" on behalf of Norwegian"
I think you made a mistake here. Norwegian is an LCC that's operating B737 and B787. Not A380.
@@strawberrypi6174 Yes the flight operated on behalf of Norwegian... listen to the call sign on the video... This is not their A380 but they leased it from HiFly for this flight. Norwegian has leased a lot of A330s, A340s, A380s, B777s etc... to cover flights while their 787s are in engine maintenance.
@@justplanes Doh! Okay!
Ya great video shows the take off at night wtg Genius.
i'm 70 years and i can't believe how far air transport has come. really enjoy the night flight videos
Totally agree with both. It is unfathomable what has been accomplished in about 100+ years
I completely disagree. Air transport progress has been stagnant and largely nonexistent (except in information technology). We fly at the same speed we did in the late 1950's. We all expected supersonic to become the standard, with speeds in the 2M-3M range. Alas, that did not happen.
@@ProxodilMimo completely wrong and so so clueless
@Khusro Murza your comment isn't revelant to the original one
Eu também aprecio estes tipos de vídeos. Dá uma agradável sensação de está dentro desta cabine aérea ( cockpit ) .
Been aboard an A380 twice... there is no other plane like it! The most comfortable flight I have ever had.. this big machine is remarkable!
You have 135 likes reminder 3 yrs later Fly Emirates fly better
I been one 1 time about to be 2 in December
I'm amazed at how much technical training today's pilots have to master to get these complex machines off and on the ground. I have the highest respect for these professionals.
Procedures procedures and procedures all to guetantee flight safety for your own but especially other aircraft with whom you share the skies.
@John B pilots are there for takeoff and landings ..... once in the air its 98 percent computers.... so yes planes do fly themselves seeing how the plane isn't flying until it takes off....
@John B they literally switched it to autopilot 3 seconds after take off.... watch the video before you make another uneducated comment
J p LMAO its up to the pilot flying how much flying he does e.g. watch FLy JVs latest video, A320, goes no autopilot or auto throttle for the last 8000 feet , and dont forget all the training and experiance it takes to get to a big Jet like the a380. They are not like bus drivers, they go through rigorous training and retraining to be able to qualify to fly the big passenger jet. Yes the planes can fly themselves, but they have to calculate fuel , enter routes, monitor ATC, plan for weather deal with delays etc etc. SO dont go around calling people uneducated, have respect for every profession, treat cleaners like CEOs and have a nice day
@@ancicmathews9432 nope! the planes can do all that calculating with the computers ....the fact you think otherwise makes me think you're stupid
A380 must be added as one of the wonders of the world!
It really is... so big and so many parts one wonders how they keep that going!
Sadly it's going the way of the dodo bird and Concord along with the 747 from passenger service. Every airline is converting to twin engines aircraft. I am going to miss the glory days of the 747 and A380 :(
Yeh, but its a bit boring - I prefer more exciting planes myself like the MAX.
Certainly became a piece of industrial archaeology quite rapidly.
@@ph11p3540 the 747 will still be around for quite a long time
Every time we fly, we put our lives at the hands of these two gentlemens at the cockpit of the aeroplanes. More often than not, we take things for granted on the responsibilities these pilots have to shoulder each and every time they fly passengers, especially during takeoffs and landings.
So let me say it, to all the pilots flying people around the world, a big thank you to you all for being professional and making sure we reach our destinations safely.
Very nice take off beautiful
You also put your life in the hands of the engineers that have developed the avionics technology including auto pilot/flight directors, FADEC systems and including the automatic landing system.
@TheKingimport Not all airports have Cat 3 automatic landing systems and never will.
@TheKingimport and if an engine fails, altimeter readings go to hell, or autopilot malfunctions? You people really have no clue what you’re talking about. Idk about you, but I prefer humans overseeing.
I will second to that, although I used to be just a helicopter pilot myself.
Unreal to think that in only 117 years we went from the Wright’s first flight at Kitty Hawk, to this massive jet beast, with it’s glittering ‘spaceship-like’ cockpit, and dazzling views! Simply Extraordinary! Even more stunning to think about what will come next!
Space travel
And only 73 years after Wright Bros (46 years ago), the Concorde was flying people across the Atlantic at more than double this speed! In 1981, the Space Shuttle, an actual spaceship was flying in space at 30x this speed.
It won't be bigger though. This is as big as practically possibel
@@abanlivee Can you imagine? Let’s go!
@@ChatGPT1111 Marvelous!
The A380 is such a marvel what a cool calm and collected professional cockpit crew!

