I personally don't dig 71 grille, but Craig you said the magic words, it is YOUR truck. I watch for the experience. It looks incredible and you've made me jealous...
I like the older 67-68 grills a lot more, no plastic to crack, but like you said, it's your truck! You do what you like to on your own vehicles lol. I can't blame you wanting to make both trucks match either
My father owns a 1971 Ford F-350 Dump Truck. It's got a 360 V8 and a 4-speed trans. I love that ol' thing, though it needs quite a bit of work. Hopefully some day my father and I can get 'er back on the road.
Hito, as an OG bumpside addict, i beg of you, invest in hood pins. Three times I had the hood slap the windshield while driving. Three different trucks. Love ya, want to see you with white hair someday. All that elbow grease and you left the hubs lookin like the scrapyard find 😂
Craig, I have a 72 f100 and you are so fortunate to have good grill pieces. I had to restore mine. On the back sides you can see all the tooth picks in-bedded in hot glue and superglue I used to hold those suckers together. You used black on yours, I used Rust-0-leum hammertone copper on mine.
In 1971 Ford had a color called "Swiss Aqua". I've always wanted one all Swiss Aqua with a Wimbledon White roof, stock dog dishes and white steelies. The OEM look is where it's at for me.
I'm a sucker for Orange, blue and a nice silver/light tan (Smoke stone) is my cars color and is a Ford. But hey it's whatever shade of orange and cream/white pearlescent 2 toning it on the side and cab like a factory option "if you ever repaint it" but I like the patina look! Keep it up! Have you thought of maybe a woody style? I've seen that before to!
Beautiful! Royal maroon was originally a Ford colour for 1969. And it is just gorgeous! And if you ever had to tow Micheal’s car it would match! Can you also do a more in depth video of the heater box removal? I have to change the heater core in my 68 and can’t seem to find a decent video
So good! My Uncle had a I'm guessing it was baby blue" and "cream two tone and a brown and white with the racetrack trim ranger. Both would be awesome on your truck. I dig what you do keep it up. I'll keep supporting!
71 grill is my favorite! I’m from around close to Soddy daisy. Hope there’s a few more trucks like this in the area to be rescued. I want to get a bump side highboy when I move back this fall. Great work on the truck!
Pull the dent out of the right side rear door and put a handle on it. As for two-tone paint, white with orange, white with dark blue, or white with brown bronze.
Looking good. So on future paint, I think either match the shortbed and it should match or how about a sundowner (yellow, orange, red) multiple color retro panels over a certain base color. Matching camper top too.
I great idea with the come. I have a mint 1972 F350 dump truck. It only is a one owner truck I bought from the original owner’s estate. Truck has just 20,500 miles, runs perfect on new big lug tires. Some kids sprayed black paint graffiti on the passenger door and hood. I got it mostly off the stock Ford red. I am gonna’ try you method to finish up with and buff the original red! Thanks so much for your video!
Dude you gotta try this cleaner called “pink stuff” it’s a multi surface cleaner and one day my wife said you should clean the rust off your truck hood. Keep in mind the truck hadn’t been washed in 4 years. So it wasn’t just rust but a lot of mess. Well I was trying to get so emblem glue off and couldn’t get anything to take it off. Ran inside to get the “pink stuff” because it literally made our pots and pans we cook with look brand new. So I was at my last straw. I used it as directed. Omg dude. Literally took the truck to what I call old show room condition. It was like night and day difference. What you used worked but that stuff worked great. Although it leaves it chalky. I could then wet wipe it and it came right off with a like mirror shine without any after treatment. If you get the chance try it. Found it at Walmart haha. I used the paste form but they have a few different forms. Even worked on the chrome trim. Tried headlights but no effective results yet on the glass. Keep up the good work. Oh btw fixed my 1986 bullnose with that efi problems. Carbureted it for now.
You might look into the 3g alternator swap several slick, bumpside and dent people do this swap usually because of the charging issues these trucks can't get away from..
Look into singer alternators & Mechman alternators them will build you a custom alternator for the truck. You can get high out puts for extra batteries too because they are the main two we use in big car audio installations
I would paint it mostly "that same color red" with the "white cream color"as a stripe around it. Maybe reverse the color scheme on the camper, Mostly cream white with a red stripe. Its a beautiful truck, no matter what!👍👍👍
I found that my ford truck had an issue inside the altenator where the wire leads that go into the diodes burned loose and lost connection. It was a cheap externally regulated alternator from advance auto. Unfortunately the quality of parts is not what it used to be.
The truck looks great . The comet-shot cleaned it up nicely . Also the black steelies look nicer , love the new grill . But young brother , please lose the moustache . The clean-shaven movie star look suits you better . And , oh , do you plan on repainting the trailer black too ?
