I hope this is NZ vessel at the 2020 fleet review in the Philippines With all the big fighting ships that will be there this will be an eye catcher and should attract interest
Only if the deck can handle the heat from the rear nozzles. And to take off vertically the Harrier would not be able to carry much payload/fuel/weapons. Same with F35B.
The govt would rather see Australia invest in more frigates so they can ride their coattails. Our govt will instead pump more money into welfare and half arsed roads that last 2 weeks before needing more repairs.
What a terrific ship!... love the bridge... nice touch with the timber work around the windows and floor... With our two heavy frigates and highly capable offshore patrol boats as well as the Canterbury and the mighty Aotearoa I think we've got a very capable blue water navy indeed...😉👍
Eh? Surely you jest. Our two Anzac class frigates underwent a 650 million dollar refit over the last few years. All systems including new gun emplacement, radar, sonar, and missile silos with new CAMM missiles. They are state of the art now. Good to go for another ten to 12 years. Then again our Seasprites have test fired the penguin missiles and P3 too with guided bombs. Don't think our OPV need more than a Seasprite and 4 mounted 50 calibre machine guns to handle smugglers and pirates or poachers 😆
Great looking vessel
May God Bless All The Ships Company Sir.
super cool 360 video

Great Video, thanks for posting
You could land a Harrier on th front of that thing!

Thank you, sir!
This is cool
Congrats RNZN
Looks like a nice place to work.. if you don't get seasick like me :p
Currently is the second largest ship in our navy, at 4,500 tonnes! And five decks.
Love to see a few Type 32 Frigates enter service for New Zealand.
I know I'm Dreaming this country is to cheap to invest that much.

Cool ship! Not a fan of the video technique though... I feel sea sick!
Do we have any fighting ships in our navy? Any?

Is this named after Manawatu and Whanganui??
It's Maori for big heart. Also the fourth ship to bear the name in our navy.
Another nutt less weak ship. Easy target practice for any Chinese destroyer
The trite fan arespectively knock because medicine regionally correct failing a aberrant chief. brave, penitent grease

It's for VR headsets.
