In 1966 the radio was optional. Who needs one. Drive it! My 1971 2800 was set up great, carb, timing. The mechanic told me it could run at top end all day. Let’s say I experimented.
Just terrific, thanks for posting. Brings back fond memories. A friend of mine back in 1979-80 had a 1971 Bavaria (stick) that I fell in love with, so while I was looking for a '71-'73 Mercedes 300SEL, I came across a beautiful '75 3.0Si (automatic, Navy/Tan leather) that I bought immediately. What a blast to drive! I see in addition to upgrading the radio, you also upgraded the steering wheel and the rims. Looks good, very good. Hope that you got every dollar you were asking for. .
Brings back memories. My uncle in San Francisco had an exact looking blue Bavaria in the 70's- mid 90's.

Why didn’t you mention that the paint on the top is shot
You should linger a little longer and give a better close up of the rust -right side passenger door.
Love the car, drove one for a few years in 92'
I used to know someone who had one. It wasn't as nice as this one, but it wasn't in bad shape. His had an automatic gearbox.
wow! What a fantastic and beautiful car man!

Beautiful looking car! I hope it went to a good owner. If I was in San Francisco, my favourite city outside Seattle, I'd check it out.

Should have kept it Polaris :(
70s car with a modern radio= ruined! Anyway, great looking car and clean. ;-)
