I was interested in dentistry earlier in life but never pursued it and after watching your videos I'm glad I didn't. I'm not particularly passionate about any work. I like fixing things in general but I've noticed this trend when people make things they like doing into their livelihood it becomes easy to burn out on it and then they begin to resent the thing they enjoyed.
I'd be interested in learning how to fix teeth if it was possible to do it as an interest or just to have the desire to possess the skill to do it but that's not really an option. Even dentists use other dentists to work on their own teeth so it doesn't seem like a practical skill to have if you're not doing it as a career.
Since I'm principally motivated by money now because it buys you your freedom I have been focusing for many years on finance and trading. People can make way more money exploiting financial instruments than those people like doctors and dentists who put in all that work providing an essential service.
While I'm not making as much as a dentist yet, I do make a pretty good portion of what they do now and I have a lot of my time available to me that they don't.

The dentist who did the Playboy Playmates' teeth in Orange County died out of nowhere during the start of the recession. This explains it.

I don’t see 500k+ in student loans for dental school being worth it in this generation honestly. This is why I’m gonna apply to Ontario schools where the final debt will be around 200k or look for a backup plan

@@petrosstyle2981I just graduated with a CS degree in the US. I loved school, but the industry and job market right now is horrifying (no one hiring entry level, lack of job security, poor working conditions, AI replacement, etc). I really regret getting into debt for it. But the good thing about CS is that you have the potential to work in many different contexts and even create your own company. I hope you have less debt over there and find more happiness in it than me. I feel like I was misled in school about what it is really like so I just wanted ti give you a heads up.
