You are a tenacious dude Bob.... I've never been able to wrap my head around that extensive of rust repairs. Been in California 41 years now where pretty much you only get surface rust after 50 years.... Here up down in the keys where they hold a rust and custom show every year and you can buy you all the rust you want, I'll stick to California, Nevada, Arizona rides .... Great videos though, please say hello to Red for me.
Yea, I lived in Arizona and Nevada for a few years .... in the desert. Love the fact that nothing rusts. Wished I could find some old iron from there for a decent price.
Thanks for sharing that how-to on the shrinker/stretcher! I've been doing my repair pieces by welding along the bent seam. Good to see the alternative!
I sell apparel on eBay, and obviously they don't care about customer service. You can go back to their page were you bought the item and give them a negative feedback and explain that you should not buy from them . People do read the negative feed back. Hope this helps. Great sheet metal work. Hart Toronto CA
At this stage you could make it right hand drive. I so enjoy your shoes. I love old square bodies. I had a 76 4x4 3/4 ton camper special with a granny 4 speed. I put a 454 in her it was a lot of fun.
Holy moly Batman! I'm all for saving the old stuff. But this cab should've been scrapped! There's just so much rust in all kinds of key areas that usually aren't rusted - even on "rusty" cabs. But, with a cab this far gone, you'll good metal repair content for many months to come. ; )
Awesome Bob 👍🏽👍🏻 good thing you can swope parts and use the parts you got from the ripped off parts you got 😀👍🏻 it's is a problem when you send things back sometime's 😞
Nice metal work, lots of patience! Careful with those Ebay parts, cylinder heads especially. Check the valve seats for sealing, I've seen loads of them that need valve jobs brand new from Ebay sellers.
Good job Bob - mini version of the Fairlane fix!! Seriously - get the window right first and the rest comes out in the wash!! You did the hard part on this c10 - same thing on the Ford - bummer on the top end kit but that combo will run good and pull like a Husky dog! Maybe change the name!!
Love to see you hired some help, Manual Labor does good work. 🤣 The cab is coming along nicely. As for EBay parts….I’ll just bite my tongue. Keep on keeping on!😎
Love the knowledge and your attitude, you remind me of some of my favorite teachers in life. You’re like a book. Thank you for the time it takes you to make these.
Another great video Bob. Glad you figured out what you're going to do with the motor. I ran into a few idiots on eBay myself. I guess you'll have that. It takes all kinds to make a world. Keep up the great content. Keep on motoring brother!!! 👍👍👍
You're going about it the right way! When it comes to rust repair, it's best to do it one little piece at a time. It's a lot of rust, so it's gonna take a lot of time. But hey, times cheap! As for the top end kit, well now you're building 2 motors with 1 kit. That ain't bad!
Hey Bob on them side pillers you can use rust stop and then you can put lead in for body filler just like the oldden years, I used to use lead to cover welding spots you still can get lead from your local Auto paint shop along with bees wax for smoothing out the lead ,you have to get the acid flux so the lead will stick . They make 4 different types of lead for body filler . Try using lead you like it for filling spots . Years ago I owned D&L Auto an Paint and used lead in a lot of cars an trucks even on clipping vehicles
Great work sir. That welding is stellar. That top end kit seems like a bad buy. Hopefully that intake will work on something else. Love the new look BTW. Be safe and stay well.
Allrighty got my new RRBB T-shirt,got ma popcorn and a brand new RRBB vid.Life could be be better but it's hard to imagine how.O yea forgot ma beer. Wouldn't hurt ta teach Red ta do some a that there camera work. He's been gettin' a little lazy lately and spendin' too much money. 🤣
Bob, always go through E-bay complaint section and use the item not as described tab. Seems E-bay can get it done before you or i can. gonna be a nice C-10
Bob you ever use All metal? It’s like your Dura glass full of minut little ground metal. I use in small rust areas after I use rust killer. I’m building rat rods to and it’s fine for them.
Hey Bob, Wish i had your patience with the idiots from PCE!!!! You make the rust repair look so easy!!!! You find much more of that and you might have to change the name to The Rusty Dog. Keep going like this and you will have it done in no time!!
Hey Bob you are the man!,so much knowledge and skill great to see and enjoying this build long time since the ratrod love tosee ya doing your thing, stay safe till next time
This is still an awesome build Bawb, but I'd just buy the right airgap intake for those heads and run em, you still have a good intake for the peanut heads for a future build and those new heads wouldn't be setting on a shelf waiting for someday use,, that's a pile of money for shop art,, sweet work on that rust repair just wish you were closer because we have a local guy who has probably 8 of those cabs in way better shape than that one, market place auburn al. if you want to look him up
6:25 Good know how tip Bob on using stretcher& automotive shrinking tool wish knew someone around that has 78-80 squarebody truck cab to help cause it like pickup cab ur currently working came from up north ohhh & definitely don't buy parts on EBay some of their stuff won't last.
Great how to clip, too bad about the eBay vendor, I bought 2 monitor cable 2 different vendor both failed after a few weeks go figure. Supply chain problems galore too.
That a shame that ebay company wouldn't help you... It's even better you told us about this. That will hurt them an their sales..Your work is looking, Looking good bob..
Gonna be a no-go on the mail order 🔝 🔚 kit 😆. At least you have a set of cast heads so you can use the intake and roller kit (minus adjustables). I'd be pretty PO'd if it were me. Love watching you work Bob.
Very educational, shrinker an stretcher.bob why don't ebay reimburse you. That's there policy. Love the building of the awesome C10 rat racer.🤠😎👍
Bob is awesome he works his ass off 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Wow. Your work is awsome
Sounds good, premium gas.
Thanks for the heads up on pce 😎 eBay would help you get a return as they guarantee all purchases 👍keep up the great work 🥰
Great job and lots of work. I can do small rust repairs, but I would never tackle this because I would not be able to finish it.
I hear ya! But live for a challenge and it ain't that hard! Little pieces I find is easier instead of making a full size repair panel.
Another great video Bob. Glad you figured out what you're going to do with the motor. I ran into a few idiots on eBay myself. I guess you'll have that. It takes all kinds to make a world. Keep up the great content. Keep on motoring brother!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the tip. No PCE orders from me.
Really enjoyed this segment and watching you do the sheet metal work. Too bad about the top end kit but like you said it'll get used. 👍

