- My name is Miranda Peterson and I'm an RYT500 yoga teacher based in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. There are so many yoga teacher training programs out there these days that it's hard to know where to go and what to do.
So, in this video, I'm sharing my honest experiences and opinions about how to pick the right yoga teacher training. I did my 200 hour YTT as an immersion in India and my 300 hour YTT in the US over the course of a year. I've experienced all kinds of yoga teacher training: International, Immersion, at home in the United States and a series of modules over time.

Thank you sooo much. I have been trying to figure out how the 300 teacher training works. You explained it well. I really did not do much homework and I had the same fears about scams. My class in online and it is a respected yoga establishment. After hearing you, I am really glad I did not sign up for the 300. I am more comfortable with what I am doing in hearing your journey.
I am starting my 200 on Saturday/Sunday. It is a course aimed at school educators that work with students with trauma. I really liked that my classmates are older and not the typical 20 y/o with the body frame to go with it. I won't stick out like a sore thumb. I can do this, one step at a time.
