The paint schemes on these trains are magnificent, I'm going to have to get down there and fill them a few one day. Thank you for sharing these with us!!
Awesome video! Just to let you know, I think switching your settings to 60fps switched the quality from 1080p to 720p. I would go for quality over a higher FPS personally.
Cold Spring and Breakneck Ridge is a great location. I’ve climbed the ridge. Dramatic views. It’s good that yours even a long lens for capturing freights across the River. I noticed a viewing platform on the cliff. Is it new?
Southbound trains have to lay on their horn while approaching the station due to safety concerns, which were mitigated when fences were put up around the platforms a couple of years ago.

@@EastCoastRailfanI agree I love this spot too
@@kayastern-robinson24 it's kind of ruined now because fences were put up around the platforms.

That viewing platform has been there for years, but I'm not sure when it was installed.
Thats a great horn.
Back in NYC times most of the line was 4 tracked hence 2 tunnels but with taller engines and just a new Railroad the Hudson line is 2 tracks
some of these areas look so easy for people to trespass at... they need more security and we as rail fans need to LEAD BY EXAMPLE~!
Amazing catches of Amtrak and Metro North and at 9:50 SHORELINER 3 cab car 6301 has the Sharpest R2SM Horn I’ve ever heard from a SHORELINER
They are actually called RS2M
Close enough
0:28 isnt That the train that crashed??🤔
Yes. 225 was involved in the 2013 Spuyten Duyvil derailment.
@@EastCoastRailfan Man!!

Well, it's still running.
Good! I am Happy Thx!!
do the track on the west side of the river reconnect with the one's on the east side somewhere up the line ?
No, it's a separate line.
How long were you there for to get so much? Nice video.
I was there for just under 6 hours, and thanks.
Nice freight catches
Thanks.
why do the cab cars lay on there horns?

23:05 Epic meet!
Was up there today and MN destroyed all views with fencing
That sucks.

Yep. I wasn't expecting them.