Great ride. The only thing you might want to do is a trans swap like you did on silver f250 or a gear vender . Either would really bring this truck a live for towing.😁👍
Trash bag method is the way to go 👍🏻👍🏻 super easy. Needs to be on a sunny day, park your truck in the sun. Spray your glass on the tint side with some degreaser like simple green than take black trash bags and split them open to where it's like a sheet. Place black trash bag onto the wet glass kinda like a piece of tint for the windows. Let sit in the sun for about 20idh minutes, check your tint should come right off with it's glue, you can easily wipe the glass clean now, did this to my 89 Crown Vic and worked amazing
Also shouldn't need a razor blade during any of this, if you do make sure to be careful of any defroster lines in your glass. The way this works is the heat of the sun hitting the trash bags causes the glass to heat up and soaks the degreaser through the tint and softens it's glue.
Funny, I want to make my ‘72 into a ‘69. We always want what we don’t have. 😂 16:10 22:34 I would do Wimbledon White over Boxwood Green. But you would need the white wheels back.
I would personally never do this but imagine that thing slammed on some like white 24 inch steelies , im sure Detroit makes something like that. It's a great truck and I like how your working with it and not just on it.
Daaaaaang…!!! Looks awesome…!! I have some west coast style mirrors that bolt onto to door and the top over the wind wing… wanna trade for the grille you took off…??
Went through that charging problem changed alternator voltage regulator then it led to me changing my ignition switch and then my ignition wire to my starter then replacing my grounds and wire heads I live Chinese voltage regulators
GRAB YOUR MERCHANDISE AT WWW.NineONineSpeedCompany.com
Did i hear a lil juice wrld?👀♥️
Where's the "insane paint transformation" job? It still looks like sh!t.
I personally don't dig 71 grille, but Craig you said the magic words, it is YOUR truck. I watch for the experience. It looks incredible and you've made me jealous...
Dont mind the haters...its your truck and I like it! 👍
Truck looks incredible. We’re a lot alike. Just because it’s old and doesn’t have the perfect paint job, doesn’t mean it can’t look nice. 👌🏻
I like the older 67-68 grills a lot more, no plastic to crack, but like you said, it's your truck! You do what you like to on your own vehicles lol. I can't blame you wanting to make both trucks match either
God, these 70's trucks fukkin DRIP with style.
You need the spears aluminum bright work for down the sides.
My father owns a 1971 Ford F-350 Dump Truck. It's got a 360 V8 and a 4-speed trans. I love that ol' thing, though it needs quite a bit of work. Hopefully some day my father and I can get 'er back on the road.

All that elbow grease and you left the hubs lookin like the scrapyard find 😂
You, dylan, junkyard digs, pole barn garage are my favorite car channels
Crew cabs looking good! Only thing I’d say you need to complete the look are some west coast mirrors.
OD green would look dope
The matching grill is actually so sick😂🤌🏼
Craig,
I have a 72 f100 and you are so fortunate to have good grill pieces. I had to restore mine. On the back sides you can see all the tooth picks in-bedded in hot glue and superglue I used to hold those suckers together. You used black on yours, I used Rust-0-leum hammertone copper on mine.

That rental shack cap needs to go to the shredder. Bed side bar with lights would be awesome. Nostalgic nora looking race truck.
That's a nice ride, you got there, man.. Love the color scheme, too
I'm a sucker for Orange, blue and a nice silver/light tan (Smoke stone) is my cars color and is a Ford. What a transformation, I like the 71 grill better on the truck. The two tone paint a very dark Red or Maroon or Bergundy
Beautiful! Royal maroon was originally a Ford colour for 1969. And it is just gorgeous! And if you ever had to tow Micheal’s car it would match!
Can you also do a more in depth video of the heater box removal? I have to change the heater core in my 68 and can’t seem to find a decent video
Night and day difference, looks so much better. Going to do this paint revival job on my 71 C15
Looks great, some of the old school amber teardrop cab marker lights for the top of the cab would be icing on the cake
Nice truck how's the stang project coming along an after you rub it out you should coat it with zr53 ceramic coating best coating out their
The CC is awesome but I wanna see more of that first gen Explorer in the background, lol...
71 grille looks so much better! Great choice 👌
Truck looks great. Love the matching grills
Duuuuude this is the video ive been waiting for now u gotta tow the little one behind it and make it 4x4
That grill made it look Ford Tough 👍🏽
I'm definitely not digging that old purple tint on the windows lol
I enjoy people doing this to old-school trucks and cars
So good! My Uncle had a I'm guessing it was baby blue" and "cream two tone and a brown and white with the racetrack trim ranger. Both would be awesome on your truck. I dig what you do keep it up. I'll keep supporting!
I absolutely love the boxwood green.
Wimbledon white all over … d-slots but with the off road tyres .. exaggerated version of the short bed ..would look sick towing 👍 😎
That truck needs west coast mirrors!
Forrest Green would look great on that truck!
71 grill is my favorite! I’m from around close to Soddy daisy. Hope there’s a few more trucks like this in the area to be rescued. I want to get a bump side highboy when I move back this fall. Great work on the truck!
That lavender scent is a good match to your lavender tinted windows
Pull the dent out of the right side rear door and put a handle on it. As for two-tone paint, white with orange, white with dark blue, or white with brown bronze.
