"You know a while back I did an office tour on this channel" Yeah that was like 3 weeks ago. *looks at the date of the last video* IT'S BEEN 3 MONTHS ALREADY!?
Agreed. I'm moving to my own place in a month and while I wanted a 1 bedroom, they had none so I had to get a two. But now I can turn that second room into an office (and taking inspiration from Aki, I'm putting a daybed in it, so it can also double as a guest bedroom). I love watching room tours as they're helping to give me ideas.
Some vinyl recommendations from a Japanese jazz and city-pop fan: - Takako Mamyia: Love trip - Kiyoshi Sugimoto: L.A. Master (the track "I'm blind to all but you" is truly magical) Hope you like these records! Edit: I know almost no japanese, that's why I wrote the artist's names in "romanji".
Also might I add, Anri's 1983 album, "Timely!!" (タイムリー). Definitely a City Pop classic! And also Ryo Fukui's "Scenery" (シーナリィ) is an amazing Japanese jazz album!
oi joey, put your pc on a plank or sth flat. You re suffocating the PSU if the intake is facing downwards, making it a potential fire hazard and a time bomb for the components
@@yellowcard8100 yesnt, at 1:07 joey shows the carpet and its floor length (how tall the fabric strands are) is like .5 cm. But the standoff height of the meshyfies are tiny XD. So defo some choking
Lots of PC cases, especially ones without legs or risers allow you to mount the vent intake facing upwards. This draws the warm air from inside the case out through the back of the PSU, instead of drawing cool air from outside the case in to cool the PSU, both methods work fine. It's only a problem for Joey if he accidentally mounted his PSU down in a case like that.
For music, I recommend Electric Light Orchestra. They're mostly known for "Mr. Blue Sky." But all their music is incredible. Specifically, I would recommend checking out their album called "Time" it's one of my favorite albums, and you might recognize the first song called "Twilight" as the song used in the Daicon IV opening.
as a statue "stand" try looking for hexagonal aquarium stand they can withstand a lot of weight and some looks good too (and work as a shelf / cabinet too)
If you're into Japanese Fusion Jazz, you might have listened to Casiopea or T-Square, they're legendary. DEZOLVE is another band with a more modern take in the genre that you should listen to, they are absolutely amazing.
Question, because I've watched Sharla vids on how she had to wear headphones to practice piano, are your walls in this new place thick where you won't have to worry about neighbors when playing music? Honestly curious. That's what I hate with apartments
Wonder if you've ever heard of "Mass of the Fermenting Dregs" or "Masudregu", my personal favorites are: "Mass of the Fermenting Dregs" (same title as the band name) and "World is Yours". I would describe them very briefly as a Japanese Punk Rock Band, with heavy emphasis on guitar and great head-bopping beats. Hope you enjoy the recommendation!
Loves the new office update! , I suggest A transparent Acrylic stand table, at that corner where you put your berserk figure. So still looks clean but not messy. *you can do custom one* too
Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise is an absolute hidden gem of an album that I consider to be the king of all prog and symphonic rock. Hope you all give it a chance and a listen.
I always knew you have a great taste in music. When it comes to recommendations, I'd like to share with you some of my favourite native, Polish artists and records: - Riverside (art rock) - "Love, Fear and the Time Machine" - Lunatic Soul (experimental/ambient/rock) - "Fractured" - Republika (Talking Heads meets Jethro Tull) - "Nieustanne tango" - Obywatel G.C. (post punk/electronic) - "Tak Tak" - Myslovitz (shoegaze/alternative) - "Nieważne jak wysoko jesteśmy..." - Bass Astral x Igo (electronica/dance/orchestral) - "Orell" (probably the best sounding record I've ever heard) - Krzysztof Zalewski (seems like he is like Poland's Peter Gabriel) - "Zabawa" And something foreign: - Kino (Russian post punk/new wave) - "Posledniy geroy (Последний герой)" I know that's a lot of records and you probably don't care but maybe some other viewer will stumble upon this comment and will find themselves interested. Anyway, thank You for your videos, Joey!
