They really had to bury that. It arguably derailed both of their careers, garcía went from bein compared to a young miguel cabrera as a natural talent to bouncing around, prince's back became damningly the end of his career in texas.
What’s interesting is that a former Dodger told me personally that Puig was actually really liked. I'm incredibly biased as a Phillies fan, but always thought Todd Frazier was an absolute jerk. Always chirping for no reason and never seemed to back it up. I buy Eaton's story.
He was an all-star level player during the regular season for the Tigers, but he stunk during the postseason & had a viral baserunning gaffe too. Then had an interview after the season where he said in plain English that he doesn’t care what the fans think. It was an absolute Houdini act by Dombrowski to move Fielder and his contract at that point at all, let alone for lan Kinsler who was a solid player. With Fielder at 1b, and Cabrera at 3B that infield defense was atrocious. Plus rhe fact they also had SS Jhonny "i have the range of a 3B, but i keep playing SS, anyway" Peralta and Ryan "i'm an outfielder, not a 2b" Raburn to round up the infield it was all-time mess. You missed the best one: I'm pretty sure Eckersley was none too happy when he found out his "best friend" Rick Manning was banging his wife.