Looking good.
So on future paint, I think either match the shortbed and it should match or how about a sundowner (yellow, orange, red) multiple color retro panels over a certain base color. Matching camper top too.
The crew looks great! Glad to see it back on the channel. Hope to see more on it soon.
rub rail trim would look good
I great idea with the come. I have a mint 1972 F350 dump truck. It only is a one owner truck I bought from the original owner’s estate. Truck has just 20,500 miles, runs perfect on new big lug tires. looks great, I have an 86 chevy c10 I changed my grille to an 82 just because I like it! always do what You want

the truck came out nice, grill looks good.
You might look into the 3g alternator swap several slick, bumpside and dent people do this swap usually because of the charging issues these trucks can't get away from..
I personally love the grill upgrade I’ve always been a fan of the 71-72 grill. As far as the two tone a dark blue on white would look great.
Looks awsome , i have a71
Digging the farmer look you have going on, clean beautiful trucks. Wishing I didn't miss out the opportunity I had for a 77 f150.
The truck looks so much better! I think it would look good with a white and blue color scheme. Keep up the great work young man
Look into singer alternators &
Mechman alternators them will build you a custom alternator for the truck. You can get high out puts for extra batteries too because they are the main two we use in big car audio installations
Do some of vice grips wipe on clear coat stuff would work wonders on that truck
I love projects like this 👍🏽
I would paint it mostly "that same color red" with the "white cream color"as a stripe around it. Maybe reverse the color scheme on the camper, Mostly cream white with a red stripe.
Its a beautiful truck, no matter what!👍👍👍
22:43 whatever the blue version of candy apple blue is lol
Diggin the 80s red feather duster.
A power stroke swap on this truck would be awesome
Looking good! I spy an OBS service truck! That a side hustle too? Or the next Ford to the channel? Also I vote harbor blue!
I found that my ford truck had an issue inside the altenator where the wire leads that go into the diodes burned loose and lost connection. It was a cheap externally regulated alternator from advance auto. Unfortunately the quality of parts is not what it used to be.

Yes indeed some crew cab LOVE ❤, cannot wait for more content on the Tow Pig! CONGRATULATIONS on 200k !!!!
Hey Craig what's up with the Galaxie build????? I have been waiting and not a word! Have You sold it? I see all of the Toy's but No Galaxie!
Looking nice! Except that bent down rear bumper gets ocd riled up 😅 that front end looks alot nicer
Is that camper shell original? What brand? Looks great!
You should pin stripe it especially along the paint on the body line. I think a gold or blue would look good
Solid Wimbledon white🤙🏼
You should totally do a in depth painting tutorial. That would be awesome. I would love to learn how to paint right.
Might I ask why tire shine you used
Looks great you have a knack for making things look great with just the bare essentials. I’d do white and Aztec/Red paint
where did u find this and how much is there a video of u guys getting it? love this truck man
Give it the shine juice treatment, Derek can hook a fella up to make that going to town rig look right purdy . Cheers 🇨🇦
Looks really great
Go with a green for the bottom
That thing looks sick
Was hoping for a tutorial on pealing the purple tint 😂 I have it on my new low mile OBS dually, and it’s a biatch to peel
Trash bag method is the way to go 👍🏻👍🏻 super easy. Needs to be on a sunny day, park your truck in the sun. Funny, I want to make my ‘72 into a ‘69. We always want what we don’t have. 😂 16:10
22:34 I would do Wimbledon White over Boxwood Green. But you would need the white wheels back.
I really enjoy your videos. Love the f250 super crew. My suggestion would be to paint it blue and gold.
After letting my '70 sit for so long it now has the patina that's so popular 😄
Congrats on 200k!
You should paint it dark green metallic and the top cream. It would look sick and unique.
I would Do White, and baby blue.
Cream with a lighter blue would look mint
Now it needs a mild-ish 460 and a nice black widow exhaust
What in the '66 Galaxie is going on at 14:33 hope it ends up in a future video. Anyway, truck looks good, keep living the dream.
Are those headlights legal on classics in california?
He did a commet wash david freiburger approved
I would personally never do this but imagine that thing slammed on some like white 24 inch steelies , im sure Detroit makes something like that. It's a great truck and I like how your working with it and not just on it.
What's wrong with the f100 it is on Jack stands?
Daaaaaang…!!! Looks awesome…!! I have some west coast style mirrors that bolt onto to door and the top over the wind wing… wanna trade for the grille you took off…??
Turned out looking good
You need a set the f250 poverty hub caps on this so bad!!
Evaporust that heater box n clear it.
i prefer the 71 and 72 grills over any other. 72 is my fav.
Truck guy hear
White with Swiss Aqua 👌🏻
Went through that charging problem changed alternator voltage regulator then it led to me changing my ignition switch and then my ignition wire to my starter then replacing my grounds and wire heads I live Chinese voltage regulators
Can't wait to se how you fix the rear door I know how hard those are to find
Comet on the Comet????
Nice rig!
