FlyTrap is a Perfect Name for that Beauty, Well Done Ma’am, Thank You Kindly for having us along. The Pleasure is Truly all Our’s.
Lookout Div, that other driver was on the wrong side of the road! 😂
Furniture polish works great and you get a fresh lemon smell too.
In the same boat as you this week Diff. Tree trimming, roofing an out building and small engine maintainence. Always pours never trickles. Thanks for the update on your GM Advance Design Flytrap. Your wife is a Gem.. You are fortunate to have such a great manager. All the best🏁
Great job on the car wash, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones, have a Lekka one
You have to keep the Minister happy for self preservation. Thanks for another great video Div! 🍺
😂 Yes
More videos of you (maybe together with your Minister of Internal Affairs, whose beautiful helpful hands we previously had an honor to see) riding your jewels to that African forest scenery of yours are just as welcome as those from your good shop!
Rust never sleeps. I bet you're pleased😉
Good to see the ole fly trap again … looking pretty good!
That was a beautiful photo montage especially the one in the sunset. Awesome.
Thanks!
Flytrap is a good name for the old Chevy. The story of were it came from even better. Love that truck. That’s when I came to find your forest workshop and loving every video since. You sir could video all of your maintenance chores and I’d enjoy turning in to come along just as well. Peace ✌🏻
Thanks man🙂
well done Div, yes all these cool vehicles need to be maintained, GO THE FLYTRAP...
Mr Duff yes I watched your build of fly trap very cool build I always enjoy your videos and can't wait to see further building of the Hudson but till next time 👍👍👍👍
Awesome thank you!🙂
I remember Flytraps build. Nice to see her get some attention now and then. Enjoyed this video as always.
Those were some great artistic photos of the truck!
Thank you!
I know what you mean being the only one doing building and property maintenance. When all our kids were still at home, my motto was: "I have five people breaking, and only one guy fixing"! The old Chevy cleaned up real good!
Howzit Div
Fly trap looks lekka 👍🌽
Have a blessed week a head🙌
Greetings Div, Flytrap is looking mighty fine. 👌 Have a Lekka day Boet. 👍👍👍
Thanks! 👍
Fly trap came out awesome the night time pictures just show her off
well done. always a pleasure to see the show
Flytrap is a great name for the truck! The Minister’s got a nice touch. 😁 I’m glad to see the old builds making re-appearances. She’s a beauty for sure. Thanks man, as always! 😊👍👍
Yeah, I also thought she picked a great name. I guess there's a good reason why she is the minister!😂
@@ratrodsafrica wish we could say the same of all the other interior ministers. 😆
My electric pressure washer is dead until you press the trigger. This operates a pressure switch allowing the pump to turn on
Yes, this one is the same. No luck though
The fly trap is rad love that truck
Loved this episode..thanks will check out the build on this..thanks
Dear Dif
👍👌👏 Nice bushman repair job! I watched the whole building series of this fantastic and unique rat rod. Since then I'm totally addicted to your channel. 2) A 4 cylinder with 2.4 l isn't a small engine at all. I bet it's quite torquey, eh?
3) Yeah, you're absolutely right. Even expensive stuff from well known brands seem to have obsolescence built in. Maybe better buy yourself an older but sturdy steam pressure washer!? Or, even better, build yourself a common pressure washer. I bet that you are able to find useable components in scrapyards. I would definitely love to see the worlds first rat rod style pressure washer! 😁 ;-)
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to you, your wife and the pets.
Thanks. Yeah, the engine is quite torquey. It's perfectly good enough. As for building a pressure washer, life's too short, got more important things to do!😄
@@ratrodsafrica
Thanks for replying and especially for giving a heart to my comment. As you know, I always and totally appreciate both very much. 2) Yeah, I can see your point, you're right of course. Maybe it's more important to try to fix bad devices and to be totally annoyed by them than building a sturdy and reliable device yourself!? 👅😋😛😝😜 😁 ;-) You already build some great tools. But okay, Sir, it's of course your decision. I hope that you will be able to find a better product respectively an older and reliable pressure washer.
