You find his tiny petite ankle wings cool? 😂
@@BustinNutz949 yes, but only petite ones.
never has a guy in tight green swim trunks ever been so badass or so intimidating. also, man, i love m'baku. my dude didn't take the heart shaped herb. he's in peak condition but he's still only human. still he never hesitates to go toe to toe with superhumans, and all his strength and ability is 100% his own.
the end he said he wants to chalenge to take the Throne, and because Shuri is not there, maybe M Baku will be King, and i think being a King he will get the Plant of the Black Panter :^
um throwing a full sized humanoid like 30 feet with a staff isnt "normal human strength"
m'baku takes a different herb in the movie because he has strength to rival the black panther

Thank you, gives me chills everytime
Even in the comics: Seeing how shuri lost her mom, brother, father, uncle, and cousin … I’m surprised she didn’t turn into a new killmonger 💯

i mean... she almost did. i mean isn't she a anti hero in the comics too? so, she won't be the same anymore.
Man, him going head to head with T'Challa wouldve been the ultimate fight. You can see that was the original plan.
Im so happy Namor finally got his day in Live action Court , Tenoch Huerta did his thing as the character
They did this scene perfectly, ranging from the sirens killing the EMT’s, M’Baku screaming “Invaders” turning to the noise of the water explosions, and just showing how badass Namor and the Talokan really are. I can’t remember his name but that big Talokan dude wanted nothing more than a good fight🤣
Yep that was Attuma.
yeah when he called the Wakandan General as warrior he want to challenge her for a rematch

just a shame they used random pseudohistory stuff.
atlantis is a greek myth but for some reason marvel insists on them being Mayan.
@@Sgt.chickenscause DCEU was doing Aquaman at this time and both studios thought the masses would confuse two versions of the same fictional location.
Namor doesn’t really have a race as a mutant, so culturally origin shouldn’t matter as he lives under the sea - not on a continent.
@@murk4552 Namor in the comics is a specific race not just a mutant. His people found atlantis and are not the original builders in the comics but they are also not mayans
@Sgt.chickens well, he isn't Greek or Roman either moron. He is a part mutant, part Atlantean, meaning he defies any actual category of a social construct that is human race.
Once again, whether or not he is White or some other color doesn't matter as he never identified as "White" and even openly attacked them as sailors while claiming that to be them in their identity.
@@Sgt.chickens and it's a myth jackass. You realize Atlantis should be idk IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN?
I know it obviously wasn’t the first thing on their minds but I hope that Okoye would be reinstated as general after this attack. Like EVERYONE present in this scene finally saw that she wasn’t crazy or making stuff up to cover up any failure on her part. Especially M’Baku! I mean his eyes were so wide when he saw they were actually riding on the backs of whales.
Her firing had nothing to do with it the believed her story or not. It’s was because of her constant let downs and failures as a general. She gave the queen her word on several serious occasions and failed constantly. Especially with something as big as losing the princess and living to tell the story. Any king or queen would be pissed. Generals get executed for less. All she got was a stern talking to and lost her job.
Idk wym, I don’t think anyone thought she was crazy to begin with, it was just the tension of the room of the princess being captured or possibly dead.
Man, that Jaguar whistle in Namor's theme and when he attacks M'baku and the Queen 🥶
It's an aztec death whistle
which is present in this greek myth where they are all speaking mayan for some reason.

@@Sgt.chickensNamor doesn’t turn blue cause he's a mutant. The point is, the Talokan are blue just like Marvel's Atlanteans. Also, Greece isn't sureounded by the Atlantic Ocean, but different seas.
It is historically inaccurate to call Namor's people Atlanteans if they're from Greece. Latin America is literature next to the Atlantic Ocean, so now that I think about it, they don't need to be called the Talokan.

I think that the most striking thing about the portrayal of Wakanda is the bit in the first Black Panther film where two actors literally turn to the audience and state that Wakanda deliberately chooses to refuse to share its technology with its impoverished African neighbours. Which, after all, is a perfect summation of how western audiences watching these films feel.
Tech is not what made Wakanda a paradise. It was the spirit of the people and their leaders. Could you imagine what an unstable and untrustworthy government would do with the technology?
@@Joanna-nb3bc The characters weren't talking about governments: their deliberate statement to camera was along the lines of "Why don't we use our tech to help refugees (i.e. ordinary Africans)? Because we don't want to encourage more refugees." Or something equally bastardish. Of course, the whole thing is just a load of childish fantasy bullshit, but it did strike me as
significant that the scriptwriters should take pains to insert such an overtly Western supremacist sequence.
@hugojames85 I haven't seen the movie yet so I didn't realize it was brought up and their response was so heartless
@@Joanna-nb3bc I wouldn't rush to see it, TBH, Joanna: it's pretty rubbish in other ways too.
western supremacist? bruv these exact same concepts happen in africa thats the point.
richer african nations frequently shit talk their poorer neighbours instead of helping them.
it was a commentary on the political struggles africa currently faces. which is outside meddling in their internal affairs from the west and from china, Racial inequality, and due to ethnic and cultural differences as well as greedy politicians, they also follow the same anti-immigrant rhetoric. its never been a western thing.@@hugojames85

