Thanks for your video, but in terms of standard publishing, and if someone is wanting to work towards industry standard, it is a little bit wrong. There are 32 pages inside the book, (two signatures of 16 pages each) but the cover and the end pages are not included. So in total, if you include the cover and the end pages there are 36 pages. All you need to do for your dummy is to add some thick card to the outside for the cover then it is perfect. Text should start on page 4 of your mockup.
Thanks for the tip, Chris! There are definitely exceptions to every rule. I was focusing this video on the Self-Ended Picture Book Layout, where a 32-page book yields 24 pages of story (24 pages making 12 spreads). This would mean page 1 and page 32 are pasted face-down onto the book cover and aren't seen. I appreciate you sharing your advice! Have you published a picture book through traditional publishing? Congrats!!

This is a good video, however, when we put 16 sheets of paper together and fold it. You now have 64 "pages" .... unless I am missing something? Sorry I realize this video is a year old.
