I don’t know much about this process but I like how you are able to do each step with such simple tools! Could this be done with your round-bottom boiling flask connected to a glass condenser?
May business make things cheap way , I think wee can do it in round bottom flask too using glass condenser .but that be a lot more expensive. I be making nitric acide then I use glass condenser . For mercury metal retort is better gets hot fast and not brekes in peace’s

I can tell u to watch channel opal direct to see some big stuff and the opal mill will teach u how to do something with a dremal tool. (that's how I do it cus I don't have money for the big boy wheels..) just wanted to keep u informed so u don't think I flaked ;)
hello Prof, I tried to make a mercury distillation device at home like Prof did, but when I tested it with water, the water came out seeping from the galvanized dop thread, what's the solution so that mercury vapor doesn't come out of the galvanized dop thread, thank you
ok Prof, does that mean water seepage through the Dop thread cannot be an indication that mercury vapor can pass through because the situation is different or without pressure??

You need maike sealed unit .use plumers puty to seel the treads. Or use your head hou to seel those treads another way you don’t use that device . Mercury is no joke you can die from that. You must make steeled unit and use your head Hou to seel that retort

Was the pipe fittings Galvanized , if they were , then you've got lead fused in your Gold , but you can smelt it and cupel it out . Cheers .