room acoustics tips: for an ideal control setup one would deaden the front of the room with sound damping, liven the back of the room with diffusers(don't really want a bunch of those toward the front, it makes the sound bounce more, versus dampening which eats up the sound waves). The reason only having a few pieces of acoustic foam won't do shit is that those are diffusers at the front of your control area, and absorbers would have to be placed strategically with regard to where the ports of your speakers are facing or how you have your recording gear set up positionally inside of that space. You could use 2-4 absorbers behind each speaker, and at level with your speakers or mic in every right angle in the room for a nice dead room for doing streaming recording and shit and save a lil money and time. -free tips, some people have paid for in the past
Keep these videos coming man! I love that you decided to post here so we can just see more IRL stuff rather than your usual high end content! Love both the channels though so keep up the great work!
When you say that amplifier is the perfect fit for that shelf you weren’t kidding. I 100% thought that was one solid piece until you pointed it out lol
Re new music, not sure if you’ll be able to find them on vinyl, but anything by The Tea Party (Transmission and Splendour Solis are my faves) is highly recommended!
Would love to see your record collection man. I’m a real fan of atmospheric music, so anything that can set a mood in the room without being distracting. I really enjoy albums like, “The World is a Bell” by The Leaf Library and “Conversation” by Woman’s Hour. You can just zone out, read, really do anything while being wrapped in sound.
That shelf you’re throwing away looks like it’s in really good condition, maybe try FB market place and see if anyone will take it? (If that’s a thing in Japan). Seems like a waste to just throw it out!
"can't see up an office in 3 weeks" Bet joey. My office is two fold our desks and a fold out chair with a computer. 30 minute set up. Min maxing like a true monkey!
Glassbox Collection is dedicated for making glass casings for PVC statues. Tho the ideal is to look for a local glassware that customizes glass cabinets. In my case I do the latter.
Hey Joey, what's the specific model of your record cabinet? Been living with milk crates for a while now and I love how yours allow you to display records.
Now that you have a great record player and amp, you should totally invest in better heeadphones! Something that will bring out the nuances in your music better than the ATMX50s can. Great setup overall! cheers
I know right?! I saw the M50X and just cringed. Maybe should've gotten a Fostex T50RP mk3s or some Hifiman Sundara. Both works with the honking amp he has! That said, he has a pair of speakers coming, so maybe that's more his jam.
If anyone is looking for sauce on the Poster from Visual Arts. Its from Summer Pockets. Beautiful Visual Novel. Her Voice actor is Chika from Kaguya sama.
Really obscure band you might like based on the brief showing of your albums is Grim Tower (start with Soft Seance and Reign Down) - available on Spotify. Noticed you like Pink Floyd. People usually dramatically sleep on Roger Waters' solo stuff. Amused to Death is a masterpiece that can go alongside many PF albums, and his latest effort "Is this the life we really want?" is a f'n good album reminiscent of The Wall.
You need some carpets or sound proof stuff. Still have to see the video but that is one of the things I noticed in the last one that were missing Edit: fuck yeah you got the carpet
Dude should totally check out the new album coming out I think September 10th by amyl and the sniffers. I think it’s called “comfort to me” though you might need to import it from Australia. Another recommendation which I’d say is the higher recommendation is Jim Croce and his album “you don’t mess around with Jim” has memorable songs like “time in a bottle”, “ operator”, and “ you don’t mess around with Jim”.
for the Berserk statue, you might be able to get a bird bath that is heavy enough to hold it up with the plus side of it looking like a classical column. An extension of the statue if you will.
Seeing thise record collection, it reminded me something - When will be the next MMTISTY video Joey. We've all been waiting for it (and me with the new Tool album Fear Innoculum in particular since it finally came iut 13 years later)
What's up Joey? Some music recommendations. Jazz. 1. Weather Report - Black Market 2. Snarky Puppy - Live at the Royal Albert Hall 3. Polar Bear - Held in the Tips of Fingers 4. Miles Davis - Jack Johnson 5. Chick Corea - Chinese Butterfly Rock. 1. Dee Snider's new album 2. Renaissance - Live at Carneige Hall 3. Cats in Space - Atlantis 4. Thunder Horse's new album 5. Rainbow - Rising (mainly for Stargazer, an absolute epic).
