Main Topic: If Wrath of the machine came back with Fallen enemies instead of SIVA ones, would you accept it that way?
Vosik and Aksis would of course remain SIVA. The responses were very interesting so I figured this would be a spicy way to start these community videos. These videos are more so meant for you to have on in the background and to give everyone a chance to be heard, so they won't be quite as heavily edited. 6:47 you got them mixed up. The descendant (darker) vex come from the future. Precursor (white & gold) are past. Also they didn't add back the Venus vex either.

Bungie kept making SIVA themed ornaments for several seasons up to this point. Plus there’s no way they would gloss over the Season of the Plague fan made event. Not bringing back Wrath of The Machine would be wasted potential
Honestly outside of the animations the devil splicers are on the easier side of the models they need to remake. You only really need 4 models outside of the bosses: Dreg, Vandal, Captain, and Servitor. The environmental models seem so much more daunting to remake. (Also they can bring back Crota almost whenever they want cause most of the important aspects of the raid have been reused in some in D2)

they would also need to re-model there weapons, grenades and their respective particle effects as I'm pretty sure they don't exist in the game yet. Though its possible outbreak perfected's bullet effect may be a decent fit for the gun effects.
@@ScrawnyClownSnatch I was sort of including that in the enemy models but that is a fair point. Although those should be simpler cause the weapons were remodels. Edit: looking at screenshots of them with their weapons it looks like the devil splicers just used standard fallen unit weapons
Too much work for them. The hive and vex were even easier and they didn’t do it for either of the reprised raids 😢

The shiny, Precursor Vex are actually from the past. The rusty, Descendants are the Future Vex.
It’s due to how their metal frames would “rust” over time.
Not that it really made a difference to the argument here.

Bringing back siva variant strikes, like the siva version of sepiks could be a good way to use siva assets other than WOTM while also not making a siva story (and they could use the sepiks redux music for the non nightfall version)
Bungie 100% never said they are going to bring back all of the destiny 1 raids before any destiny 2 ones. It has never been brought up on any post, video, or article that I have found and I look at this topic a ton and people have been going back to the original post about reprised raids and there isn't anything there that says this or that the reprised raid will even be a d1 raid and has been clarified that it could be a destiny 2 raid not specifically a destiny 1 raid.
I would love for Wrath to come back, but honestly, from a story perspective it should be Levi. Leviathan is hovering over Moon rn and that begs for questions from new lights
If I remember correctly from Rise of Iron, we might have destroyed the chamber, but the splicers still had the tech they got beforehand. So if they stumble across a warmind bunker, they might be able to restore SIVA. But considering that bungie themselves said that it ended in Rise of Iron, this probably won't happen.
I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly but I think one of the devs mentioned that if Crota's end would come back (in it's original state) it'd be in the form of a dungeon so if they where to massively rework Crota's end to bring it up to current raid standards it be a comparable workload to creating a Wrath of the Machine raid.

I have a perfect way to bring SIVA and SIVA fallen back without it being used story wise: Update Dares of Eternity to have splicer fallen, and replace the final fallen boss be replaced with that one strike boss from rise of iron that uses the torn out eye of that ogre.
I'm sick asf in my bed, flooded in nausea and pain, but watching this (while sipping Pepto) made me giggle and feel much better. In my head.

Hey just so you know, almost all of the D1 reprised stuff was JUST for Kings Fall last August, there’s very little info on anything about this reprised raid other than there will be a raid. Imo i want, and it would be better, if it was WotM, but it feels more likely to be Levi, what with almost every Levi asset being in game post Shadowkeep with Haunted. Also, combined arms it LITERALLY THE MOST FREE WIN BUNGIE COULD EVER HAVE, as it requires almost no balancing at all, cus that’s kinda the point.
Also, I think it was “we want to bring back all the big raids”, so not necessary’s wrath.

The problem with a raid exotic tied to Wrath is the fact that it also hints at Leviathan because of Acrius. I really want to believe Wrath comes back this year i feel like their going to stay with the vibe of the year which is calus’ army. Still hoping it’s Wrath praying on my hands and knees🤞.
I think they'd just take Acrius out of the kiosk though, although of course I don't know for certain.

How about this: like in Grasp or King's Fall, it starts off with regular Fallen with a few Siva variants (like captains) and as you get farther into it, more and more Siva appears? Probs not, but I think that it'd be a good way of working it out.
What's the point? You will have to remake the characters, regardless if you use them 5 or 500 times. That doesn't matter at all
To be completely honest, I would rather not have Wrath return than have a scorn version of it. Scorn has always been my least liked enemy type, and I feel like it’s the complete opposite of what Siva is (think Technology vs Barbarism) and what the feel/aesthetic/vibe of Wrath is
I think bungie might struggle to make new siva fallen ( AI and all) along with a brand new exotic with an entire raid that isn’t tied to a DLC unfortunately
Imo they will either go all out with new Siva fallen or might use the DSC fallen with maybe a red theming and not a white one

Something I thought (and idk if this'll be brought up) is that with Strand, we got unraveling rounds which really reminded me of the Nanites Outbreak can spawn in. Just something I saw and thought was siva like.
I think a SIVA heavy machine gun would be really neat for a raid exotic instead of another kinetic weapon.

