. Nice Guy. I mean I knew I had something wrong in that sense and I had started noticing a anxious attachment. What I had never experienced in a relationship was number one from this list which was disassociation my girl that recently broke my heart had a very severe avoidant attachment. I have a severely anxious attachment and after intimacy in the bedroom she would go to the bathroom and be in there for sometimes half an hour to an hour and I thought what is going on? And she told me that she would dissociate and she didn't know why. She just said she would just forget to come out and just be gone and I never had that in a relationship before. It was very strange, but it's nice to hear the explanation for it and to get a little bit of a understanding from this video. So thank you so much! Sarah. I wish you were taking clients. I really need help with this anxious attachment stuff. I got into recovery 3 years ago and I purposely stayed out of relationships because I would always rush into a relationship and I would relapse. So I didn't stayed by myself. Worked on myself and thought I was ready after 3 years to get into a relationship. As soon as I started dating this girl it all came right back as if I did zero work and it just goes to show how tenacious and pernicious these heuristics that we lay down in our brains in childhood. I had a very domineering mother and I have let her down over the years with my addiction. I had a lot of promise as young man and I destroyed my life and I know that I'm a big disappointment so I know that is fueling in a huge way. This anxious attachment because before the addiction my mother was always so proud of me and always told me that I was the son that she always wanted etc. The disappointment was more crushing than the actual addiction I think and to hear you say some of these things is gives me the reassurance that I I was on the right track with that insight. I just don't know what to do about it. Thanks again

    Man, it must be tough being a woman and requiring so much from a man. I hear this stuff and realize how lucky i am to simply need a woman who is very good looking, kind, intelligent, self sufficient, fairly emotionally regulated, who has a decent amount of common values and interests to make me happy. Regarding your second point, i know from personal conversations that you couldn't care less about sports. But to a big sports
    fan (or Star Wars fan, or Suoerhero movie fan, etc, etc), sports can be a very emotional and deep topic as far as how good you felt when your favorite team won a title, for example. So i think you have to luck out and share fandoms of which you are both passionate about......things that others might be bored in hearing. I had a brief, but committed relationship 5 years ago, and part of what made our first interaction and eventual first date so much fun was hearing how passionate she was about her favorite teams. When things ended 3 months later (largely due to her avoidant attachment style), i told people, "If she cared about spending quality time with me half as much as she cared about watching Ohio State football games, things might have worked out, lol."

    Being an Engineer, it's very difficult when you talk to someone and they literally don't know anything about how even basic things work and you need to stop, yet I would be expected to hear about all the gossip about where some obsure person went or about some celebrity. Of course when someone comes to me and says I need to do more "work" and that zero women need to work on the fact that emotional decision making is creating outcomes that can cause more hardship or drama.
    Your stereotype is really bad, honestly the only one doing analysis about how many thrusts is the fictional charachter Sheldon from the big bang theory. I'm personally very affectionate when I am intimate with someone.
    The thing I could tell women is, all your stuff at home will be fixed, you won't be poor, your kids will be successful and disciplined and you will actually be able to retire if you are with someone who is even a halfway decent engineer and you don't fight him about everything. Taking a little extra time to "learn" something instead of dismissing everything and chalking it all up to emotions.
    Otherwise, you know actually try to talk to us instead of hints and games. My BS meter is tuned in.

    Honestly great advice for just being a better man and human. But do these things for yourself and your own sanity. From experience, you will be a better friend, a better co worker and have a better life. But don't get upset if you still end up alone. There is no guarantee of mutual love for even the best men. Your own standards will be higher now because you are better and know what qualities a better woman should have. Be grateful for your own achievements and the accolades from others. A person without romance has just as much right from God to be happy as one who does.

    Love bombing is a trait of a broken man or woman. There's nothing wrong with saying how great you think she is and when the feelings are mutual she will do the same. That's not love bombing it's just a good relationship.
    If a woman doesn't like you how you are then she's not worth your time! Have a job, have emotions, be respectful, and the rest should just flow. It's not that hard to make an emotionally available woman happy. The problem is when she's not doing her part in the relationship but expects you to be her everything.