My music recommendation, especially if you would like to test the capabilities of your new sound system, would be basically anything by Steely Dan. Incredibly well crafted and recorded stuff thats quite unique in its style. The Royal Scam and Gaucho are probably two of my personal favourite records, but anything by them is basically pure gold.
I dont know how rare their records are but Voxtrot - Raised by Wolves is a great start to the band. they disbanded in 2010 but their music is timeless.
You asked for music recommendations I don’t know what genre you like so I will go with blues and folk Leadbelly (known for inspiring Nirvana, Bob Dylan, The Beatles), Pete Seeger (probably one of the greatest folk singers ever), Woodie Guthrie (known for writing this land is your land), Elisabeth Cotten (was a finger style guitar who played upside down fingers hit bass while thumb played melody)
Judging from what I saw of your vinyl collection, you might want to check out Iron and Wine "The Shepherd's Dog". It's a cross between The Beatles' Revolver and REM's Fables Of The Reconstruction. It is really an album you should listen to - many many many times. Boy With A Coin will catch your attention but the entirety is brilliant!
For the Berserk statue you could look into those classic columns used for vases, the roman looking ones. A stone one especially should be able to hold the weight if they're made to hold ceramic vases too
For the berserk statue, just get a round stool. It relatively cheap to buy than any specific shelves or stand for it. Also since its common furniture, you can find variety of design n prices from your local furniture stores or even online.
Album reccomendation: Night lights- jerry mullagan. Amazing jazz album featuring the GOAT baritone saxophone player. As well as a super well produced album with amazing sounds.
I do have a few music you might enjoy if your into the somewhat metal scene. That has technical style. Band: Shadow of intent - Melancholy Band: Suicide silence - the black crown Band: walking dead on broadway - dead end utopia
I love seeing how you decorate your space. :) It's awesome. Since I live with my folks currently my room is as decked out as it can be. Also check out the Wombats and Fits and the Tantrums. They are definitely some of my favorite bands.
I recommend the album "Sheer Heart Attack" it is one of my favorite albums, (aside of "Jazz", "A Night at the Opera" and "Innuendo" ) the album also has my favorite song "Brighton Rock", but of you are looking for the SONG "Sheer Heart Attack" get the album "News of the World".
Music to check out: Royal Blood - how did we get so dark? Manchester orchestra - cope Mike shinoda - post traumatic Magic sword - vol 1 The Black keys - El Camino Angels and airwaves - the dream walker Coheed and Cambria - in keeping secrets of silent Earth 3
I would love to see a video about your record collection. My personal recommendation for music to listen to would be Yamashita Tatsuro, 山下 達郎. I'm sure you could find many of his records in japan!
It looks like there's a little bit of room beneath the guts statue that's between the floor and the raised base. Maybe you could put the statue up on a small circular table, and have a light source under the statue in that small space? It could be like an LED one that changes colors and you could turn it on/off remotely. Would be a nice corner piece and it'd have utility via the light if you can find one that fits under it. Also, you could get a table that has an additional shelf below the mains surface so you could store other stuff beneath it too. Just a suggestion though, good luck with your interior designing!
Joey showing the green tea has just caused me to remember Douluo Dalu (Soul Land): The Animation’s out of place, mid-episode advertisements for the sake of their sponsorship with a brand of green tea. (Please help with reminding me of the name.)
8:23 Records I recommend are Envy - Insomniac Dose, Old silver key - Tales of wanderings, Alcest - Souvenirs d'un auntre monde, Amesoeurs - Amesoueurs, Lantlos - Neon, Deafheaven - Roads to Judah, ラックライフ - Life is Beautiful, Vampillia - The divine move, Godspeed you black emperor - Lift your skinny fists like antennas to heaven.
Joe put something underneath your PC. It needs to breath. Putting the PC on carpet is literally the worst thing you can do. Even cardboard putting cart board is better than having it on the carpet. Why don’t you cut up the wood from the table to wanna throw out and build a small stand for it. 10cm above the ground will make wonders for its longevity.
For the love of god cable manage that (small) mess under your desk. If you could cut the desk top and a few support boards you could screw it to whats left of the shelf. Would be a nice place to put the Berserk statue next to the phonograph.