The new ornament for outbreak perfected (WOtM raid exotic if you didn’t know already) is called archon prime which i think is a clear teaser for wrath coming back. The final boss is literally called axis archon prime.
I think if wrath was to come back it’s exotic would be young wolf’s howl, the exotic sword from the rise of iron campaign

God, I was so happy for the Vex Mythoclast clip. I haven't done 117 runs to get mine, but I've done near to 60, including Flawless and the whole title, with Vex literally being my last thing to unlock said title. I can understand the pain that man must have been through.
6:52 they *did* bring back the vex models from D1, if you compare the crowns, the reprised vex have smaller crowns while the D2 vex have wider crowns

Hoping that when they reintroduce the raid ornaments when the final shape drops as things stand it’s still not worthwhile to do master raid runs fully, just hop in for weekly challenge on chars, run final boss and spend raid coins for different roles

I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading something about Bungie talking about introducing a new SIVA themed exotic for a reprised WotM due to Outbreak being back in D2 already.

Old stories need to end for new ones to begin. If they bring it back, what if they change some part of it and make them a new villain that we have to deal with throughout the future. Maybe Eramis starts using S.I.V.A?

remake raids aren't attached to the story.
Not to sound picky or anything, but you mistaken the precursor vex and decendant vex design wise.
The precursor vex are the white and gold with the blue lights (I know people mistaken them because they look clean and futuristic but that's not the case).
The Decendant vex are the green and brown variants with the yellow eyes and disk-shaped heads.
Also one thing to mention that Bungie has added in Vault of glass is that there's one special enemy that shows up randomly among the droves of vex in the first encounter (confluxes), a single regular goblin with a line rifle that has the original D1 Vex design look!
It's crazy how people miss a small detail but really cool too
18:40 I think it would be funny. As unlikely as it would be I thought of a funny exotic concept which was a sidearm that would change gun variants the more kills you got with it. It would start as a sidearm and then upgrade to say like a SMG and then eventually an auto rifle. It would never happen because that seems both impractical and really intensive but I think the idea of a SIVA gun that literally enhanced itself as you used it would be fun.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about wrath and about SIVA in general. I am a diehard for that whole aesthetic and I loved it to death. Wrath of the Machine was my first raid that I ever did in D1 as I was always a bit of a solo player at the time. However, my brother ran me through it with his clan and honestly, I don't regret never playing the other originals. I have played the remasters since they've released but Wrath will always be my raid. I understand if it never comes to see the light of day again just as SIVA has kind of been done away with. I would relish every moment of it though would it come to pass. Rose colored glasses or not, I believe remembering something out of love and sheer enjoyment is better than remembering something for being a drag.
I think like, an exotic machine gun with siva could be cool like outbreak perfected on crack, outbreak unleashed if you will, or like the weapon of aksis or voksis like we start shooting their projectiles, could be neat

Remember, SIVA was transported in the exodus black and other colony ships. It’s still out there somewhere. But Bungie did say SIVA is done but I hold a lil hope 😢

I think it’s Crotas end. Bungie hinted at also releasing a returning exotic and we already have outbreak. Necrochasm could be a random drop or quest after completion. They already have the Hive assets like Kings Fall and it doesn’t impede story. I’d personally love to see a revamped Crotas End where we don’t have the ease of the bridge skip and ledge strat. If it does return I hope to actually be able to fight a boss worthy of being called The Son Of Oryx, but that’s just my opinion
We really need a season on nessus where failsafe actually does stuff and heavily involves siva, as there is siva on the exodus black.
One thing I saw that might move the needle - While it might be a little odd for two of the reprised raids to be hive back to back (aka back to back hive f2p raids), in terms of raids in general if leviathan came back it would be back to back cabal raids. Nezarec is shadow legion themed and Calus is loyalist themed, aka proto-shadow legion. Seems like it might be pretty repetitive to me, at least, for both the power level relevant raids to be the same enemy type.
They also have been remastering a fair bit of crota. Besides the moon and him being reused as a nightmare, the lightfall strike has the lanturn mechanic. Its probably easier to say what about crota isnt in the game if they wanted to pull that trigger.

The intresting thing is (if i remember correct) siva was actually designed in Destiny 2 engine which is why rise of iron was exclusive to the at the time next gen consoles so siva splicers would theoretically work in Destiny 2

I have a theory but I’m not really sure about it, they might bring back scourge of the past because in the LF trailer 6 guardians spawned in neomuna so it might be a hint(a city same vibes as scouring), but some sources say that bungie themselves haven’t decided on what raid is coming back.