If you blow out the roof and rockers your a piller and use Eastwoods frame rust ecapsulator
Hey bob! 🇺🇸💀🔧🔩🔥🔩🔧💀🇺🇸

Never seen so much rust damage in those spots Bob. You are a wizard it must be really satisfying to fill in those holes!
Mine has this and every c10 I've seen at the junk yard has at least one pillar rusted out in my experience it's fairly common rust spot
Great work on the welding repairs. So many people selling so much shit on E-bay. Glad to know about this company. Love the videos Bob.

Good job Bob. Always enjoy your tutorial videos. Truck is gonna be wicked. 👍
Awesome fabrication skills, you make it look easy even though I know it's not :).
Great work sir. That welding is stellar. That top end kit seems like a bad buy. Hopefully that intake will work on something else. Love the new look BTW. Be safe and stay well.
Bob with all your know how you should have built an acid dip tank for the cab to get rid of all that rust. Lol.
Always learning something new from you Bob! Great video!
I feel like I'm back in 1980s with the music 🎶 lol
Ahhh . . you gotta love Ebay.
Bob, always go through E-bay complaint section and use the item not as described tab. Seems E-bay can get it done before you or i can. gonna be a nice C-10
Maybe you could chemically dip it! Make your own hole in the ground line with a tarp , then add rust removal
Awesome only if i had a stretcher and shrinker i had to do this the old way of cut bend weld cut bend weld lol
Bob you ever use All metal? It’s like your Dura glass full of minut little ground metal. I use in small rust areas after I use rust killer. I’m building rat rods to and it’s fine for them.
Sure do preciate ya bawb

Hey Bob you are the man!,so much knowledge and skill great to see and enjoying this build long time since the ratrod love tosee ya doing your thing, stay safe till next time
Great work Bob , that’s a job and a half. Well documented and a good lesson on this type of repair 😎👍
This is still an awesome build Bawb, but I'd just buy the right airgap intake for those heads and run em, you still have a good intake for the peanut heads for a future build and those new heads wouldn't be setting on a shelf waiting for someday use,, that's a pile of money for shop art,, sweet work on that rust repair just wish you were closer because we have a local guy who has probably 8 of those cabs in way better shape than that one, market place auburn al. if you want to look him up
Great job on the patches , looks good. The Junk Yard Dog with patches, he’s been in a dog fight and lost but he’s coming back? Thanks for the video