Sincerely yours.
I just recently found your channel. I love your teaching, expertise and knowledge to build things. You make it simple and easy to follow. Nothing complicated. Since I'm a mechanic of 54 years I'm now like you just building things. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks and welcome to my shop!🙂
I too am the utilities at the ranch. Takes up my time from important stuff like building stuff that’s cool! I empathize!🤪
Exactly!!😄
Hello from Saint John New Brunswick Canada .Great build ..love it
Thanks!
Fly trap is one of the first times I found you Div, it has a special place in my heart. Hope it never gives you trouble Boet and makes you smile when you look at it. Have a lekka one Div
Thanks man. Yeah I like the old truck
Good To See You Duff
i am always amazed at the parts and engineering you build into you rat rods ...using what you can get brilliant
Looks like a new one!!😉
Great job Dif
It's always cool to see you go back to previous builds. I enjoyed watching Flytrap come together when you built it.
The Nissan hard body was known as a D21. The 720 is the previous body with 4 headlights. I love 720s. I've owned like 7 of them, currently halfway through building a quad cab which annoyingly they never sold in the US.
Thanks for the info🙂
Very fun build. I love it.
Awesome brother from another country hope yall have a lekka one brother
Awesome morning brother from another country another awesome adventure with my brother as always !!! Maintenance is part of living brother !!! You are my inspiration to keep going !!! Hope yall are having an awesome day !!! Keeping Ole iron going keeps us going lol !!! We also need a little Maintenance every now and then lol

Love your UA-cam, thank you sir
You are very welcome, thanks!
Those night shots of Flytrap are stunning, beautifully done Sir
Thank you!
absolutely bespokest Bro!
Still a Beauty!
That was a nice detour Div,with a cameo appearance from the Fly-trap.The night shots were a nice touch.
Any chance of some more cameos, when you've been flat out like a lizard drinking and not working on the current creations.
Keep up the good work ol son.Thank you and Cheers.
Thanks man. Yeah might do some more "cameo" stuff in the future 🙂
Still looking good
Found Your channel when looking at the airhammer contraption U-tup recommended. Instant subscription. Nice cars, nice creative approach, nice "doesn't work does not exist" bush-mechanic attitude. Thanks for putting in the effort to film, edit and share all that! All the best to You, wherever You might be in particular!
Thanks for the sub and welcome to my shop! I live on a small farm near Mossel Bay in South Africa.
Nice truck
I hated that deck when you started building it lol but it does look better patinaed jury is still out. Sub are growing great good to see
I love it , fly trape cool truck
That was the first truck for me that I watched you build, cool beans my friend!
Fly trap is a lekka name for a lekka truck. Hopefully all good with you boet and keep on making rust.
All good, thanks brother. Stay safe
I love your channel.
Thank you!
Cheers Div!!! Enjoyed catching up with ya in this video!! I remember watching you build the Flytrap from start to finish, but still enjoyed a refresher. great stuff!!! Maybe in a later video you could line up all your creations/builds in a big area outside and give us the walk around of em all. What eye candy 🍬 that would be!!! See ya in the next one boet!! Have a lekka one!!
Thanks boet. You won't believe it, but I have exactly the same idea! Maybe a celebration video when I make 25k subs...
@@ratrodsafrica Thats a great idea for a 25k subs celebration boet!!!! 😃
Looking good diff
I think you should build that motor driven pressure washer.Kind of a side project.
Too many projects...😄
Great stufc Diff
Nice art shots out in bush! I first found you early in this truck’s build. You were at 7k subs then, glad to see you getting more followers. I know I look forward to your Sunday morning visits, and get concerned if you aren’t there. Hudson looks like your best work, yet.
Thanks man!
If your pressure washer simply won't start, try to locate the pressure switch. Give that a good tap or to.
Worked for me when my pressure washer went out of order.
Thanks. I gave that thing lots of taps. In the end, rather hard ones too😄
My dad used linseed oil on the exterior of his wood shed. Worked very well. He used an old hand pump type bug sprayer to apply it.
