Hi About 1 year ago i had similar dilema with home whitening systems in our practice, we use cheaper Zoom and more advanced Enlighten (from USA). Few tomes using zoom i found that the final effect (final shade) is not predictable and i was giving patients both optoins and discussing them and patients often seemed confused and not sure which to choose. Eventually i completely dropped zoom and concertated exclusively on Enlighten. It gave me a bit of calm.

I found that I was the most happy in dentistry when I spent four and a half years in the Navy. They gave you tons of cases. You were on call immediately. They had specialists to mentor you. You got continued education. You got thirty days vacation a year. You got all federal holidays. It is non profit so if you do the needed amount of years or if you leave and join a hospital of the VA your loan can be forgiven . You get tax free housing and food allowance . You can get deployed to a ship or live with your spouse in a foreign country. When not on a ship you have a normal work schedule and can go home with weekends off. If you have call you go in only to treat the patient. If you don’t like active duty then do the Reserves. I was in the Navy Reserve and the National Guard. 240k before taxes for loan repayments . One weekend a month, two weeks during summer. Continuing education . Great times with fellow dentists and your medical colleagues. Both have very low cost medical insurance premiums. Look it up, this could make it worth it to join especially if have a family. Dentists deploy for a maximum of ninety days on the ground by law. Add one month for 2 week pre deployment and 2 week post deployment. Depends on world conditions. Other dentists volunteer so deployment varies. You can have your own business with the Reserves. I spent my career after active duty working for other dentists for four years and then opened my own practice from scratch in a town that had plenty of dentists. It was hard in the beginning but I did not go to dental school to work with other people. Screw insurance companies. I eventually made good money. My advice,if you want to get married, choose the right person, who can support you and be an addition to your life. I did and I continually worked on my marriage. Many dentists and military members get divorced. If I was single I would have stayed in the military and enjoyed my life there. It is hard on a married man unless your spouse is in the military or comes from a military family.

The other day I told her how lucky she was to be making 750 k a yr doing something that has such high esteem as being a dr She said she can’t take it anymore and wanted to get into flipping houses to make a living She is in her mid 40 s. And she was clinically depressed over her choice in becoming a dentist. I’m sure there are many like her.

Here are the three steps that are needed to get saved and be right with God who loved us all , for eternal life with him! As everyone and anyone can get saved! :[) 1-Admit you’re a sinner and be willing to turn from your own self righteousness to God. 2-Believe onto Jesus Christ, who being the only begotten Son of God, died on the cross, was buried and resurrected for the full forgiveness of our sins as a free gift out of God’s love for us. 3-Confess onto God, asking to be saved accepting this free gift of salvation, to start a new life of being born again, after being saved and forgiven from all your sins. :) (The romans road to salvation from the King James Bible.) Romans 3: 10-12+23 (KJB) 10. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" 11."There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." 12."They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." 23. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 5: 8-9+12 (KJB) 8. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." 9."Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." 12. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all that have sinned:” Romans 10: 9-10+13 (KJB) 9. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 10."For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 13."For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 6: 23 (KJB) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (An example of what to pray to God to get saved and forgiven of your sins.) “Dear God, I am a sinner and need saving. I know I’m not good enough to get to heaven and I need you to save me. I need the righteousness of your son, Jesus Christ.I believe that Jesus is the Lord, who died, was buried and resurrected so that his precious blood can wash away my sins. I trust in him alone to save me. Nothing else. Not my good works or anything else. Only Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.” (More related scripture.) John 3: 15-17 (KJB) 15."That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." 16."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." 17."For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 (KJB) 1."Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2."By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 3."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” 4."And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Hebrews 9: 27-28 (KJB) 27."And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" 28."So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Ephesians 2: 8-9 (KJB) 8."For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" 9."Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Revelation 21: 8 (KJB) "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

I believe dentists are motivated by money and over treat patients. Each and every dentist I have been to, have told me that it’s ok to extract teeth because putting in implant is what he offers. They lie and extract teeth, just so they can put in implants and charge a big amount. This kind of corruption without remorse and they call themselves doctors.

Thank you..... Now I understand why dentists only focus on doing the most expensive treatment and ignore the smaller cavities and also prefer focusing on the treatments that medical cover refuses to pay ...... I have just been told by my dentist .." so sorry I missed that cavity last week" when I told her that I could even see it in the mirror but she still took an x-ray! Then decided I needed a root canal treatment which I was required to pay upfront for !!! This is a dentist which received all my file from my previous dentist when he retired .....I have Never been late in paying any portion of an account that needed paying. For the first time in my 70 yrs of life .....I Hate Dentists!!!!! The medical field is supposed to be chosen by people who put patients health FIRST! I know because I was a Medical case manager until 2004. Good luck to you and your utube money .....I now also understand why there are So many doctors on utube ! It's about the MONEY.

I could not be dentist because one mistake can ruin somebody's life forever.

Dentistry is no different than any other business. It's supply and demand. One of the main reasons many dentists burn out is they work too hard for too little money since they want to work and live in major cities where is an over supply of dentists and not enough patients to go around. Some of the most successful and happy dentists that I know of, and I'm one of them, live and work in small towns. Patient's are very appreciative of the service they get, most are cash patients and there is very little competition.

I never met a dentist who wasn't a con artist whose grift was YOUR body. I have 3 fillings I never needed, and the last ripoff arti--uh--"dentist" I went to was talking about crowns and a root canal. My teeth are fine, although the unnecessary fillings kept breaking and falling out. I have little sympathy for these people as, like cops, it seems like the vast majority of their job is torturing, robbing, and threatening people. YOU chose that profession, and YOU chose to become that con artist. Little about dentistry has changed since the 1800's except now the opioids are more highly addictive and occasionally covered by insurance. I'd say try lobbying to lower the cost of dentistry school, or try being nice and honest to patients, or stop ripping people off at the very least so you aren't as loathed, but you would never do that, would you? That might actually help someone, and that isn't your grift. Now, lie and drill away in the prison you built for yourselves.

I am a periodontist working at a practice where I’m being treated like a hygienist. I’m being scheduled to see a full day of hygiene patients, and when I find teeth that need extractions and implants or crown lengthenings the owner comes by and immediately puts these patients into his schedule. All I get from him is single tooth SRPs. I guess this situation of owners taking advantage of an associate is more common than we think..

The economics and sociology of the profession of dentistry is set up in a very damaging way.. My opinion is the job of dentistry for most people is healthy teeth, healthy gums and advice on hygiene. But the opportunities for remuneration rely on cosmetic work. For most/many people that is not right because the basics of their oral health haven't been secured. It creates a deep psychogical strain and inherent conflict because a health based model has maximum work and minimal return. I think all ethical practice is the focus of young professionals. There are ways to navigate this. But it's a strain.

Listen, if medicine is a dishonest scam that doesn't reach even slightly reasonably into the root cause of an issue, then dentistry is its clownass little brother. You're not doing anything sustainable or real. Sorry, but be a bigger man like that surgeon recently and out your trash business for what it is. The world needs real people and real solutions, no more clowns.
