Hey, having major problems with this. Account paid up until 2022 but can't use your service and it has something to do with Lynx.
Know this because before the update installed lynx it was working fine.
Uninstalled the lynx because it wasn't working and kept getting update messages.
Its too advanced for me to troubleshoot. System is windows. Don't know what to do.
Have researched your help section but don't see anything else to help. Think its being blocked but don't know enough to know for sure.

Question are all these protocols stored within the device the app is installed on or is it stored on the connected server which then runs the encryption, cryptography etc
They run on your device itself, the servers themselves handle the transfer of data, it's your actual NordVPN app/program that does the encrypting of the input and output. The reason that each protocol leads to servers only for that protocol is simply so that if ever, in the absolute worst case scenario, one protocol failed, the data leak would be limited solely to that protocol at that time.

Their end also encrypts but that's due to automated programs running 24/7 on computers that actively encrypt what runs through their servers. So when they send something back to you, it's encrpyted on their end too of course but it's not their actual server doing it in an unprompted manner it's that they have set up a permanent VPN for themselves within their system so that when you ask to see something on a website the server automatically waits with the data to then run it through their program that encrypts it before sending it back to you. The sender encrypts, not the receiver.
@@RassionellMaddman that would mean a third party couldn’t see where the data from the accessed service goes after it reaches nords server due to encryption unless they slip a tracing program into the accessed service correct?
@@getstuffed2391 the 'unless' part is strange to me. Basically this comes down to which protocol, how many bits of encryption and other stuff like how secure NordVPN as a corporation and technological safe-zone is. The only way for data to truly get accessed by third parties is eother via subpoenas if the VPN keeps logs or a very specific, perfectly timed hack that would be aimed at a specific server company that Nord rents from, at a specific time due to a very strange vulnerability on their end. This happened once and only once and the fallout was minoscule with absolutely zero logs exposed only certain activity for a few minutes on very few servers was seen if I understand correctly and by activity I solely mean URLs and things, no user data at all was leaked.

If I’m being honest, I actually prefer openvpn udp on obfuscated servers because the websites will not know that you’re using a VPN as easily

Is NordLynx still safe if I auto connect to a chosen server?
It doesn’t matter if you manually connect to the server or our all automatically connects you to one. You’re equally safe regardless.
Nordlynx cannot start on my windows device and I cannot connect. It worked fine on another laptop but not the latest. I have tried this cmd reset command, I have run parts of the diagnostics tool and I have also tried to run nordvpn as a power user but it does not connect. Help?
Its not working on windows !!! Thats the case.
I try it on windows when it's first available, it's slower then UDP and TCP for me, I mean a lot slower almost 1/2 speed slower, that I gave up and just go back to use UDP. I have tried couple times in between to see it has work better then before, no luck.

It probably uses to much battery because its supposed to make speed on your browser or apps and games fast
I got digital signature driver problems for NordLynx Tunnel & TAP, so I have to turn off digital signature enforcement everytime I restart the computer to use Nord VPN. Anyone experiences the same problem?

Hello. Since all of our servers are diskless, none of the information is stored locally. All of the software of our servers is provided by our central system. Therefore, even if our servers were seized, no data could be found in them. Moreover, our no-logs claims have been confirmed by third-party auditors on multiple occasions. @@Nordvpn I tried all 3 (UDP/TCP/NordLynx) ,NordLynx gives me the most speed, but still only 400. Apreciate the reply though. I'll try customer support. By the way I'm using it,most of the time, on a PC with a wired connection. But I get the same results over WiFi also.

Nordlynx stopped working for me and nobody cares, I can not use VPN I paid for. Support was not able to help and closed ticket. So be careful to buy 2 years subscription, guys, as it may turn to less than 1 year.

But the reason I went to public resource was that I've already contacted support multiple times and they told that they don't take responsibility for their app don't working due the agreement I signed. So there is nothing I can do, I need VPN for work while travel and I need urgently to buy another resource as my over a year Nord subscription left has no hope to work. I want to warn people that to buy subscription for longer period to save money (as it is discounted), is not going to work in this case as Nord team is not responsible for the service they provide later as it said in the agreement. It can just stop working and you will have to buy somewhere else. I wrote about 7 times and finally got "feedback email", I left negative feedback but no one cares.
The thing is , VPNs are not for privacy , all vpns are connected to their servers which can be hacked, intercepted or used as a honeypoint. For privacy , never use VPNs .
