hey I usually don't comment, but I just wanted to say this was an amazing review. I never fully understood mic modes but the subtle visuals you added along with the mic tests cleared it up. Everything was super in depth, and the mic looks seems like an amazing buy.

The bi-directional is for conversations or interviews when you sit directly in front of someone. So it will only record 2 people and not the noises around! ;)

Why would you do that? If you want to avoid keyboard noise the only mode you will use is cardioid, no neet to test the rest.

This mic is amazing imo, it has all the features from other mics and more, and it also has good sound quality. love the fact you can mute it from the top of the mic. If i was to buy a new mic now, i would go with this one. Good review frank!

They always release the classic "HyperX style" red and black first, then move onto other colors.
Lets hope they do the same with this.

Kinda sucks you didn’t use your keyboard and mouse on unedited video so we could know what kinda pickup it had.
If you stream & using obs studio you look up how too add a noise gate filter and compression filter in obs to cut out keyboard & mouse sounds - if you use discord there is filters in there too

Well now I have to buy a new microphone
i went from a blue yeti to this and i like it so much better. it's a lot lighter and less clunky/bulky, and i don't have to deal with third party accessories for shock mount and pop filter. the fact those are built in was a big draw for me. especially since the yeti had that really stupid manufacturing issue with the threading size for screwing mounts. plus, this mic looks sleek with the red!

@@stutle7852 yup i still use it! been phenomenal with no issues. love the tap to mute function. there are new colors too but black/red fits my setup color scheme perfectly.

This mic is perfect, I am looking to getting started in streaming and youtubing(in fact I already have some UA-cam videos) so this will be great
Solid mic for the price and usability for the average consumer. I've studied audio engineering and for what you're getting here at this price is really solid. Sounds good, plenty of polar pattern options for versatility, included shock mount with no bullshit proprietary mounting options (meaning you can easily mount it to a boom arm or any mic stand)...seems like a no brainer. Looks damn good (RGB version is out noq too) for anyone looking to get into streaming or even voice acting or production without dropping a shit load on a full on mic/interface setup
I dont even need headphones to let you onow, it sounds good. Also, i wish they had made it RGB, because a red microphone would stand out in my setup.

I really love this micraphone, amazing sound quality, and I think the adjustable pickup pattern is an amazing idea. Althought, I would rather have a more simplistic black on black look instead of the bright red “This mic is for gaming!” look. That is just me though
those animations to indicate the mic pickup patterns were absurdly clean
I got the hyperX quadcast S and it’s genuinely amazing I’d recommend it to anyone, yeti and snowball are something for someone that has a lower budget 100%. But this mic gives you a lot of benefits for its price! The mic muting, audio adjusting, the headphone jack. Literally makes UA-cam videos and streaming significantly simpler!

I recently bought the hyperx quadcast, and out of the box in OBS, with no added filters, it doesn't sound too great. I didn't fret at first, but then even adding filters could only do so much for the quality. What settings/filters are recommended for this mic?
Great video man! The added animations around the 4 pattens was awesome too. My fear without boom would be it picking up mechanical key clicks would be horrible even in cardoid. Any feedback on the clicks while using the table stand?

Compared to the audio technica AT2020 the quad has more bass and it has a nicer sound overall IMO but the built in pop filter isn't very good and I could still hear the plosives very clearly, the at2020 is better in that aspect.
This mic has the usual usb mic sound, the xlr version of the at 2020 blows this out of the water

For the pc i am buying (gonna build one) and the setup i was looking for a good mic and found this.. the mic has already arrive and after i tested it:
- top quality
- cheap for its quality
- has modes which help you make streaming/gaming better
- noise cancellation (like keyboard and mouse and pc)
If you have the money then go for it.
If you have more many and you are ready to spend 500$ for a mic then buy CourageJD’s mic, it is a razer 400$ mic and i have tested it and it is amazing, there is this thing that i liked:
When i rage in a game i always hit the mic which annoys others, but with this mic it doesn’t even give the voice when touching it (btw this 400$ mic isn’t mine)