Superhero movies are almost always better when they lean into the parts that seem silly in the comics and figure out how to do them seriously.
At least, they based his origins in the 1500's so it's still possible for the MCU to feature a film with the Invaders / Liberty Legion / All Winner Squad and have him be part of the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond's) origins. Victor Timely was introduced in Loki and Phineas Horton was briefly shown in the first Captain America film.
Love Namor!!
so pain full to see Shuri crying for her mother
men that dead scene was emotional
Entire movie makes no sense. Namor invades territory, he murders scores of citizens (including the queen), they don't inform the other nations of his existence to clear their name (though whatever secret pact they wanted should've been thrown out when he invaded; plus, it wouldn't have put Ross in a bind), and they only had a handful of airships to defend their capital. More so, in the final battle, they fight Namor's troops water (despite it being their domain of excellence) instead of forcing them to come in-land towards them (fighting from their domain of excellence). On top of this, when Shuri has the opportunity to end Namor, she doesn't, so "she won't be consumed by vengeance"? ...aight...
They had to lure Namor to reveal himself and they knew he'd be more likely to do that if fighting over water. Shuri spares Namor because she doesn't want to bring war to those children she saw in Talokan. She'd kill Namor if it wouldn't start an eternal war, but it will, and in that moment she realizes that an eternal war means she'd have to kill those kids (since they'd eventually grow up to be more soldiers in the war), and she doesn't want to do that so she doesn't kill Namor.

“Might be as strong as the hulk”
I didn’t realize a guy that doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of beating a Black Panther was remotely capable of surviving a punch from someone that strong. Let alone go fight at seemingly full strength in a week.
That SHOULD require enough strength and durability to DEMOLISH a de-powered T’Challa .
I know that M’baku has some vague powers in the comics but it hasn’t been mentioned in the movies and in fact has been contradicted by his fight with T’Challa.
One of the best mcu films
Should be titled “Namor commits multiple war crimes in the span of about 6 minutes”
Titled should be called wakanda starts a war by invading talocan and killing one of its civilians
@@ramon4184 Shuri wanted to save that person also Namor committed more war crimes
Namor actually looks like he's pulled straight from the pages of a comic book. Great scene.
Crazy not even thanos army could this much damage to wakanda. It’s sad seeing them getting beat here but it just keeps proving the point that they need the black panther to help protect them. While I love that namor and his people are so high tech while still just like wakandans using spears and traditional weapons. While also those compact water bombs are insane when you think how dangerous that much water can be when it expands anywhere it’s thrown.
Namor didn't really want to attack Wakanda, but they forced his hand when Lupita Neyong's character sneaked into Talokan unwarranted to "free" Riri & Shuri & then killed his, eh, idk if she was Namor's wife/daughter/bodyguard. So yea, all this could've been avoided if the queen had laid off the testosterone supplements...

Namor was awesome
Namor is a true threat. Reed Richards better ready cus he’s coming for Sue Storm.
Very interesting that both Black Panther films have really memorable villains.
That could’ve been avoided if Wakanda did what the Talokans did & provide all the citizens the heart shaped herb making them all super soldiers instead of just the Black Panther. Right with the Wakandans it’s basically like an army of Hawkeyes trying to fight an army of Winter soldiers or Captain Americas
"Who clogged the toilet again?"
tbh this invading scene better than the battle on ship lol
Watching him move midair is so satisfying...
I really wish we had seen a Civil War between Wakanda people to determine the next Black Panther. It wouldn't be rushed. At least Shuri or some other characters would've got enough character development. How unrealistic it is for a society to be together when their King is dead. 😂.
Exactly what I thought. Namor could have just been a cameo here. Succession conflicts would have made a much better story
Why are you haters so dumb?
Wakanda was already ruled by queen ramonda.
A civil war in Africa actually makes sense.
However, it makes no sense that everyone in this film speaks with a South African accent and even speaks a fake form of Xhosa.
Keep in mind that T’Challa “died” after Thanos snapped, so somehow the society was together without the King for 5 years. Why would it be so unreasonable that society couldn’t hold itself together when that experience with the snap existed?
@@Puggalug Have u seen the power grab/struggle in BP1 ? When Killmonger defeated Black Panther, there was new clans supporting the reign of Killmonger. This happened when they thought BP was dead. Now why i said it's unrealistic, irl there would be many powerful people wage war to become King. My point is if they want to build a solid Black Panther from the scratch, BP2 should have been more like civil war. I've seen a lot of hatred towards Shuri and other characters because how poorly developed they were. If the story was to determine who should become the King, they have to prove it first among their own. And in 3rd they should've introduced Namor as a challenge for whoever the new Black Panther is.
Love this
Holy shit Namor and his people are terrifying!
Incredible job with this movie an what a way to introduce Namor finally. Incredible as the movie is just imagine if Chadwick was still with us today. Rest in peace.
I personally think they made Namor unbeatable… like hello? He washed away they whole capital, killed the queen n that was with one eye open n 10 of his soldiers… idk how #3 is gonna play out
He's already strong they didn't make him unbeatable...that's like complaining about quicksilver being hard to catch
He's pretty powerful in the comic books, too. The argument could even be made that he was even a little toned down for the movie!
Wakanda is the most advanced civilization yet it always looks like they have 3 or 4 fighters ships at a time. Basically 0 ground support, and almost 0 ground response. The only time they showed a bigger force was in Avengers.
Avatar + Aquaman + Ironman = Black panther 2.
