The world governments have seemingly given up on cracking the VPN or secured transmission layers, and have started moving toward forcing device manufacturers to introduce the government as a man in the middle on the device itself. There's not much the device manufacturers can do to stop this, since the government is who is making them do it. The governments dress this invasion of everyone's privacy up in "Think about the children!" speak, as usual. Rob Braxman talks about this a lot on his channel. He advocates that the only way around this massive intrusion to our privacy is to run a Linux based OS on our devices that is installed and configured by the user from known and trusted sources. Good luck with that, right?!
I just wish they would focus more on NordVPN instead of trying to bring out more programs just focus on one program and make that program work really good right now half of the times it’s not working very good specially, on the phone on a computer. It always seems to work good but on the iPhones. Been having a lot of connection issues.
I’m perfectly happy with that answer! I’m not trying to sway your opinion here, I’m just curious to know who you do trust…and why? By the way, did you watch the interview starting at 13:25?
@@AllThingsSecured 😁that was a spot-on question. Watched the interview. Lovely as always. I trust only mullvad for the reasons you know better. Would love to see you continuing these interview series by bringing in leaders from other vpn companies like mullvad, ivpn, proton, etc. And dont restrict to vpn company, go beyond it.
Just 1 matter of Fact, They're based in a state that has non existent privacy and data retention policy, there is no Gdpr likenin the EU, or better the Swiss legislation. There is no third party organization or national or International office who can confirm they're really doing what they claim. ProtonVpn for life
@@AllThingsSecured 😄 I had to think about your comment for a second as it threw me. I wasn't implying that your interview was an advert. I simply meant that I can't see Nord VPN without thinking about Internet Historians long running 'Nordman' advert segments.
They're basically the same. Seriously - their offices are less than 50 meters apart in Lithuania and although I don't think they're owned by the same company, they have a weird cooperative relationship.
@@AllThingsSecured Check out exodus privacy . What you find will make you regret doing an interview with Nord. Nord masquerades as a privacy company. Profit motivated.
Excellent interview. I've been with Nord for a long time and suffered occasional frustrations and concerns leading me to consider others. Maybe I'll stick around for a bit.
@@AllThingsSecured They have auto renewal that is not the easiest to cancel. I did successfully however many people have been auto newed with no option to cancel.

I have a nord vpn account, but my email address got hacked, so I have a new one, but you can't change your mail address at your Nord vpn account??? so I am paying for nothing... thanks Nord VPN...
Try canceling your Nord autopay subscription without headaches or drama. I bet you won't get it done without calling your credit card company and ask them to step in
Question , where is the proof they don't collect logs? VPN companies say they don't but how can the end customer know that they are actually not storing logs.
You'll hear tons of people tell you that "such and such" VPN shouldn't be trusted but "x and y" VPN can be. It's all security theater. Where's the proof? They do independent audits, but the real proof is whether or not they have information to hand over when requested by government authorities. I like Mullvad and iVPN, but calling them the "best" is entirely subjective in the same way that telling people not to trust Nord is subjective. The VPN world is cut-throat and people have strongly-held, mostly baseless convictions about it all.
@AllThingsSecured Good they do audits but that stays internal within the organization. If they do give logs / information to the government that definitely stays internal because of organizations reputation. Even if they refuse to share data with the government that stays internal as well , they won't share official conversation with the public . At best a vague public statement will be released, that they refused to disclose information, but still there is no proof in the end .In the end its all blind faith and hope they don't disclose your information.
@@AllThingsSecuredexample if tesonet is not a data mining company why have you hidden the ties with them for so long? and kept denying their ownership? or why do you use trackers and google analytics if you want to provide privacy? i can keep going….
But then you have to do constant maintenance and updates. One slip-up and your privacy and identity are compromised. Also, kinda hard to rent server space without credit card and personal info

Nord has trackers built into their apps unlike some others. Irony.
You can't make an accusation like that without a source.

NO ! I had major hacking which NORDS team in USA was part of
How would Nord be responsible for a major hack?

So, you've change your mind on vpns?
No. I don’t believe a VPN is an end-all security solution, but there are still valid use cases.

Great interview. Does that mean that ATS now officially recommended NordVPN as "the best NPN" out there?!
I don’t like naming a “best VPN”, honestly, but I trust them more now than I did before visiting them.