Being an enthusiast who wishes I could go back and become a pilot yet I'm
always still amazed that a gargantuan vehicle like that can fly through the air like a bird..amazing to think about
@@keithfloydjr4014 There's a guy in my groundschool who is 65. He is going to be a flight instructor. Age isn't an excuse
Idk why but I absolutely love flying at night instead of day, there’s a different calmness to it.

Can't believe such a large plane is controlled by a stick throttle. The amount of technology packed in this machine is outstanding!
Beyond incredible. As an aircraft engineer and private pilot, im still in awe
Captain Mirpuri, which is one of the most professional pilot with great experience! As always a nice job!
Totally agreed! One of the most professional pilots we've worked with and you know we've worked with thousands! Also unlimited knowledge about his job and the airplanes he is licensed on!

You are very welcome Steven, thanks for tuning in, watching and commenting!
The captain has really mastered his "pilot's voice". ;)
Randy Levy this is one of the main requirements for being a pilot, it wouldn’t work without it..
Ya
Is he Portuguese? He looks by the accent.
@@thedarkestwhite9460Yes, he is Captain Carlos Mirpuri and also the owner of the airplane
He is Actually Angolan , with Indian descent
Really nice video, amazing all the knowledge the pilots needs to know to manage this big bird! Great to watch Mr. Mirpuri detailing is checks before takeoff!
Thank you Madeira Airport Spotting. Glad you enjoyed the video and he is a great pilot to say the least. I think the first flight we filmed on his old company Air Luxor was to Madeira!
@@justplanes Yes, Air Luxor had lot's of daily flights to Madeira many years ago, was the best airliner flying to Madeira from the mainland by far, nice airplanes, lovely crew, super service, but unfortunately the government-owned TAP made everything for Air Luxor to shut the door and leave Madeira! I will be always pleased with the Mirpuri family for what they tried to do in Madeira!
Beautiful. Hats off to the amazing professionalism of the pilots who have our lives in their hands. Very special people.
The A380 is a beautiful aircraft. Flew in it from London to Dubai. The flight was smooth & very comfortable.
The all around professionalism is astounding. Thank god for them, in the air and on the ground.
They're on camera . Everyone behaves themselves on camera haha.
I am loving the Takeoff 🛫 shown from different Cameras.
Please keep this in all videos, whenever technically possible.🙏🙏

The A380 is an awesome piece of engineering. All of the technologies that have to work in perfect harmony for these things to fly. The pilots are just as impressive.
Absolutely fantastic. I loved watching every second of this. The precision of the check list confirmations makes one feel so reassured and safe.
Excellent POV for a takeoff. Many points and unbelievable view of "la tour Eiffel".

One of the most beautiful take off videos...
Very good video, showing the takeoff procedures from push back all the way to departure... thanks for sharing.
This has made me so sleepy and relaxed... Thank you for that!
I can't even imagine how sleepy pilots must get. Lol
flying over Paris on a clear night is one of the nicest cities to fly over. love it.
Paris is dump.
Absolute respect to the pilots who have the responsibility of so many human souls safety in their hands.
They are Heroes.
"Spooling" is often used in a very general way - as simply allowing an engine to ramp up to speed. But it's actually the pre-take off thrust - to ensure engines on each side of the aircraft are operating in unison. If they did not, the plane would pull to one side. When checked, full take off thrust is applied.
Yes correct.master
Correct good knowledge I hate seeing bad knowledge spread
There is something really satisfying for me in hearing the pre-flight checklist being executed.
Absolutely stunning! Extreme quality in the execution of procedures. Congratulations today and always! 👍
Love the atmosphere with the lights in the cockpit
Captain Mirpuri and his crew make takeoff and flying the A380 look so easy. To me that is the sign of a true professional.
Thank you, Just Planes, for making this video.
8:28 is a sight to behold. The cockpit is beautiful.
Is my childhood dream to be a pilot but at my age now, I've not even tried simulation before. ( West Africa, Ghana). May the universe send a helper my way.