Truck is still looking good 👍👍
Another great episode Diff...
Howzit ... Have a lekka one my friend...
Howzit Don. Picking up on the South African slang words boet! "Boet" is our word for bro or brother🙂
@@ratrodsafrica ok boet . 😆,,
Hay Im learning a new language..
Well a few slang words anyhow.😆,,
Be well and build on brother...
I'm taking a vacation this week...doing a little camping , road trip.. in the old motor home.(RV) ..

@@DonCatherman enjoy! That road trip must have been great!
@@ratrodsafrica it was epic.
😆,,,,,
Looks great, would also like to see update on f100
Looks like you are a fellow fan of bespoke body works.
New intro 😊
I love that truck 2kool man
Who said that you need a decent paint job?
Love the patina(and the pick-up).
I think you should consider fancy grates in the open holes under the hood. It bothers me greatly.😂
How about some flytrap lips?
You are not the only one that wants to see some grates 🙂
very cool truck brother
I think the Flytrap is a cool truck! Would be proud to own it!!
I really enjoy your videos, I like the mixture of donor vehicles that you use. I just acquired a 4x4 toyota that I plan on putting under a vw bug. Thanks for broadening my imaginations possibilities
That sounds like fun! Enjoy the build!
One!
I understand the maintenance thing. I always say if your bored by a house in the country there is always something that needs attention.
👍😊
Hi Div.
I was good to see the truck again ! Dude ! Those are some awesome still photos ! Did you do the photography?
No, they were taken by a professional photographer. Didn't cost me anything though. He wanted to add to his portfolio, so we made a little deal🙂
👍
✌
👍😀
waddup diff
Very talented the fly trap is very photogenic. do you have tough vehicle warrant of fitness like in New Zealand. We arent allowed to build such things unless its done with expensive certification. would love to build one.
This is Africa mate, there is freedom within chaos🙂 Plus we are good at dodging rules😅
New Zealand was like that 20 years ago. I miss the old place 🙂@@ratrodsafrica
You was just adding Rat Rod characrer to your plate holder on the front of Fly Trap.
Only 685 thumbs up for 3800 views ?
C'mon Man, it doesn't cost You anything to show Div some support.
👍🏻🍺
Fly Trap is holding up well. Have you put much mileage on it? thanks see ya next video.
Been driving her quite a bit yeah. She's a fun ride🙂
👍
if you add a product called JAPAN DRYER to your linseed oil it won't be as tacky ,so less of your road dust won't get a free ride.
Boiled linseed oil already contains Japan dryer and does not stay tacky.
Lekka Div
Betcha that 4 cylinder has more horsepower than the original inline 6. 😂😂
Haha, true!
oh yes. I wash rust all the time!
😂I'm not alone then!
👍👊
👌👌👌👍👍👍
How do you know when it is clean?
When the farm dust is gone😄
lekker!
An alternative to tossing that shitbox washer into the river, is finding a deserted highway...getting up to speed...and launching that mutha fukr off the back of a truck...hashtag...good clean fun. lol
Yeah man! I really like that plan! 😁
Before You throw that pressure washer in the river, save the parts You could use in the future.
You really should wear some gloves when you're welding.
In 50 years. You might end up with blotchy skin.🤨
Cheers buddy from the PNW Seattle WA USA.
Kidding about the gloves.😎
They should have been blotchy long ago! 😄 Too late now...
Sexyness sho oompie!,
Gotta say, this is still the one I want, but after spending a Sh!rt load of Rands on my daily, I still dream of this beast 😅😂
Keep on keeping the dreams alive!🙂
*i mostly like listening to him tell stories and make jokes
do you think he knows Die Antwoord? -they should colab and make something evil
I know of Die Antwoord but don't know them personally 🙂
Here ya go brother... hope it helps with that bloody pressure washer... ua-cam.com/video/mJwcfIdOTJ8/v-deo.html
Thanks man, I will check it out.
oh no ,how you going to wash your pants with no pressure washer
You remembered! 😁
Karchet is absolute kak man.
You said it!
