I think you've missed one shortcut on Ninja Hideaway. On the bottom path in the great hall, there is a small hallway to your left. In the original track, this is covered by wooden cutouts, that have to be destroyed before entering.

I actually requested ninja hideaway a few months ago for mkwii, but I think it has to do with copyright issues that this track has not been made before and also because the track is very detailed
@@ninjacatfilms2046 yeah mkwii probably wouldn't work because gliders weren't out at that time but the mk8 one is very nice and detailed

Why do all the MK64 CTs now have collectables? It’s cool, just unexpected since the original game didn’t have that
I was wondering the same thing.
It's the only custom object that was available for the modding tools, when those courses were made. It's even featured as a special mode setting, but not mandatory.
The new version of the tools has support for more customizable custom objects, but currently no courses have been released with those.

@@MarioPower55 the visuals looked incredibly faithful to each game, with beautifully implemented textures. it makes the original version of this track look almost crude.

CTGP-U sadly got discontinued. Right now, the current project in the Mario Kart 8 community is CTGP-Cafe. They are just experimenting with new tools etc. Look out in the future though!

so how can we play custom mario kart tracks?
I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and would love to play some custom mario kart wii or 64 tracks.
Mario Kart Wii, I use the dolphin emulator with a method of replacing the tracks. I can tell you that the easiest way to play Mario Kart Wii Custom Tracks is through CTGP for your console. TWD98 has a really good tutorial on how to get that. For Mario Kart 64, all you need is a N64 Emulator, (A Clean Rom), and the program; "flips" to convert the patches. You can also play MK64 tracks and mods on console, but this will require extra attachments for your n64. (Which will cost money)
@@MarioPower55 you don't need flips, there are various online patchers like the hack64 one
Where can I find some ACTUAL custom tracks for MK8. 9 times out of 10 I've seen it's always just ports from other games.
