I was actually lucky enough to accidently doing the dlc first, wich oddly I have a habit of of doing in games I dont know (the other one that comes to mind was Oblivion, so that was fun).
I don’t find kalamete all that hard, but trying to get his tail at least tripled the difficulty. It’s not about just killing him now, you need to hit him in the right spot, which is only available during some of his attacks, and make sure you don’t kill him before doing so.
17:01 So here's a spoiler: If you had done this DLC before fighting Sif in the main game, then when you went to fight it, the cutscene would be different as Sif would recognize your scent and let out the saddest howl known to man. It makes the fight that much more sad
To tell if a chest is a mimic or not the chain beside will face in diffrent directions Mimic: the chain faces towards you when youre stand in front of it Normal chest: the chain faces back Also some times you can see a mimic breathe
Like the other guy said, it's a manticore. A chimera has a goat on it's back and a snake on it's tail (sometimes a dragon). A manticore is basically a horned lion with wings and a scorpion tail.
It's nice to find new youtuber who's really entertaining I just wish you upload more consistently, I'm sure it's the best you do it's just nice to play your videos while in work Keep up the good content champ
I never realized the similarities between sanctuary guardian and divine dancing lion, but now I can't stop thinking about it. They have so much in common!
Welcome back, and good luck on the Duke's Archives which I will very much recommend you to equip the rare ring of sacrifice before entering the first fog wall just to make your game a less of a living Hell.
Funfact: if you have played this past timeline DLC before fighting Sif, he would recognize you and come friendly at the start. Its very touching and sad.
Apparently if you dont kill sif and you meet him in the dlc first whe you go go fight him in the cutscene he sniffs you and recognises you but he still gets ready to fight
You shouldn’t be sleeping on Havel’s ring - it DRAMATICALLY increases your equip load, meaning you can equip heavier armor and still fast roll. Endurance is handy for that too but the ring is crazy good. Also those tracers have like, some of the most ridiculous Dex scalings in the game. The silver tracer does enormous parry damage with the hornet ring as well. You’re still probably best off using a 40/40 str dex build to take advantage of all the hybrid scaling in the game while hitting the soft cap on both stats. ALSO, Quelaag’s Furysword does more damage based off humanity, capping at 10.
This has been such a fun ride watching you get thru DSR, I'm fully on board for the rest of the trilogy. Enjoy! Ps, I must point out the irony of naming Andy as the maker of the creepy toys in Toy Story when they're actually made by the character Sid 😂😂
Well done, you did manus without the silver pendant. Glad you didnt make the same mistake as me and accidentally start ng+ before doing the DLC. Took me hourse to beat manus, his combo attack one shot me, his magic one shot me, it was awful :') but i loved it.
Bit of lore for artoris Hes using his non dominant arm to fight you since his dominant arm is broken. From softs first instant of nerfing a boss out of his prime
Gold tracer is the best weapon in the game. It's basically a super falchion with dummy bleed. Super light weight and if you get a parry you can swap to the dark tracer for the crazy repostes❤
You got very lucky with a black knight sword drop a few episodes ago, black knight weapons are the some the strongest in the whole game. plus the innate +20% damage to demons is OP
I feel stupid because I finished the main game and it took me almost entire year before I learned there was more. I had no idea all of this was in the game.
17:54 "You should have killed me when you had the chance" the fucking deathflag you put up could be seen from space but honestly I'm surprised you didn't have more trouble with Manus; he and Kalameet are considered by many to be basically the hardest bosses in the game (gimmicks notwithstanding)
Well from here the remainder of the game should be pretty easy. You’re probably a bit overleved for Duke’s Archives and the New Londo won’t pose a challenge.
life hunt scythe is best used for pvp. also, you missed cutting off priscilla's tail, which gives the best bleed dagger in the game. but that scythe with its reach and bleed is really good for catching people in their dodge.
Bro is wearing the Rusted Iron Ring casually all the time in the DLC like it´s nothing! Could have swapped to a better ring, but he wanted the Challenge! I respect that! XD
Artorias is actually left handed but his main arm is broken in this fight so he spends the whole time disrespecting you with his strong arm tied behind his back and not even using his great shield.
also the best armor mix for lowest weight to highest def ratio is a mix of ornstein and smough armor. but you have to beat ornstein and smough twice in order to get the mix of armor. i use to run ornstein chest and helm, with smough arms and legs, with the "wood grain ring" which is the summersault ring, but they nerfed it.. if you had below 50% equip load, you would have a special dodge that is op. but i believe they nerfed it to where you have to have below 30% equip load now. in order to get boss armor, you must beat the boss first, then you can buy the armor from the merchant that is under the aqueduct at your main bonfire. you already found the guy, so he should be there. now that you beat ornstein last in the ornstein and smough fight, he should have ornstein's armor. which is really good and lighter weight than smough's armor. smough's is better for def stats, but heavier. boss armor could really help you.
also spears and shields go hand in hand, you can block while stabbing. and good looks on the dragon slayer spear vs a dragon. one of the best weapons for it 100%. and i never got to play the dlc, but one of my buddies says that kalameet is one if not the hardest of all dragons in all DS and even ER.
@@mitchellgarner1468 Fromsoft alway make the dragon fight is one of hardest fight in every game (maybe not ds2 and sekiro) like all dragon fight will be most chaos and a lot of AOE attacks, plus dragons's HP is very high. But fighting the dragon alway make player feel very good, different than we defeat enemies small size, victory feel like we are Davil just kill Goliath 😂
I'm the Chosen Undead, and Artorias is my favourite boss fight in Dark Souls 1! Artorias goop and wall goop are just the abyss, you've probably figured that out. Sif can be summoned in the Manus fight after being saved, but it's more of a distraction. And yeah the story of Artorias and Sif is just tragic, but there is also this ua-cam.com/video/KrRRXgSGlYc/v-deo.html . Just wanted to add that I like that you read the lore and try out different weapons, your editing is very good, the sound effects are funny, and I appreciate that you don't add random background music. Also your commentary is fun too of course. :)
Use the black knight sword and upgrade it with twinkling titanite to +5 i thinkmit requires like 7 or 8 trust me it does more damage the your boss weapons and it has alright scaling or the claymore to plus 15 once you get either weapons fully upgraded they do 500 damage
Yeah, the thing about Dark Souls 1 DLC is... the combat feels like it should be in a more combat fluid soulsborne than Dark Souls 1. Like, I love Dark Souls, but the first one is slower and more 'clunky' compared to something like 3. I mean, don't get me wrong, I beat it, and had more fun the cluster fuck that is DS2 DLC, but it was very very hard. Also, fun fact about the black dragon. Other than bragging rights, and the tail weapon, there is no reason to fight him... given his wrong actively makes Dark Souls harder, and is primarily done just ot make NG+ runs harder
ı want you to finish the game but at the same time ı dont want you to finish that serie. its good to watch dark souls from you buddy ( and sorry ı cant speak english wery well)
I'm now Playing DS3 for the first time, and Nameless King has declared me his newest bitch. Any advice? Edit: I actually beated him right after seeing the comment "Get gud"
Watching a lore video about sif is the life cycle of all players after the dlc lol
I was actually lucky enough to accidently doing the dlc first, wich oddly I have a habit of of doing in games I dont know (the other one that comes to mind was Oblivion, so that was fun).
The hardest fight is trying to cut calameets tail of
so glad his fn tail isnt part of achievement