The second part is are you suggesting that we should stop or resist ancient male/female behaviors? Has psychology changed or evolved with modern thought and dismisses these same behaviors as old fashioned and more about the evolution of the times?

    Well, I can honestly say i've got 3 out of the 8. Granted, one of them is not to earn affection but to provide an outlet for my OCD. I fix things. I like to fix things. I need to stop trying to fix people. When things are not working what I would consider "properly", it drives me crazy. I'm nearly purely analytical to the point i've almost been called a psychopath by 2 psycho-analysts. I feel emotions, so I can't be a psychopath but logical brain can kick my emotional brains ass 99 out of 100 times. It has to be a very very strong emotional event for me to lead with emotion. I know what the trauma was that caused it, but don't know how to move past that trauma.

    I really don't understand what you said about love bombing. Do you think guys don't know you're human? Why on Earth would the fact that you are human enter our minds when thinking about you? Everyone is human. This makes me think women really have no idea the depths of a man's emotions. All men are not the same, and the fact of the matter is, the overwhelming majority of men than women interact with are on one side of a spectrum of men, and they rarely ever come across the other kinds of men. Probably because they are much rarer and harder to find than ever in this toxic dating environment we live in.

I feel all the things I want to feel and then all of a sudden, all the other girls I've been talking to her coming out of the one would work. One asked me to marry her and I said I can I love another but I didn't crash her down and slammer to the ground and burn. I was nice and sweet about it. And I let her and said no, you'll find Somebody. That's younger. You'll find Somebody that love you. As much as you know, I love this other person so. Everybody just everything is just turned fricking Medieval. God himself could write a playbook for how women are supposed to be in? Men are supposed to be and nice. People in this world would still screw it up. Cause they're stupid

  • @robertking8648
    @robertking8648 Місяць тому

    So what if a man thinks she's found a soulmate? And everything that he's taught himself about being a man. And all the above and he spells his guts out tour.
    Then is he wrong? And he knows in his heart of hearts that he really does love this woman and maybe she doesn't. You're only allowed to see probably. Twice in your life you're so mean. Or person, that will be that good for your mental mindset. And can bring all the emotions with that other person. And you're just saying to throw that away.
    Because some people would just think that was crazy. A person can't love somebody or it's a fantasy. Why? Who came up with that idea? Why can't 2 people if one loves that person that much? Why can't that be enough for both of them? And then the other one could either say yes or no or follow suit. I mean, isn't that wood? Human beings are supposed to be are supposed to do. Are you supposed to go out for 5 years with somebody? And then find out they're s***** anyway. And yeah, you wasted 4 years and 5 years. And now you're 70 or 80. How's your going through life looking for that person? I think makes more sense to me. Spill your guts, let everything out of the bag. And let that person look at it, feel it. Respond to it or not because everybody in this world. I don't care who they are. I've been down this road plenty of times with women. And they say they wanna get emotionally attached to somebody. And they wanna have this and that, and then when you do. They're out the door and down the river with the next boy. See, I see it a different way. You tell a woman you love her. You're crazy about her. You know, you're so mean you know. And you just feel that in your heart. Or hard to cry going to sleep at night. You feel all this stuff, empathy? And all this is rushing in at 1 time. And you don't act on that in your life. Then you're stupid. You know, God only puts out there so much that he can do. And then you gotta do the rest.
    And he's gonna look your dead knee eye when you die and said well, I put it right there for you. I told you she was yours. And you didn't act on it, you're stupid.
    Insurance, I rather act on it and lose. And be heartbroken about it when I die and I go there and say, well you know I tried I did everything I, could I let her know? I did this. I did that. I all I could and she wasn't having it. Well then, when she comes there she can he can talk to her and then look at her and go. What are you stupid? You're not gonna get the brass ring. Or the gold ring or the silver ring unless you reach out and grab it. How about this? When you get in the relationship, write out boundaries and don't do a lot of them because people won't do it but right out about 5 of them and then have them write emotional sexual urges and things that they like. I wanna see one female, fill that paper out not yet. Hasn't happened, I never will because man have to have a Swamy hat on and in a f****** crystal ball. To figure out what the hell they want. Been there, done all that.