When WotM makes its return, looking at the line-up current Warmind weaponry, I think it could be a scout, maybe a sniper or aggressive linear.
and if they added back the SIVA stuff, they could make a heroic version of the "Devil's Lair" strike and potentially bring back other vaulted strikes such as "the Abomination heist" and "The Shadow Theif" strikes (they could even make them Nightmare versions if ppl wanted them to be cannon)

Shot in the dark and a very out of pocket idea, but Croats end with a little bit of lucent hive in there, kinda throw something new and combine past and present
On the topic of the crota raid bungie said they wanted to really take their time with it, so we probably won’t see it until mid season of Final shape which will tie it to the story since and this is a huge leap i feel like Savathuan would need to come back in the story for it to really feel like a proper conclusion. In regards to the Siva Raid. The best option which would be the hardest would be to use Siva as an excuse to bring in a new enemy type. Like Zombie Guardians or Parasite type monsters. Giving a big branch way to future stories and a new subclass. Realistically theres not much Bungie can do if the want to stay true to the Siva story. Theres really only two ways they can go the previously mentioned “new” enemy type or just throwing away the experience for the sake of “story”

In terms of exotics for Wrath, either the Rise of Iron sword or exotic Khovostov would be fun and fit the original release
In d2 vog there are copied d1 assets outside of the playable area. Additionally, in the 1 encounter area d1 vex will sometimes spawn. This means that it may be possible for them to literally copy and paste siva assets.
I can see a Khovostov exotic version that spawns a SIVA Core that can be thrown at enemies that explode into SIVA Nanites,
It is kind of like a Ruinous Effigy, but Khovostov remaster
Also, Outbreak Perfected has a difference in the Nanites, I noticed that they now travel instead of a Cloud of Particulals... I'm talking about when no enemies to kill afterward
Back before King's Fall got reprised, I used to jokingly tell my clan mates that the next reprised raid is going to be Crota's End & the exotic linked to it will be the Necrochasm.
Now as time has moved on, this seems more likely than WoTM.
Think about it, Crota's mechanics are pretty much ready in the game thanks to Dares Of Eternity and the Nightmare hunt/final campaign mission for Shadowkeep.
Maybe I'm just clutching at straws, but it's worth a thought.

I did it this week on d1 so I want it to back over crota because it had more mechanics and was just a more fun raid unless they add more to crota witch would be a lot of work
I would love a leviathan remake where we enter the derelict and it's filled with shadow legion - basically, there's something in the leviathan that we want to find that the witness/shadow legion/anyone else wants to find as well (makes sense, considering the massive distances and number of planets the leviathan traveled and ate) and were forced to play a remade game show where, instead of trying to have a fun time and watch a game show, calus (or rather, calus before he died) is explicitly trying to kill us after season of the haunted - just an idea, though
The Leviathan can ONLY come back if the raid lairs are put back into the Leviathan raid. Imagine ripping bosses out of raid and then shipping those boss encounters as raid lairs. Robbery
Hear me out we get an exotic khovostov that comes with a quest that through doing puzzles in the raid so that you can unlock different attachments for it kind of like revision zero but they are changeable from an gunsmith screen in your inventory
SIVA fallen (vandals and captains specifically) also had smaller crit boxes. If you hit the black helmet, it would count as a body shot

Wrath of the Machine is hands down my favorite raid in all of Destiny. I haven't found that love and passion for any of the Destiny 2 raids as much as I did for Wrath of the Machine. The return of this raid would be the sole reason I come back to play Destiny 2.

I would like to make a small correction with the VoG section. While the 3 variants of vex is true, they are reused, there is 1 model you missed. There's a D1 vex model that has the same attack as the hobgoblins. Other than that, amazing video!
You know what else the SIVA variants did that increased the challenge, apart from the seekers when you headshot them? Those goddamn grenades the dregs used to throw. They made dregs so much of a threat that they caused an embarrassing number of wipes to my team in the start of the siege engine encounter
I hope they do bring it back, the assets could be used to make a final SIVA/Rasputin season where the Vanguard is in such a dire situation we decide to dig up SIVA with Rasputin's remnants in tow to try and tame it and/or link it to Neomuna as the predecessor of Neomuni Nanites and make it story relevant somehow.
I hope wrath comes back because I am in love with outbreak perfected, also it is a way to re introduce Rasputin for the seraph misssion coming back in season 22

my only issue for wrath to come back is what the raid exotic is since we already have outbreak. This is a reasoning they would have to not go with wrath on top of the other reasons (enemy type, environment). They would be inclined to do crota's end since we have majority of the assets already in the game.
Bungie has never stated that they will bring back raids in order my theory for the Reprised raid is that SoTP will return due to the raid shader being bergusia night is the only raid shader that Shada-1 can/does sell at this current point in time

To make Vault actually possible i will let you use your entire arsenal in the vault encounter only as long as Wish Ender is still in the loadout
Also you must do Riven legit with only Wish Ender
Any kind of raid mechanic like Eye of Riven attacks will not disqualify the run because obviously

I rarely dip my toe into crucible but like in most pvp stuff I delve into I much prefer fun or goofy shit as opposed to sweating my deck off just to keep up