Sorry for the long wait on this one, I've been infected by scarlet rot for about a week but I finally locked in
You got enough preserving boluses? I can drop you some bro
Remember to grab Flame, Cleanse me for the next time.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I've been really enjoying this series
Bro became reverse rotussy
Gough dropping kalameet from the sky is the best cut scene in ds1 what a badass
you need the Big Gay Ember to kiss men +10 and the Turbo Gay Ember to kiss men up to +15
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Where can I farm Gay Embers?

After saving sif, if you go human you can actually summon her to help you fight manus from inside the arena.
And then let her die so you become a repeat animal abuse offender 😂
@@furiousdestroyah9999 One time I let her get the last hit off for me. She is a good doggo.
Dude seriously waiting for this channel to blow up, this is low-key one of my favorite playthrough series on YT xD
im so happy he actually watched the lore videos
The lion thing is actually a chimera from ancient mythology
actually its a manticore
Actually it's a furry's wet dream

LETS GOOOOO NEW VIDEO! Glad you´re back.
That greatsword of Artorias will come in real handy in New Londo
9:49 Abyss Watchers are crying in the background
My genuine reaction to the lore at the end
My heart breaks every time I get back to the little puppy's story. And I'm willing to keep it up! Thanks!
Lol!
YES. Just yes.
Glad you’re feeling better (or at least better enough to enjoy the “prepare to die” punishment).
actually super entertaining, watched all the parts today, hope you keep going with the other games!
Sanctuary guardian is like having expresso injected into your arm, in contrast to the rest of the game
You nailed it. I killed this Manus boss with the talisman that emits light and deflects all his dark spells.
You truly nailed it without that item.
Thanks for always posting right when I need a video to watch
Love these to bits, I eagerly await each one.
