obviously, something behind the scenes was going on. I’m sure angelos was looking for a reason to suspend the guy because of a personal issue. Which doesn’t exactly make it any better.
The orioles are like the person who has only been in toxic relationships. They finally get in a good relationship and they're like nah this is too calm and predictable I need some craziness I'll make my own
Could you PLEASE do a video on how Peter Angelos hamstrung the Nationals and their TV deal? The Nats have not been able to make any money from a TV deal since their inception in 2005.
If the game is fixed you would see things just like this, that do not make any sense. Also it seems like someone that isn’t playing on the team wants negative attention thrown towards the positive things they’re doing this year. If I had to guess , it’s someone that wants the O’s to lose so they can gain more power or wealth. Keep your eyes peeled for stuff like this and it will be easier to discover the corruption in the game we all love. Godbless.
No, rich people are often just not nearly as intelligent as people think they are. They do incredibly dumb stuff for the sake of their ego/their very uninformed idea of what’s financially smart for them. Case in point, elon musk and everything he’s done with twitter. If they really wanted to fix the games there’s so much they could do that wouldn’t hurt the fan’s goodwill with the team, whereas here while this is obviously a bad pr move I’m not sure how much it actually affects the orioles winning chances. TLDR: rich people are often stupid
If Kevin Brown was black you know people would be saying he got fired because of racism. It's just so easy to make things about race when the person that gets shafted is not white. Whatever the Orioles front office has been tripping on for past few decades needs to be taken care of ASAP. I'm not an Oriels fan however as a SF Giants fan and fan of baseball in general I know that this type of distraction is not welcome especial when your team is having a good year.
There's got to be something else to it, like something he was told not to mention or emphasize and he did anyway. Either way I don't see how anybody would get suspended over that
That's what a normal, rational person would think, and I don't blame you. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The Angelos family are probably the most greedy, toxic, childish, petulant owners in all of sports. They did the same thing to Jon Miller in the 90s for not being 'rah-rah' about mediocre Orioles teams. They fired their stadium PA announcer just before a game a couple years ago for Tweeting he was 'happy to be back with fans' (because, you know, Covid). Britt Ghiroli detailed in her article on this what Baltimore fans have dealt with for over 30 years now: the toxic culture that speaking about the past or presenting the team in any kind of light that isn't completely positive or could even be remotely construed as negative or critical will incite the fury of the owners because they believe it makes them look bad and 'cheap'. Spoiler alert: it does because they are.
If he was told (ordered) not to report what he did he should be FIRED. When an employee disobeys orders it is grounds for getting fired. Do not agree with what happened if it happened as being reported.
Showing the mets broadcast is just rubbing salt in the wound lol. Far and away the best booth in the game, and I'm an NL west fan. Darling, Cohen, and Hernandez are never afraid to say it like it is.

I’m a Nats fan, but I still think O’s fans deserve better than the Angelos clan. Bush league move by the owner. He was afraid of looking cheap? Bro, that ship sailed a long time ago. FWIW I thought getting rid of Jon Miller was bush league as well. He was a pleasure to listen to before baseball came back to DC and gave fans in the suburbs a choice.
As a Reds fan, the amount of times Marty Brenneman bashed the Reds were countless. Miss him and the old left-hander. This is ridiculously absurd to suspend him. Appreciate the video

The best part he said that on a pre-game show that so few people watched and would even remember but now everybody in the league knows about how bad they've been against Tampa Bay.
I'm glad you noted the prior issues with the Angelos, John and Peter trying to control the commentary about the team. They are extremely controlling for everything that is said about this team. Even while they failed to spend any money, let all their stars walk while signing washed up vets for the last year of their career (Sammy Sosa anyone?) and any dissenting thoughts were crushed by ownership. They even cut out one of the sports talk radio stations from having any media access since they spoke the truth during the nearly 40 year World Series drought. The Angelos need to go. The Orioles are winning despite the ownership.

I'm a Houston Astros fan, but this was insane. I actually enjoyed listening to him! Think he did a fine job! We support you Kevin! Stuff like this, unfortunately, is the only ill will the league would feel against the Orioles organization (as you mention). Very sad, because they deserve all the love they can get.
I am not a lawyer, but would it not be within his rights to sue the organization for firing him and only him? If it was in the notes and the production team made a graphic, and only he got fired, could he not sue for some sort of discrimination or anything?
They even had the graphist on board !!
At times,I wish fans could fire owners. As a METS fan,I thank GOD we finally have a great one in Steve Cohen. GOD BLESS HIM❤🙏🏾.
More proof that just because somebody in a suit has money it doesn't mean they know what the hell they're doing.
obviously, something behind the scenes was going on. I’m sure angelos was looking for a reason to suspend the guy because of a personal issue. Which doesn’t exactly make it any better.
The orioles are like the person who has only been in toxic relationships. They finally get in a good relationship and they're like nah this is too calm and predictable I need some craziness I'll make my own
Sounds like my sister and the rest of her family members feel the burden more than her
the owners or whatever are apparently denying that this happened...ok...then why was he suspended?
He just spoke over a game note. If he was suspended, I wonder what happened to the person responsible for the game note?
As a Yankees fan I am at a loss for words for why ownership would be upset especially when the team is playing well.
imagine firing someone for literally doing their job properly lmao
At least the video wasn't about everyone fighting for control over the team again. That's something of a positive.
You literally just described the plot to "Major League" from 1989.
Wow! Jon Miller is a broadcasting god! Great voice and great play-by-play! Used to love him on Sunday Night Baseball with Joe Morgan. Adios pelota!!
You're not considering the dysfunctional Angelos family. Peter is still alive, but his sons and second wife are battling for control.
Showing the mets broadcast is just rubbing salt in the wound lol. Far and away the best booth in the game, and I'm an NL west fan. Darling, Cohen, and Hernandez are never afraid to say it like it is.
He almost literally described the visual they put up on the screen 📺
The person who made the visual should have added extra nice words to say about those horrid visual facts
On top of all this, you didn’t even mention how John Angelos is being sued by his own brother.
As a Reds fan, the amount of times Marty Brenneman bashed the Reds were countless.
Miss him and the old left-hander.
This is ridiculously absurd to suspend him. Appreciate the video
Now that’s an easy way to get all baseball fans to root against the Orioles now. Good job.
Geez, that was one of the best openings to a broadcast I've heard. Suspended for what?
I'm SO happy other broadcasters from all over the league are defending Kevin Brown. Baltimore ownership got a taste of success for once and let it get into their head. Shame
Reinstate Kevin, it's not like O's fans don't know Angelos is cheap! Don't shoot the messenger!
Play by play announcer- this could be the first time we can beat this team at this their ballpark which is impressive. Orioles owner- your suspended
I didn’t know this about John miller. I lived in SF for a bit and really enjoyed listening to his broadcasts
The time honored Orioles tradition of hating the Angelos'.
Each and every one of them. My God, they are a nuisance 🤦🏾
The best part he said that on a pre-game show that so few people watched and would even remember but now everybody in the league knows about how bad they've been against Tampa Bay.
This isn't "stupid." This is straight up nefarious. Oh, Angelo is a liberal? You're kidding!