Gauge Means Nothing were a cool japanese screamo band with synths and cutesy clean vocals you should check out! and I'm sure you already know Les Rallizes dénudés but there was a recent pressing of Heavier Than a Death in the Family on red vinyl and it sounds really good!
Some music to add to your collection: Avantasia - The Wicked Symphony Dozer - Through the Eyes of Heathens Greenleaf - Trails & Passes The Sword - Apocryphon Sabaton - Carolus Rex Blind Melon - Blind Melon The Ugly Kings - Of Sins The Vintage Caravan - Voyage Blues Pills - Blues Pills Blue Stahli - Antisleep Vol. 2 Alestorm - Captain Morgans Revenge Aim - Hinterland The Hu - The Gereg Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material Orange Goblin - Time Traveling Blues Orchid - The Mouths of Madness Raveneye - Breaking Out
Vinyl Recommendation: Sturgill Simpson: Sound and Fury Theres also a video movie for it on the US Netflix, has a very "Heavy Metal" vibe to it. Youll love it.
yo the minecraft volumes alpha and beta have really cool looking vinyls that are translucent and stuff. also minecraft has the best of chill beats to study/relax to 24/7
"I only had one monitor, can you imagine?"
My broke ass: Yes, yes I can.
This is definently how it is with me and my friend haha
Yes
I can't even afford a single monitor xD
You need at least 2 for comfort, the second one don't need to be expensive. I hope you can afford one soon!
i dont even have a monitor or a pc
he's gonna "gift" that old desk to Connor LOL
Are you that guy from The Cube SMP
You watch Joey Rage never knew
Full of roaches so that Connor's nightmare saga with thrifted items continues, XD!
I think he mentioned that he was already on the way of getting rid of it.

Yeah tbh
Just like how nice everything fits and how you have your items displayed. Very clean
And then there's guts sitting there in the corner, big sad.
Some vinyl recommendations from a Japanese jazz and city-pop fan:
- Takako Mamyia: Love trip
- Kiyoshi Sugimoto: L.A. Master (the track "I'm blind to all but you" is truly magical)
Hope you like these records!

Love Trip is so chill and emotional too at times. Chinese Restaurant 🤟
Also might I add, Anri's 1983 album, "Timely!!" (タイムリー). Definitely a City Pop classic!
And also Ryo Fukui's "Scenery" (シーナリィ) is an amazing Japanese jazz album!
Leabing my comment here
Twin Fantasy(Face to Face) by Car Seat Headrest is my recommendation.
Or just listen to "Bodys" from the same band. Trust me guys, you'll love it
You know the tour is already great when you already started showing off shinobu
A wooden log of similar diameter would fit that Berserk statue well.
try legendary displays they make them for giant collectibles was thinking about getting one for my Evangelion one!
Yeah that might be good
moducase is better imo
wich evangelion figure
Get the Nectar by Joji record while it's still available.
Joey's mousepad maybe the most cultured thing I have seen from him yet
I was going to say the same thing
Have you seen he's twitter? That shit cultured af
Could anybody make out who the mousepad was of? My eyesight is shit lmao

I always knew you have a great taste in music. When it comes to recommendations, I'd like to share with you some of my favourite native, Polish artists and records:

try looking for a piedistal in a garden store, one of those that are meant for big and heavy pots. I recon that should work for the figurine. :)

I would love to see a video about your record collection. My personal recommendation for music to listen to would be Yamashita Tatsuro, 山下 達郎. I'm sure you could find many of his records in japan!
turntable is easily the coolest part
That's really fantastic with what you did with your space. My room is my office were I have my gaming PC set up, art books and the place I crash too.
It might take up some space, but the room needs a couch beside the turntable. There's something about a dim room, music and couches man.
I can go on and on.
4:25 "Shure smb7" "XML microphone" the audio engineer in me is crying!! 😭
Remove protective film, Remove protective film, Remove protective film!
If your carpet is too high, sometimes using washers on the door hinges can make it work.

Haven’t finished the video but already super jealous of the metaphorical music vinyl