The A380 is truly an aeronautical engineering marvel. I love to fly on board it.
What I always admire about these gentlemen are how they can hear through all the radio disturbances PLUS the thick accents of varying nations they land. I really really need to replay this part 2:41 to catch what ground actually intended to say haha.
"2-7 left OK, sir. Parking brake release, please."
.....absolutely amazing how these guys basically sit back and let the plane fly itself... Amazing!...
A-380 is and will always be a true Aeronautical Engineering Masterpiece! I love flying on that aircraft!
Probably the best cockpit video i have seen
the coolest part about flying is when they put the plane on "parking brake" before the line of the runway and throttle up the engines to "max" power and release the brakes. the plane shakes and the acceleration is awesome, but it's also cool when the pilot already throttles up the engines halfway through the corner heading for the runway and takes off.
I Love the french accent of the Paris CDG air control ❤
2:40 I thought he said the f word
Parking he says..i guess

The A-380 is an incredible aircraft. Thanks for the ride.
This beast of a plane is smooth as butter! So quiet compared to the roar of a GE90 on a 777. 😀
FANTASTIC... Have flown many times on the A380. My favourite plane by far. Privileged to have flown in all cabin classes, including taking a shower at 40,000 ft. 😊

I love how the tablet has 'flights', 'route info' and then 'pubs' ! :)
Lol yeah it's used so much it's practically official terminology now.
Showing some love to everyone who worked to also design and engineer this wonderful creation, absolutely stunning...
I viewed this video in an attempt to overcome my chronic fear of flying.
I don't know if watching this has made me feel better or worse, I felt myself grabbing the sofa in a ridiculous nervous tension as it takes off but these guys are just incredible in every way.
Okay, this is BY FAR thee coolest takeoff video I've seen. Thanks so much for sharing!
Great Eric, glad you enjoyed this one, thanks
Sad that no one ever modelled this beast for any flight sim. Would be a delight to fly this thing
You mean play with all the screens...lol
I just wana sit near the pilot and enjoy the flight 😂❤
Loved this. These guys are so professional. The A380 is a gorgeous aircraft too. Too bad it cost so darn much to operate and is a logistical nightmare to maintain. It's no wonder it had to be discontinued from production. Quite sad, really, because it's such a lovely beast!
I think you are quite wrong, Emirates make this fantastic aircraft work very well!! I've flown the A380 and like virtually everyone who has agree it's the best!!! It's the aircraft that most passengers want but not what the airlines want to give us!!
Such a beautiful machine and better than anything Boeing can offer thrown in!! Long may she grace the sky's.
@Robert Day - I'm not talking about what people want, nor about those who fly them. I'm talking about what it takes to make them keep flying. It's not a plane that just lands anywhere. Huge changes have to be made to airports to accommodate the beast. That means huge amounts of money for airlines and airports. It doesn't take long when researching the platform to see how much a nightmare that really is. I flew on one to Thailand. Loved it. But what me or anyone else thinks or feels about it is immaterial when airports and airlines start crunching numbers for maintenance, upkeep, cost effectiveness, and many other parameters.
@@soujrnr well I am talking about what people want, so we'll leave it there.
Captain's voice is so soothing

The A380 is so fun to use in the simulator, I couldn't even imagine flying this bad boy in real life.

74 tons just hanging out on each of the wings? That's some magical engineering...
He said 7 tons, not 74...
@@meshkovsergeyWatch it again.
@@TheAntiSmug Well, I did and at 0:12 he clearly said "weights about 7 tons and costs around $20M"
@@meshkovsergey I know this because my dad is Senior first officer pilot. 4 engines is 28 tonnes + 260 Tonnes in fuel and the body of the airbus is 287 tonnes so it totals about 575(maximum fuel and full passengers) tons that the wings of airbus have to carry
7 tons PER engine, 260 tons max fuel capacity. He did not mention the max loaded weight of the aircraft. AMAZING numbers any way you look at it!

@Nico Rose Ask Airbus. Hmmmm
@Nico Rose and that's the best you got. Oh my my.
Amazing technology, outstanding piloting skills!
Why does the pilot flying increase the number 2 and 3 engine thrust first at take off and then after a while he sets the thrust on engine 1 and 4?
1&4 are the outermost engine and hence hangs above the grass, thus to prevent sucking in any Grass/FOD they build up speed first with 2/3 (inboard engines) and than increase thrust of 1/4 since at higher speeds it's less likely for the engine to suck in the grass/FOD
Central engines thrust more stable close to main frame then gradual increase of outside engines 1 and 4.
Warren Smith The Airports these planes fly into in Australia all have runways that have been widened with a concrete verge. The wing is just amazing.
@@tituslim4648 Quite a long take off run with the delayed outer engines. And a long interval between V1 and rotate. I wouldn't want that run to be much longer. Yikes!
@@fingerhorn4 not really the captain increased thrust on 1/4 at 40kts and with a heavy aircraft the difference between v1 and rotate speeds would definitely be far but it's still safe the pilots calculate it for every flight/ takeoff
